  1. Loved it! Some one find Bill and tell him his Stadium Wall account has been hacked!!
  2. From what I heard, Beane didn't suggest he "knew" anything, but was concerned a team might grab him before he dropped. So maybe the teams next in line or maybe a draft down. He didn't think it was worth the risk to wait. One can question if he was correct, of course. But nobody knows because it didn't happen.
  3. The Bills surely had MORE than 4 CBs on their board. I'm sure their board has CBs ranked by round throughout the draft. They may have had 4 CBs they liked "best" maybe fewer, maybe more. But being "on the board" doesn't mean those CBs were equal and interchangeable. I'm sure they considered the drop (according to their rankings) or why else move down? Beane came out and admitted that was his last player with a 1st round pick. So BPA also. What evidence do you have to suggest something different? Some here seem to think Beane made the trade just to trade. That seems preposterous.
  4. Apparently some have learned NOTHING reading the preposterous guarantees some made after the Bills drafted Josh. They just keep making terrible calls, and backing it up with everything they have. Here's a good rule of thumb, IMO: If you really don't know anything, say nothing If you know a little, say nothing (you know less than you think) If you are fairly well informed, say a little (you know less than you think) If you are positive, say your opinion but make sure you understand you don't know as much as you think The prediction that Strong would be the 1st QB off the board and definately taken in the top 20 were ridiculous on it's face. The statement that most teams have Strong rated as their #1 QB is something you couldn't possibly know, Saying Strong is "factually" the #1 QB in the class doesn't even pass any sensible discussion of a football player, IMO. What facts are important? Which are not? If you could factually prove one guy is the best, the draft would be much more predictable, no?
  5. Fair enough I guess. I think the Bills make take another DB in this draft as well. Still not sure I'm buying Emerson in the 2nd round. Thinking better DBs will be available there. But who knows? Maybe Emerson in the 3rd or 4th if still around.
  6. Teams assign grades on what round they think the player is worth. Some teams reported only having 15 players with first round grades this year. I can't remember the Bills #, but I think it was 18 or so. That's just saying there are only that many players truly worthy of a 1st round commitment.
  7. I see no softness. Some bad technique though
  8. Honestly I won't be at all surprised if they sign a vet CB and/or double down in the draft for a DB (versatile safety perhaps).
  9. Humility is best expressed, and not assumed. IMO, of course. And you really don't need to keep your peeves as pets.
  10. I could say that about any trade/different pick in ANY draft. This isn't about who we think is "more likely" to be a star. It's about what the Bills FO thinks. And if they think Elam is worth giving up a 4th for, then who am I to argue? Then I become a second guesser now and/or Captain Hindsight. From what I hear the Bills loved him and he was really their only Rd 1 graded player left. If they think that highly of him I'm sold.
  11. I question the move down for a 4th. But why do you say he "threw it away? You KNOW 100% there is no team that was looking to draft ahead of the Bills with CB needs? I'm guessing if teams were making calls, Beane knew it. So instead of saying "he threw it away", you might instead say "he used it to procure the one guy left on whom they had a first round grade". It may not have been necessary, but you can't know that.
  12. I believe they wanted Elam and liked Booth. The only thing I question is trading a 4th to move down two spots. But I imaging Beane can get a pick back later in the draft by trading down.
  13. I'm hearing they were quite high on him.
  14. I'm quite confident letting McBeane decide if they have a choice.
  15. I'd be find with Booth or Gordon. Though maybe trade down a bit for Gordon, if they can make a good deal.
  16. Draft Diamonds makes another mistaken pick. They posted NE's pick, but it was traded. I won't mention who they picked.
  17. This is the way I see it. So far, anyway
  18. It's not Twitter, it's the people posting to Twitter.
  19. Draft Diamonds is posting almost two picks ahead. The NFL it NOT going to be happy about that.
  20. So far I think the draft is shaping up nicely for the Bills. But it's still a bit too early to tell. They were never in the serious market for any of the players taken so far
