it’s a rules error by the refs. One of many. tefs sre @#$&ing idiots. By rule the clock stops Thrn restarts but done from the end of prior play, not resetting a play clock.

The only similarity was that team played well against them as a motivation. these games this season came down to a few plays in their losses. Small adjustments would have changed results. PIT 4Q block punt TD. TEN went for it on 4 th doen instead of tying game with FG JAX penalties and play calls killed them pushing them out of FG range IND. The kick off fumble TD killed the game NE. The wind , some play calls and non PI calls. Had bass made that FG they probably win game with a second FG. buffalowin out they win division still….

Miami had a difficult start of season and end oftheseason with an Oreo middle of the season. Jags, Falcons, and Raiders were last second losses. Had the won jags and falcons they would be 8-5. if NE lose 2 of 3 to buffalo and Indy and Miami wins out turns week18 into a winner gets 2nd place and possibly a WC spot. it’s my early favorite fir week 18 nbc game

if they are allowed Togo down the field says it’s a run play Or a screen. doing something different can confuse the defense and being down the field engaging blocks would be PI unless it’s a designed run or screen. on the attempted fake punt by New Orleans he wanted PI but the rules on a gunner allow physical contact down the field. Otherwise teams will game this just to draw PI penalties. this is the same with a screen player or a pulling guard run. It can be manipulated in ways to get completed passes by allowing them to block/ pick DBs

Yes and NO… in general for pass plays the lineman needs to be within the 1 yr boundary unless he is still engaged with a pass rusher. If it’s a design screen play linemen are allowed to go down field and exceed the 1 yr before the ball is thrown. If the ball is thrown to an area where the downfield lineman are not then a penalty is called. This also can happen on a Allen rollout run/ pass option play. The lineman gets too far downfield thinking he’s running but then passes and penalty gets called.

they were down 27 and missed to FGs by mid 3Q…the team pretty much quit playing. Had McKenzie not fumbled and they got a FG….2nd half kickoff they could have tied or just got a FG making it 17-13 or tied at 17 and the game is different.
