  1. If I am Pegula/Beane/McDermott, this is exactly what I would say if Roger called and said they still want us to play:
  2. I mean we were already playing the Chiefs on a short week if things were normal. So we technically have an extra day to prepare for them now anyways if things go as scheduled.
  3. Schopp actually came up with a somewhat decent proposal: Assuming no positive tests for the Titans, move Titans/Bills to Monday night. Next week move Bucs/Packers to Thursday night. Packers are on a bye this week and the Bucs are already playing Thursday night this week so it isn't much of a disadvantage. Move Bills/Chiefs to either Saturday night or the main 4:25 slot on Sunday on FOX. FOX doesn't lose out on the ratings of that game, and Bucs/Packers is a pretty decent replacement on Thursday.
  4. It'll be just like the beginning of The Replacements where Gene Hackman and his coaches are going through players to find. Next week the Titans will have a safety named "Ray Smith" who has been a resident of Tennessee for the last 3 years and likes to embroider!
  5. I'm taking the Rams in my Survivor pool this week. The Rams still have all 6 of their division games left and the NFC West is going to be a blood bath so I am avoiding those games at all costs. Should be an easy win for a pissed off Rams team.
  6. There seems to be a lot of smoke to the fire. Even Jeremy White I believe tweeted something today about hearing how the Bills are putting together a protocol to give to the state. It sounds like they have some kind of plan ready and are going to need the Governor's stamp of approval. I think Erie County has been below 1% infection rate the last 3 days too.
  7. I don't think they would flex us since we are playing on Thursday night the next week.
  8. I've been going to Sportsbook at the Seneca Creek Casino downtown and betting on 4 team parlays this season. $10 each time, 3-1 both weeks so far. This week: Minnesota +3 vs Tennessee Washington +7.5 at Cleveland (I almost bet the moneyline on this one on a bigger separate bet) Carolina +6.5 at LA Chargers (Panthers cost me my parlay last week, hopefully I don't regret it again) KC +3.5 at Baltimore
  9. Doug Marrone and punting on 4th down from inside the opponent's territory: A tradition unlike any other!
  10. We added an extra I/R spot strictly for a player out because of COVID. We also allowed are traditional I/R spot to be used for a player on COVID as well. I'm more looking forward to going to place bets at the Sports Book downtown on weekly games.
  11. At this point I would be all for delaying the start of the season a month. Push everything back and start in October (move Weeks 1-4) to January. Let ***** settle in the south and maybe, MAYBE we won't have to worry about a spike in cases in September.
  12. The Dudley Boyz Stadium For People Who Want To Learn How To Put Others Through Flaming Tables Good, And Learn How To Do Other Stuff Good Too
  13. And we can have the perfect trap, I mean giveaway, for away visitors!
  14. Illinois just announced their Phase 4 plan starting Friday, which allows 20% capacity for outdoor sporting events. If numbers improve they might go up. Hope it is the same in New York. Of course we have ***** shows going on in Texas, Arizona and Florida now so who knows.
  15. Was at the game. I remember turning to my friend when they got to the 1 yard line and said "They better throw the ball to Watkins here."
  16. Comparing TV ratings to something over 20 years ago makes zero sense given the change in the TV landscape. They were not approaching 0. They stabled out to where, as others have said, were doing better than the NHL and college basketball at the same time.
  17. What I found weird is that a lot of retailers are already opened for Curbside pickup. So I didn't know why that was included in Phase One. The more I thought about it though, it might make it easier to go from Phase 1 to Phase 2 with that in there. If those stores are already open, it shouldn't affect the numbers drastically in this stage and might make a move to Phase 2 easier.
  18. So, Cuomo did say sports can open without fans RIGHT NOW Someone asked him a follow up question regarding football and sports etc. He basically still left the door open for fans. He said if sports can get by without revenue from attendance then they should. But if not it is something they will address. So the door was left open.
  19. Yeah I mean if the hospitalizations fluctuate up 1 down 1 every day does that keep resetting the 14 day decline for hospitalizations needed to reopen? Or would it then switch to the daily hospitalizations being under 15 I believe? If its the former that is really dumb.
  20. Wouldn't this affect college more, especially the scholarship situations? Most schools have their scholarship spots filled by the Draft. Lets say they have 5 players not drafted that want to come back. Where do the scholarships come from?
  21. Why does every thread get filled with "too bad the season will be cancelled/possibly no fans" comments? Can we please just talk about the schedule and nothing else? I like the balance of it. No more than two back to back home or away games. My boss at work is a 49ers fan and a bunch of us are trying to tell him that a trip there for a 49ers game sounds like great team building.
  22. Now you have my hopes up for this. I know we are 4 months out and anything can happen, but despite being relatively new here I want to believe you.
  23. @Hapless Bills Fan any thoughts on this? https://www.indiatvnews.com/science/covid-19-vaccine-in-1-month-csir-pins-hope-on-sepsivac-613529 Edit: adding this in here - it's not about Sepsivac, but it's another piece that explains the potential immune-boosting effect of vaccines like BCG and possibly oral polio vaccine. If Sepsivac works, it would likely be through a similar mechanism. TL;DR your body has two immune responses, innate and adaptive. Adaptive immune response is what develops after you contract and recover from a disease, or are vaccinated against a disease - your body learns to produce specific antibodies against that organism and churns them out quickly in response to a future exposure. But it's long been observed that people vaccinated with some vaccines, like BCG, become less likely to die from other diseases. The current evidence (and it's small) is that it has to do with priming your innate immune system to become more efficient and effective.
