  1. Not sure that I like the fact that Josh and Sam are buddies. Josh needs to understand how much Bills fans hate the dog Ass Jets; the Fish and the Cheatriots.... ? No one is standing close to the arrogant little bastard QB who we all wanted to draft ?
  2. Bishop Curry is a Bills fan. Spent part of his childhood in Buffalo and caught the fever. He was probably wearing a Kelly Tough t-shirt or a Kyle Williams jersey under his vestments today.....We are everywhere.....
  3. It's not astrophysics...come on guys -- everyone is entitled to an opinion, even if its formed more on ideology than knowledge. Stay Bills brothers.
  4. I am in the broadband business. I love the repeal from a business perspective. Non-traditional service providers are going to build their own long-haul networks between SuperNAPs and are looking into last mile networks with innovative CLECs to avoid the incumbent networks. Business is fricking booming. That personal opinion aside -- I have seen enough behavior of the incumbent cable and telephone companies over my career to be suspect of how they will manage their networks. Even with the repeal, I am confident that this is not a big a deal as it would have been 5 years ago -- because the platform providers now have plenty of options to by-pass the traditional provider networks and that will only increase. As usual, the incumbents are two steps behind the market and fighting for something that in a decade they will back upon and regret.
  5. https://www.wired.com/story/ajit-pai-man-who-killed-net-neutrality/ Thought this was interesting...and pretty fair...
  6. Yep. He has in the past voiced support for the FCC rolling back the rules. There is an effort to work around him.. http://thehill.com/policy/technology/388084-dem-rep-to-launch-discharge-petition-to-force-net-neutrality-vote-in-house
  7. June 11th is the date... it's a valid question...Verizon, ATT, CenturyLink/Level3, Comcast, Charter, etc. have alluded to some commitment that they won't manage traffic any differently than they do today. However, I don't know whether I believe that if a provider has a competitive movie streaming service that they will treat Netflix packets the same as their own movie streaming packets. Will they upgrade routers and switches in SuperNaps that peer with Netflix?? They could also make NetFlix pay for priority access and then Netflix passes this along to subscribers. That's what this comes down to-- do you trust the large ISPs to treat all traffic the same even if they offer their own competitive service or see a revenue stream from charing content providers.
  8. Citizen feedback moved the Senate. My local house member is already on board but if I was passionate about the issue (which we should be) I would be writing my house member today...the letters to house members are around 10 to 1 in favor of keeping the rules in place.
  9. Participation ribbons after games I heard as well...everyone's a winner...
  10. Now it has to go to the House and then to the President for signing. Chances of it passing the house are slim. Chances of the President signing it into law if it passes the house are slimmer.
  11. They haven't called me yet, Kirby. Just sitting here pinning away in Carolina. Growing older and slower by the day. Could I be Kim's coffee-fetcher or something?
  12. Chubbs would have bet his right arm on this if he had one, Happy...
  13. Westie--I am so sorry for your loss. I remember when your wife passed. How can we help you? This is a national/international network of folks who are your sisters and brothers. We have folks on this board who have lost spouses & children. We know counselors all around the county. We love you because you are one of us and we want to help. If you are embarrassed to think about what your wife would think of you today, then tap into the TBD resource. PM someone, post another message, get help. Reach out, don't stay within yourself. You don't have the answers to move forward alone...only by reaching out to others can you find them. Sharing your grief outside of yourself will lead to support that you cannot today imagine.
  14. Yes, its true, we did take certain liberties with our female party guests .... ;-) This is triple secret probation at Faber College...
  15. I think Taylor limited Dennison's ability to throw intermediate and deep middle in fairness, but the offensive was about as creative as a freshman algebra 1 class. Dennison had to start adding in Anthony Lynn run plays to pick up the run game. The snow game is a great demo of this...no zone frickin' blocking....just power and pulls. So if Daboll is going to use the whole field and also go with power run....that will be a step towards a more "open" offense.
  16. I have been waiting for an expert opinion to confirm this suspicion I had. Thank you Frappy!
  17. 60's Making OJ a decoy his first two years. Thanks, John Rauch. 70's - early 80's Not retaining Chuck Knox Early 80's version of Rex Ryan was Hank Bullough 1987-1995 - Letting Polian Go...Ralph, Littman and Linda couldn't take the honesty Letting John Butler and then Wade Phillips go 2000's becoming an NFL farm team with the talent we did obtain - Winfield, Williams, Clements, Poz and then drafting horribly and signing crap like Langston Walker, Chris Williams (who was damaged when we signed him). Focusing on marketing with moves like TO instead of the on the field product I agree with the posts about not shoring up the Bills weakest area ever. The Bills really needed to try not to make the playoffs for 17 years...
  18. Good observation Kelly. Kerley is also more of a slot. I keep looking at Patriots plays. There are lots of plays where 2 guys considered traditional slots are on the field at the same time...Amendola and Edelman for example. This one is a trick play but that formation is fairly common with a traditional slot guy on the outside. On this play, Gronk is essentially pass protection, but I wonder if Daboll is loading up on slots to run "picks", screens and other easy throw plays....
  19. Good article today in the Buffalo News - behind the paywall-about Austin and Ricky Proehl. http://buffalonews.com/2018/05/12/inside-the-bills/ Here is a Ricky Proehl quote from the article, that I really enjoyed seeing.... Ricky would have been happy with his son joining any team, but admits it’s much sweeter that it’s the Bills who called. "I knew Sean would be a head coach,” Ricky Proehl said. “He gets it. He understands players, he understands how to put people in position to be successful. Guys respect him. They love playing for him. He and Brandon are creating a culture that's conducive to winning, so when your son has a chance to play for that kind of coach and that kind of management, it's exciting.”
  20. I wanted Hue over Rex when the Bills hired Rex...I now see the Bills couldn't have made a good choice with either finalist...Its not this decision alone its the way he has to grab attention and use his media friends to feed his ego. Give me an understated, humble coach.
  21. I love to see the word "rep" used in a tweet. It sounds like real football.
  22. Did you see the way he handled that shotgun snap. That was amazing. Canton start measuring the jacket and carving the bust now...The kid from Shippensburg was so intimidated he couldn't even throw the ball...Its also true--Allen seems fine handling the Buffalo weather. I can read so much into that throw.
  23. I've been hoping we would give Dontrelle Inman a look... tall, hands catcher, reliable...
