You're welcome. Merry Christmas!

This will be one of the thousand threads pertaining to the Bills draft picks next year. And it will be one of the thousand threads that is POINTLESS as long as Buddy Nix, Chan Gailey and Dave Wannstedt are running the team. Players will only make a difference if they are led by competent people. It is like putting premium fuel in a car with a faulty engine. It won't make a difference until you fix the problem. The problem is mediocre talent in the front office and the coaching staff. Chan Gailey could make Andrew Luck or Robert Griffin look like a bust.

This post should be in the Hall of Shame! I should go back and find the posts where I said the hiring Chan Gailey and Dave Wannstedt were bad hires. Two more mediocre coaches doomed to fail again in Buffalo. I should post all the names of the posters who said I was crazy. Ah heck, that would be too much work. I'd have to post a thousand names. Herd mentality is difficult to break.

Good call. At least you are consistently wrong.

Chan is a great coach...if he gets a great QB
Billsguy replied to BisonMan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chan Gailey is NOT a great coach. Period. -
What good would it do to move up the draft board? The clowns at One Bills Drive would screw it up anyway. Seriously, until Ralph Wilson is no longer the owner of this team, the Bills are doomed to mediocrity.
-
This is the Bills story: just mediocre enough so that the GM and Head Coach can keep their jobs, but not bad enough to get an elite QB in the draft. The perfect storm of annual failure.

Fitz was outstanding.. for all you haters
Billsguy replied to 8-8 Forever?'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Last 4 drives in the 4th quarter 4 plays and PUNT 3 plays and PUNT 3 plays and PUNT 4 plays and INTERCEPTION Brilliant! -
Here is what we know so far this season: the Bills can beat 5 bad teams including the two worst teams in the league. We also know that they haven't beaten any team with a winning record. Conclusion: this is another wasted season. Mediocre in way too many areas. Bills fans deserve better. Maybe the next owner will do better.

Can we see what we have in TJ? [Tarvaris Jackson]
Billsguy replied to Clockwork's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am puzzled by the trade, but what I do know after watching Tarvaris play is that he stinks worse than Fitz. -
Colin Kaepernick [get 'er dun!]
Billsguy replied to buffalover4life's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills fans are living in a bubble of delusion if they think the SF 49ers would trade Kaepernick. How about moving on to the next fantasy. -
I agree the coaching was horrible. Miami stinks, otherwise the result would probably have been different. BTW, the Bills linebackers are dreadful (Sheppard and Bradham are brutal). Also, the blocking schemes frequently left Spiller to block a DE by himself. At other times the DE rushed Fitz untouched. Terrible coaching and design. The RT Hairston really struggled. A win is a win, but these giant weaknesses won't beat too many teams in the NFL.

Please not another Jerry Sullivan rant! I didn't see Sullivan fumble or throw any interceptions yesterday. This "kill the messenger" mentality is typical loser behavior.

In order of importance: Ralph Wilson,Buddy Nix,Chan Gailey, the players on the field led by the QB. Wilson is responsible for hiring Nix to bring in quality players, Gailey is responsible for properly coaching the players and selecting the proper plays, and finally the players are responsible for executing the plays led by the QB (as the most important player). If the players aren't capable, then ask yourself, "Who hired them?"

Go back and read about ten thousand posts on this board and you will realize that 13-26 will get you praised in Buffalo! Re-read all the "In Chan we trust" posts.

I never saw this coming regarding Dareus's play....
Billsguy replied to Kipers Hair's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My sympathies for his loss, but he wasn't playing well before the tragedy. -
I'm excited to have Kelsay starting again!
Billsguy replied to DisplacedBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Kelsay era has been a huge success!!! With success like this, what does failure look like? The bar has been lowered so low that Bills fans are now cheering mediocrity. Yeah! -
Let's go back to the previous postings on TBD for contenders. For example, the 95%+ of posters who raved about the hiring of Dave Wannstedt as defensive coordinator are prime candidates. Go back to these posts and re-read all the glowing things that were written about Wanny by these super informed posters. It is great reading and hilarious too!!! If that doesn't get you the candidates you need then go back to all the posts defending Chan Gailey and Buddy Nix. Huge laughs reading these old posts, but yet no one seems to take responsibility for them.

Jaws rates Fitz #30 of 32 Starting NFL QBs
Billsguy replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Some talent (certainly not lots of talent), but not nearly enough. The most glaring talent deficit is the coaching staff. -
Bills offense is 5th in total points scored
Billsguy replied to GoBills!'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And they are 30th out of 32 teams in points allowed. The Bills would really have a bad defense if they didn't have a defensive genius like Dave Wannstedt running the show. Thank goodness he was available for the Bills. -
I remember when Wannstedt was hired and I said this is another example of the Bills hiring a mediocre coach to join an already mediocre head coach and staff . Well the posters at TBD exploded and repeatedly said how wrong I was in my evaluation of the Bills coaches especially Wannstedt. Well it's only been 4 games and I have seen nothing to change my opinion about the Bills mediocre coaches. Gailey was washed up and out of the league for a good reason, ditto Wannstedt. If you combine a poor decision maker at the top (Wilson) with mediocre management and coaches (plus a backup quality starting QB) you end up with futility year after year. Welcome to One Bills Drive. The Bills are better than some really bad teams, but they are nowhere near a contender.

As good as the replacement refs were in Week 1
Billsguy replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why is anybody surprised? A bunch of greedy billionaire owners trying to crush the little guys. The NFL is greedy and could care less about the welfare of the players or the regular officials. It won't be long before they ask the replacement refs to take a pay cut.
