In-Depth Breakdown of Lamar Jackson by Eliot Crist
ALF replied to DCOrange's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would be ok with Lamar at #12 if the Bills can't trade up further. If only this mock were right https://www.drafttek.com/2018-NFL-Draft-Prospect-Rankings/Top-QBs.asp -
Zay Jones 4.45 sec will have a come back season after injury , I hope "Here’s a guy that’s going into surgery on Tuesday to get his shoulder repaired and people hardly knew that he played the entire season with, you know, a torn labrum,” Robert Jones told the Bills Wire podcast. “So how would you like sitting around and you’re going to grab a glass of water and your arm falls out of its socket?” Jan 16, 2018 The rookie played in 15 games during the season, never missing time for a shoulder injury. His father says the team didn’t find out about the injury until the end-of-year MRI, which is why he wasn’t listed on the injury report and didn’t receive treatment for the problem. https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2018/1/16/16895930/buffalo-bills-rookie-receiver-zay-jones-shoulder-injury-2017

To move up to #2 might offer #12 , #22 , 2019 #1 and a player if necessary. Maybe 2019 , 2nd rd also The Bills need the remainder of 2018 picks for needed players now. With all the cap space in 2019 from dead cap leaving , will have plenty of cap space for free agency to cover loss of 2019 #1. Giants will have big time offers after Jets moved to #3. This could be the most important draft ever.

The Bills aren't showing they're desperate for a QB

Would #12 , #22 and Shady be enough to move up to #2 ? After the Jets move other QB needy teams will be making offers -
“We had some inconsistency at right tackle, obviously,” Gruden said. “Newhouse, he had some moments where he played well. He had some moments where he obviously struggled.” According to Pro Football Focus, Newhouse allowed 38 quarterback pressures last season, 13 more than left tackle Donald Penn, 16 more than right guard Gabe Jackson, 21 more than left guard Kelechi Osemele and 35 more than center Rodney Hudson. https://www.mercurynews.com/2018/03/12/raiders-cut-starting-right-tackle-marshall-newhouse/

If the Giants want to rebuild around Eli they will move down to the highest bidder. The Bills at 12 and 22 have to be looking good for them. I would think 3 QBs go then the Browns trade down from #4 and get a LT to replace Joe Thomas and more. Barkley would be nice at 4 but they have more needs to rebuild . So the Bills might have a chance at #2 and #4 -

Philip Rivers might disagree . Still the Bills have to try for the best QB within reason in this draft. -

With this draft class I just hope a viable QB is there at #12 if the cost to trade further up is too much. -
Why not give McCarron an honest chance?
ALF replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If McCarron becomes a solid starter he would be like a winning lottery ticket. Hope he can at the least be the long term reliable backup when the QB the Bills draft is ready to play. If the drafted QB and McCarron both turn out to be good starters , one would have good trade value in the future. -
I'm getting good at making mistakes lately
-
Maybe they have Groy penciled in as a future replacement for Richie at RG. He was a good replacement for Wood for what little I know.
-
Foles will likely be available later in the season after Wentz is 100%. By then we will have an idea if McCarron is a ok bridge and if the QB the Bills draft has enough potential.

Beane & Co. too Conservative in their Trade Offers? (Opinion)
ALF replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I sure hope hope Allen goes #3 and the Bills had a chance at Mayfield. -

If the Browns take a QB at #1 they can parlay #4 for more picks. I would think the Giants take a QB or Barkley at #2 . I would think the Bills make a deal with the Browns if the QB they want is still there after the first 3 picks are made. Last resort take a QB at #12 or 2nd rd and build around McCarron . Making the playoffs has draft consequences. -
If Rosen , Darnold and Mayfield are gone when the Bills draft, hope McCarron can be a viable starter till Allen takes 2 years to develop. The other option is Lamar or Rudolph. White in rd 2 another option. All depends if a trade with Giants , or Indy is possible. The Bills have to find the best QB coach like a Pat Shurmur.

Vikings need insurance policy for injury with so much guaranteed. -
That sure is a complex contract
-
Browns need a LT to replace Joe Thomas , QB at #1 , trade down from #4 to best LT
-
Who would you rather have: Luck or Foles?
ALF replied to IgotBILLStopay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Foles -
Veteran QB: It all comes down to FOLES / MCCARRON!

At least McCarron is in one piece healthy, one year prove it deal if he is confident. -
Bills reportedly have interest in Vikings FA DT Tom Johnson
ALF replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Will be 34 at 288lbs , just draft a DT low or UDFA. I prefer someone heavier then A. Washington .
