you sort of wonder if the cold business moves end up taking a toll on the culture of that organization. They basically jettison a lot of key stars in their primes, with no real warning. Tyreek, Snead, now Thuney. Thuney seems especially cold, since they basically asked him to play way out of position to keep that team afloat down the stretch.

Adams seems like a weird dude. He has to play with very specific QBs (Rodgers or Carr), or has to go to a specific geographic region? seems shortsighted. Maybe he should sign with a team where he will be a great fit and excel.

I can’t believe you guys struggle so much with shopping carts. Just a bunch of shopping amateurs. I am like a zen master at the grocery store with maneuvering my cart. I will also divert my plans to avoid heavy traffic area, leave my cart at a distance to pop through busy areas, strategically use end caps, etc. maybe I can offer some lessons?

Good point. It’s a risk-reward strategy, I guess. You bet on a guy early, and probably are able to get a deal done on more team-favorable terms. But if the player underperforms, you are stuck. I do think though it more readily allows us to sign our guys and not get into contract wars with some of our best players. Imagine if we had waited on Dawkins— probably would have been too expensive to sign.

listened to a podcast the other day talking about the demise of Boston Market. It was basically the cheap grocery store rotisserie chickens that did them in. There are a few Boston markets left, hanging on by a thread, with the operators basically running to the local grocery store for ingredients.

Isn’t it something that the Bills basically never use the franchise tag? Testament to our front office getting out ahead of some of our really good players and locking them in (eg, Dawkins, Spencer Brown, Shakir).

This might be veering into a “pet peeve” thread. But I have gotten so annoyed at all these reserved curbside pick-up parking spots at stores, that I now actively seek them out to go and park in them (even if there are other open spots nearby).

Agree. I think this is the most plausible scenario. Wife dies of a medical issue, trying to go for pills. Hackman goes for help quickly and falls and dies. Explains why the one dog wasn’t uncrated.
