  1. My experience is that Bills fans are mostly nice to visitors with visiting jerseys etc, and I was a season ticket guy for 30 years. (drunks excepted, but they hate everybody) However, a family member wore his Bills jersey to a game in Pittsburg a while back, and, it wasn't pretty. He had to leave the game because of the abuse from the Pitts fans. I predict things will not be entirely rosy next Sunday night.......
  2. I still have hopes Croom will return and win a job next year....he is the receiving TE we don't have this year.
  3. Yes, more than a few drops...at one point there were 3 or 4 in short order. Not winning play. Yes, Allen had a subpar stat game...but, he got stepped on, wrapped the ankle and was back out there....he was running for his life.....Ravens blitzed a lot, and Josh/Bills didn't handle it well imho. All those sacks were only partially Allen's fault. Lots of cases of guys coming in unabated as they say. Did I hope for more, yes. He will do better in the future.....this was a great learning opportunity for a young QB. As for the long throws...he was ok on them year one. This year is a problem. My view is it is a mechanics issue and will get resolved in time. It also think he is unloading long to fast....the rule is "as fast as possible, but no faster"....he is just firing without stepping into the throw and putting a normal motion on the throws. Better days ahead.
  4. Knox drops were pretty obvious......3 of them I think, but others had drops as well. Bills are not good enough on O to survive those mistakes. I don't see a TE on the Bills roster really.....not Knox, not Croft, not Smith.....lets play the kid from BC.....and find out about him. Maybe Croom next year......I actually thought he would be activated this year but apparently not.
  5. He could and should slide more imho. But I love it when he lays the lumber to the DBs!
  6. You are correct..in fact, its always theoretically 50/50. No amount of analytics can change that in this particular game imho.
  7. Good decision at the time. And, even if the Bills successfully resign Shaq, it won't be for the top money that the 5th year designation brings. Shaq may well get paid, but not at the top tier of edge guys. imho....he is a middle/bottom tier....legit NFL, but not elite. But, we didn't see that even until year 4, so Shaq is peaking in his contract year. I think, in the current administration, that attitude plays a roll in the Bills decisions as well. And, with his on field antics, its hard to judge what McD thinks of him on the score. (other than he puts him on the field)
  8. There were four Gronkowskies in the league at various times......I don't know if they even ever got to 2 on the field together though. The family at least had the potential to hit the three mark.......
  9. Yes, Josh is there now....and, imho, he will progress further in 2020. Still on upbubble as they say!
  10. He can be stopped, its just what else you have to give up to stop him.
  11. Nobody knows how good the Bills will be when the going gets tough starting NOW. But, they are on the rise, and some nationally are now waking up. (at least those who are willing to admit they were wrong about the Bills and Josh Allen) I appreciate McD's anwer, it speaks to being part of something bigger than yourself. Like all Bills fans, I have hopes, both short term and longer term. First time in a couple of decades for those feel good notions.
  12. It used to be you could buy the game on NFL.com when outside the USA.....don't know if that is still in place.
  13. 49ers played them tough. Gonna be a few ideas from that game film im ho. I think taking the Bills at home with 6 1/2 points is a great bet, but not driving 105 miles to Del Lago to put a bet down........
  14. Then we could only meet them in the AFC title game at New Era.....sounds like a plan to me!
  15. I know how this all played out with the Bills and Anthony Lynn....and I would not want to not have McD....but, I have to say in a positive sense only, A Lynn was the one that got away. He will do well for many more years....particularily if the Chargers owners let him.
  16. I don't like the prime time games.........I like daylight games.
  17. Allen white and Edmunds were 1st rounders and have different rules than the other two. Neal is around also......I thougt both Hyde and Poyers had 4 year deals...that would make 2020 the fourth year.
  18. The zebra's missed the hit(s) put on J Allen in Q1 on Thursday......he was sliding, and got hit by two guys. Romo even commented on the broadcast. And, of course, on the broadcast the "broadcast official" (Seritori) was not asked to comment on the no call. Our QB deserves the same protections as other QB's, I don't care if he is a running stud of a QB!
  19. Wasn't it Marv Levy who told the team that when they scored a touchdown (or a sack)...."Try and look like you have been there before" I think that is good guidance. All those gestures are not going to get you paid more. Your play gets you paid, not your antics.
  20. The relative easy schedule the first half of the season has been for the team and Josh like a long runway is for a plane....the Bills have learned along the way...and the Bills are now ready to really FLY!!!
  21. Yes, your comment reminds me of the Bills "no quit" ethic of the Super Bowl Years in the 90's. Kelly, Bruce and company NEVER gave up.....that is how its done if you are a winner!
  22. Yes, I noticed that look on the sideline. Getting his head right imho. Good for him, THAT is how its done folks!!
  23. I would not call the Bills chances against the Ravens a long shot. The Ravens will be favored, but I will take the points and the Bills at home every time in this matchup. Its close to a tossup imho.....
  24. To much Cowboys smaltz on the broadcast for me. Emmitt who? Call the game and stop interviewing a guy who retired 15 years ago. I don't care if you are goomba's.....
