  1. The GM is not denying there are still needs. He won't fill them with anything but 1-year deals unless someone comes to market in a need position that has a future. That would be rare -- but the Bills are in a position to back-end load a contract. I think the end of next week will bring some vets to market to add to the ones already there in positions of need.
  2. I like that we are two deep on the line.... I hate that we are thin at LB.
  3. Wonder if Warren counted all the plays at the end of this game where the main ball carrier was none other than Josh Allen....looks like his coach has a lot of faith in him here...
  4. Lorax approves of the hire.. Lorenzo Alexander‏Verified account @onemangang97 12m12 minutes ago Replying to @ProFootballTalk Nice! Taught me a lot as a Rookie. Hell of a player, better dude. Its a shame his career was cut short but has thrived in life after football.

  6. Nice tribute to Josh from the U Wyoming Football beat writer at the Casper, WY paper http://trib.com/sports/college/wyoming/football/foster-hard-not-to-root-for-josh-allen-after-what/article_c8e959d9-bc73-5ec5-a196-8efbced3f826.html
  7. FP-- I promise I will pray a novena in your honor if you are right and Josh is a bust. I promise I will buy you a round or several if we ever meet if Josh is a bust. I will write a post that states 100 times that we "Should have listened to Faidingpain and the others when they said Josh was a bust, they were, in fact, correct." Can we settle it there? I don't want to be Pollyanna or anything but I would like to bask in the glow and warmth of the fact that the Bills for the first time in their history invested a top 10 first round draft pick in a QB...just about exactly one week ago. Just for a couple of months until he starts hitting the media tent or something at training camp...
  8. We need to bring in Crash Davis to coach Josh Allen...... Hey Josh-- hit the Nose Tackle in the balls...
  9. Absentee owner in Ralph who had a 100% faith in him and then he was the only one with executive knowledge when the Pegulas bought the team. This is logical timing for an exit but it's sad it ends seemingly in scandal... Is there something you want to tell us?
  10. Rosemary Wood and John Dean- related to Russ Monica Lewinsky and Linda Tripp - two of his conquests from his younger days Stormy Daniels - she says -- better lover than Trump Russ connects all the dots of the last 40 years of scandals...
  11. Agree CB. My speculation...McD showed the Pegulas a plan to transition leadership in the administration, personnel, player and coaching side. They liked the plan and gave him the direct pipeline but they wanted to be kept informed. This would be a normal transition. Whaley, Berchtold, etc were all as good as gone the day he walked in...but you don't fire the personnel staff in January when they have all the draft information. McD built his coaching staff and looked at the other parts of the organization including the players. He found that the loser mentality permeated parts of the organization he didn't anticipate, but he wanted a second set of eyes that he trusted to evaluate players, personnel and administration. Enter his hand picked GM - Brandon Beane. Beane worked on his staff first, then reviewed McD's assessment of players...Watson (low effort diva); Darby (not a fit for the hard nosed cover corner); Dareus (keep him but get rid of him if his attitude starts to go south) --then together they started to work the plan. They were patient and open-minded but once a decision was made they acted quickly with Terry's full support. Brandon's public persona of a slick, fast talking, marketing deal maker just wasn't ever going to fit McDermott's style. I speculate that the reported rift was over Watkins -- Russ saying -- no way he's all we've got to market and he's all over our electronic and print materials and McDermott saying that's no longer how we make decisions and by the way get out of my face...this is a football team not a promotions event. Just speculating -- but I think this is probably a bit more than normal new coach turnover but clearly shows McDermott and Beane are in charge.
  12. Would have done it for me....just barely though...not a damn penny less ;-)
  13. I agree Augie....I think we are in better shape today than with Marrone. I am just projecting that Marrone was disgusted with the work environment and Terry and Kim were not going to give him the authority they have given McDermott -- hell they barely knew him.
  14. All this said, I want the Bills to beat the hell out of the Jags at New Era this year...not just win but stomp them....the first time Bortles scrambles I hope Tremaine just plants him....Hey Blake -- remember Preston Brown--umm he's with the Bengals now...our new LB is faster than you... Happy--I agree with the Coughlin part. Marrone needs a mentor...
  15. We're keeping Whaley and Brandon...that's all I would have needed to hear from Terry Pegula. I would have opted out as well. Remember when he confronted Monos and the clown show broke it up.. https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2014/9/5/6110233/doug-marrone-buffalo-bills-officials I admit Coach was an arse..but in hindsight, it was likely at least partially justified.

  17. Bills bringing in Austin Apodoca QB - WSU/NM and CFL for a tryout... according to Benjamin Albright Benjamin Allbright‏Verified account @AllbrightNFL 13m13 minutes ago #Bills not done looking at QBs. Bringing in former Washington State/New Mexico and Winnipeg(CFL) QB Austin Apodaca for a workout next week.
  18. Mike Harrington equals an old scout..
  19. Tim added.. I think there are a lot of folks at PSE, the Sabres and Bills who like their workplace a whole lot better today. This was the worst kept secret in town and there were a lot of folks who thought Russ was untouchable. He is comparing this to the Panthers story and saying Jerry Richardson has to sell the team for a whole lot less than the accusations against Russ Brandon..
  20. Tim Graham is calling into his own show right now on 1270 The Fan. Bucky is hosting today. Tim said: 1) The investigation started with an inappropriate relationship 2) Found other "issues" (he stressed not criminal) that the Pegula's felt were not the way they wanted PSE, Bills and Sabres represented - thus the move was made. 3) Found Brandon's statement less than believable -- he spent time off the record with Russ at the owner's meeting and there was no indication of dissatisfaction with the Pegulas or his job. 4) Likes the Kim Pegula move -- because he feels Jason, Brandon, Sean will make decisions unencumbered about on the field/ice. Kim won't be involved in personnel decisions.
  21. Russ obviously didn't respect the process....
  22. As the Bills Turn....Jesus, Mary, and Joseph.......
  23. I love the way he shook it off and did the rest of the drill. #ResilientBills
  24. Gisele has her man on a short leash?
  25. Not one of my prouder moments TD...never will be. You hit on the thing I will take to my grave. I hurt people dear to me. My team members at the company, family....etc. I did that--no one else. You never make it up no matter how much you try to or express regret. I can't let it consume me because I am still responsible for providing for others but its a private hell I deserve. Hopefully, Russ will get to the point where he understands that owning starts the process of healing for others impacted. The relationships are never the same but they can be rebuilt to an extent and there is a bit of courage and increased self-respect in owning it. Augie hit on it--it's selfish, unprofessional, immoral and all other bad things you can think of...but I did it---I needed to own it. Hopefully, Russ gets there some day. Okay--I am through baring my soul for you all today, but we are in more than a minor way family on this board. Hope I helped some folks understand my personal view that it is never, ever appropriate for a CEO of a company, particularly one as high profile as PSE, the Bills and Sabres to engage in this behavior. Its more than respect for women, its understanding what the role represents and behaving accordingly.
