If the titans lose all 3 then ravens and chargers would have to go 5-0 rest of season for that to happen. Better to hope for a titans loss whenever we get the chance. Odds are those two teams drop 1 of those 5 games. Cool fact is if they win 4 out of 5 and the titans lose out, then buffalo could get the 5th seed Wacky scenarios. Gotta get it done with Miami and put up a fight in NE
-
That's quite silly. The path is definitely more reliant on other teams losing and winning in a more precise way if the chargers had won.
-
Yeah I posted then realized that would be pointed out and edited it. They better beat the browns or else their schedule isn't so "easy" then haha.

One Baltimore loss to Colts or Bengals means we are in or 2 titans losses. We hold most 3 tiebreaker scenarios except against chiefs which doesn't matter now.
-
That's why the call was so dumb. When you punt, you forego a chance to keep the ball in order to have your defense make a stand. Cool, I get it. But if you don't make the 4th and 1, your defense still has an opportunity to make a stand. They were on the 41 yard line and the conditions were awful for moving the ball. Its just silly to not even try.

Chargers winning AFC West may actually keep us out of the playoffs. Let's say Bills going 9-7 are a constant. (I know, I know, we never win the last few games we need to, but bear with me) There are 4 teams we can realistically catch for a wildcard. Titans 8-5 Ravens 7-6 Chiefs 7-6 Chargers 7-6 Odds are that 3 of those 4 teams make it to 9-7. Just given how schedules look. Let's ignore the Ravens for now because they have a cake schedule. If the Titans lose 2, we get in at 9-7 so long as Chiefs beat the Chargers. This is because we are favored in the 3 way tie breaker scenario (H2H against Chargers does not come into play.) However if the Titans lose 2, and the Chargers beat the Chiefs, then we lose the wildcard berth This is because KC is favored in the 3 way tie breaker scenario (H2H against Chiefs does not come into play.) So Chiefs beating the Chargers would mean it doesn't matter if the Chargers win their remaining two so long as the Titans or Ravens are tied with us as well. The Chargers beating the Chiefs would mean that we would need the Titans or Ravens to both be at less than 9-7 (or Chiefs to lose 2 of next 3) in order to not lose the 3 way tie to the Chiefs.

I'd bet its better Miami wins as well although I think neither team is making the playoffs, and we aren't if we don't beat Miami which would end them so... The higher (later) the draft pick for the Jets and Dolphins the better.

Can't wait to hear your indepth analysis of our rookie after their 1st game next year.

Who starts next week: Taylor or Peterman?
What a Tuel replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I will say Peterman is starting this week. The coaching staff is trying out their options before we go into next year and cut Tyrod loose. Need to know if Peterman is adequate to keep on the roster. -
Tyrod is not performing in the top 5 of all NFL QB's. This is the same twisting of stats that I myself even fell into when Manuel was playing. Tyrod isn't good enough, and he is only good enough when our defense is hugely dominant. If they aren't then say goodbye to the game cause Tyrod ain't saving us.

What's your reaction if Peterman is terrible this Sunday
What a Tuel replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love Sammy and Woods, but Tyrod didn't throw 300 even with them. Not that that matters at all. Tyrod isn't coming back next year, why is it ridiculous to try out additional QBs? -

My reaction is give him the rest of the season. No way do we go forward with Tyrod next year, why not try out who will be here? He gets the ball out quick. Its refreshing watching him throw. -
9 wins will get Bills to playoffs if....
What a Tuel replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Call me naïve, but I am optimistic for our chances. However wouldn't it be funny if we beat the difficult teams (Chiefs, Patriots 2x, Saints), and lost to the bad teams the other 4, and didn't get in? That would be the most Billsy way to miss the playoffs. I mean at the beginning of the season would you see us: Beating: Broncos Falcons Buccanears Raiders Saints Patriots Chiefs And losing to: Jets Dolphins Colts Bengals Panthers Chargers Which brings me to my final point. Last years schedule is meaningless, so don't bother whining in April about how we have a tough one. -
Its almost as if humor is subjective and some people find things humorous and some don't.

Patriots trade Jimmy Garoppolo to SF
What a Tuel replied to HumbleAndHungry's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One 1st was for giving up a first not a player. One 2nd was for giving up a player we drafted with 2 1sts. One 3rd was for giving up a guy we drafted in the 2nd round. Its ok guys, the front office can botch one. They aren't getting top optimal value for every single trade, and its ok to call them out on one occasionally. I am not unhappy with the trades, I thought Watkins was a mistake, but replacing him with Benjamin fixes that. Dareus we could have done better on. I don't see the point either. Garoppolo has two games under his belt. Why people think he even deserves a deal, and doesn't need to prove it is beyond me. I surely hope they start him the rest of the year to see what he is actually capable of. That's going to be costly to their draft position if he is the former patriot wonder boy though. -
Patriots trade Jimmy Garoppolo to SF
What a Tuel replied to HumbleAndHungry's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why would Garapollo even deserve a long term contract? Because he was a Patriot that the Patriots wanted to get rid of when they have a 40 year old QB and no backup? Like come on, San Francisco, stupid trade all around. Now they are in the position of having to give a comparably large contract to a guy that has 2 career games under his belt. The fact that the Patriots are even willing to trade him should send red flags and warning signs all over the place. 49ers can get fleeced, but we got maximum value for Dareus lmao. -

That's fine. We will just sit here with our 6th round pick and think we sure are lucky someone was willing to give us that! -

how about DT to an OT? -

But no, the Bills can't get high picks for players. Meanwhile teams are throwing around 2nd round picks. -
Dareus traded to Jacksonville!
What a Tuel replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hate this argument. For one Beane said he was offered the trade, discussed it, and took it. But even if you don't believe him, this argument suggests that every trade that is ever made is at 100% optimal value, because a better trade didn't occur. That is just silly. -
Deshawn Watson is better then Tyrod. Yes I said it
What a Tuel replied to 17 Josh Allen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The number of QBs we passed on and subsequently freaked out about only for them to slip silently into obscurity is a large list.
