  1. You can't just be hearing about this for the first time. Right?
  2. How can these be considered "spoilers" when it seems to be guessing. It's been wrong twice so far
  3. 6 for 6 players. Incredible for this particular year.
  4. The first two picks made sense for the teams. Local/semi-local products (Jacksonville is almost southern Georgia).
  5. May I ask why you expect the Bills to pick Emerson in the 2nd round? I'm not disputing the possibility but he's expected (by most reports I've seen) to be a 3rd-4th round guy.
  6. I really only wear T-shirts around the house. Almost never when I go out. But I'm tempted to get one of those. Maybe a few for gifts and then just keep one.
  7. This Reports by citizens (not officials) are notoriously suspect, from what I've read. People call all kinds of dogs "Pit Bulls". This is why I basically don't pay attention to exact breeds when it comes to attacks, and just think people shouldn't own dogs they are not able to handle. The more destructive the dog can be, the more responsibility the owner needs to assume.
  8. IMO you should never get a dog you aren't competent enough to properly train and control. I grew up with the nastiest chihuahua, Manchester terrier mix. Most vicious dog I've ever known. Would attack a German Shepard or pit bull in a heart beat. As Hapless noted they do not seem to care about size. IMO my parents were not qualified to own this dog, as they never did the proper training for him. It bit people all the time. But in truth, when that dog bit someone, there was no major damage. Still pretty screwed up, IMO. It gets more difficult when you get bigger, more dangerous dogs. By more dangerous, I mean much more destructive should they attack and bite. I understand people want to rescue these dogs, as many are abused. But please, don't do it unless you are really prepared for work. These dogs really do need attention and exercise. And you should understand when others are wary of your dog. So try to be considerate and give people some space. Now I'm an idiot. I'll approach almost any dog (very carefully and respectfully most of the time). I've always seemed to have good luck with dogs and animals in general. But I guess I've been lucky as I have rarely been bitten. But when I adopt my next dog, I plan to get a nice, docile, well trained older dog. I know my limits for attention and training. 😄
  9. I chose Other only because without $$$ attached to each, it is very hard to say. I'd take any of them back at the mythic "right price". Nobody on the list I wouldn't welcome into camp to fight for a roster spot.
  10. Not semantics at all. I think we have a failure to communicate here. The defense allowed two TDs. It isn't as if they were a sieve against the run. It isn't as if they were completely ineffective. This defense is built to be well-rounded but primarily be able to stop the passing game. Bend, don't break. There are fewer and fewer teams who live by the run these days. Every D has things it does better than others. This past year the Pats* were built for the run/short pass game. Take a bigger picture look. I'd give the Defense a C for the game. I wouldn't argue if you gave them a C- or even a B-. Wanna give them a D, I think you are nuts but OK. The Offense lost that game. They get an F. Not semantics at all. I think we have a failure to communicate here. The defense allowed two TDs. It isn't as if they were a sieve against the run. 11. OK. Fair enough. Still, only allowing 14 points is a decent statistical defensive effort. And the offense simply cannot escape the biggest part of the blame, IMO. But the statement I responding to was "The Patriots signalled [sic] run all day and we never could stop them." NEVER stop them? That is untrue. Which was my point.
  12. The reports about Tony being traded have started to change. Now it seems, the Giants aren't shopping Toney at all. Just "listening". And now he is back at the Giants' facility. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/04/25/report-giants-more-listening-than-shopping-kadarius-toney/ https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/04/25/reports-kadarius-toney-at-giants-facility-monday/ So is Toney is going to get traded for just a low draft pick or cut? If he's not that big of a jerk and is willing to work with the new leadership, then I think he'll stay with the Giants.
  13. Well, the Pats* scored only 14 points over 60 minutes. I'd say the Bills stopped them quite a few times. I'll take the D giving up 14 points most any time. That game was a failure of the offense, IMO.
  14. I gotta give it up for Wallace. He really did perform well above the expectations of most. There was a lot of consternation (some warranted and much exaggerated) about how bad it would be if the Bills didn't replace him. He delivered at a level higher than his talent, IMO. I'd have been happy if they re-signed him (which takes us to the magical phrase)--for the right price. Yes, the defensive scheme makes it a bit easier on CB2 in this D. But c'mon. Some here still won't give the guy his due. Now that Wallace is gone it's time. Maybe, Dane (or Lewis) will step up the way Wallace did, but I don't think they will just assume that. So, like I said, I think even if Tre was ready to go, CB2 is a bigger need than it has been. Add Tre's injury it's at an entirely different level. I'm not chicken little, like some here. Tre may be back, and close to 100%, for most/all of the season. Or he could miss some of the season and/or be somewhat less this season. We just can't know. I think Tre's injury made CB a priority for McBeane. I'd hope Wallace's departure reinforced the importance of addressing it. That doesn't mean they have to make obviously flamboyant/desperate moves to prove it's an issue. My guess is it will be handled in Beane's typical way.
  15. IMO, even if Tre never had the injury/surgery and was ready to go, I'd still say CB is the team's biggest immediate need. I'd still want them to pick up a vet and draft a good prospect. Not a knock on Dane or Lewis. But the DB room needs to add talent.
  16. Bingo! I also cannot believe those giving him a complete pass because "Judge is a jerk". Ever work for a real idiot? Did you publicly complain and act like an ass? Plus, Judge is GONE. This is his chance for a new beginning with a completely new GM and HC. Too many red flags for me.
  17. Completely agree. That's not to say the Bills must draft a CB in the first round. But I do expect Beane to sign (FA or trade) and draft one in the first two days Do you have specific information you're not sharing?
  18. I never could understand why some posters think their personal mock draft or thoughts on the draft warranted a separate thread. But yours definitely qualifies, IMO. A fantastic overview, Gunner. Thanks. Can't wait to see your final mock
  19. As long as they don't bring back Joe Tessitore for play-by-play, I'm fine. Tirico is terrific, IMO.
  20. Which is much more important, and on topic, than our meat squabble. 😆 It's very impressive. Yes, the clips we see are curated, and there is a bit of an image marketing machine at work here. (I mean, let's be honest.) But the team vibe simply seems too genuine and real to be entirely a media creation. I'm sure they have their issues, but it's so good to really like a good team, or seemingly good people, who really like playing with each other.
  21. I disagree. But then again, I care more about pork than beef. I suspect you are the opposite. I live in Florida and I'd say I've been to one, maybe two, places that actually make great pork ribs. Most pork is average. Great pork is exquisite.
