  1. if a woods falls in the woods does he make a sound?
  2. I'd say it's sammy. mccoy is getting guaranteed touches out of the backfield and as a safety valve when the coverage is tight. sammy had THREE catches yesterday and it was a TD and over 100yds receiving. could you imagine if he got as many touches at mccoy?
  3. Yes he should definitely try to suppress the adrenaline of making a huge play in front of 75,000 cheering fans and living out his dreams of playing on the greatest stage in sports. Totally. It's the same as filling out Excel sheets Monday through Friday. Just do your job. Right?
  4. the over the middle and the deep balls. i think when the all 22 film comes out you will see that bellichek made sure to play a two deep, take away as many deep balls as possible, and roll a safety over watkins. this is why you saw woods making intermediate catches, shady out of the backfield a lot, and hogan open. taylor was taking what they were giving him. we all want watkins to get the ball a lot, but it's not hard to shut down a single man on a football team. especially a WR. sure other WRs dominate under any condition, but those WRs aren't 6 1 and 200lbs. He's kind of small.
  5. just like every year, we will look back at a very winnable game that we lost and that will be the reason we're not in. 2015 edition: Jaguars. Last year: Raiders
  6. prior to this season he threw 35 passes. he's played 7 games. maybe give him some time vs ya know the 9-0 patriots at home on monday night football. tom brady didn't look any better.
  7. lets get the bad juju out of the way now: http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/0ap2000000093122/Ryan-Fitzpatrick-end-zone-interception http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-videos/09000d5d812a42f6/Bills-Defense-Highlight-WK-01-vs-Patriots-2009
  8. i'm not trying to crap on your idea but i honestly think bellicheat gets the HUGE HUGE benefit of teams playing stupid to out-think/over-think him. like play a straight forward game. we have a good d, we have talented players. play straight forward. like people always want to BEAT bellicheat and them have like some wrinkle to embarrass him too. some trick play to outmaster the master. believe me, beating him is enough of a statement. line up and play your game, don't do everything to adapt to their game. Imagine if you got to sit back and watch the other team take 140 yards in penalties while you just stood there. they got to do that in week 2. and all they had to do was show up.
  9. i agree. Taylor is actually somewhat of a nightmare matchup for the Pats. I think we tend to forget he had 3TDs and over 250 yds passing and a rushing TD in week 2. And, the only guy athletic enough to spy him, Collins, is out. So while i agree to extend the field, i also agree to just let Taylor be Taylor.
  10. Clay would be getting the ball a wholleeeeee lot more.
  11. Great kudos on ESPN for the duo: "It was a little disappointing to see from my study that they were playing as well as they were," Brady said. "But that's part of it. You're going to go against good players."

  13. if a 9-0 team with a HOF QB and coach shred our D? no, he keeps his job. In fact, I still subscribe to the idea of playing man to man, jamming them at the line and if we're beat we're beat. be ultra aggressive. i feel like teams game plan to be aggressive vs NE and get beat early and back off. don't back off. you have nothing to lose. jam, blitz, repeat. take a few illegal hands penalties. who cares. you're not supposed to win this game.
  14. I wanted to bump this because it' was so effective and has laid dormant for about two months. I think MNF would be the perfect time for the Pats to roll it out again. how would we even combat this? especially with no AW or KW.
  15. !@#$ bellicheat: "trying to feed him unsuccessfully twice in a row in Week 2 vs. Buffalo in the end zone" "The 43 snaps for Chandler against Buffalo easily marks a season high, as he is averaging 23.6 snaps per game in the team's 9-0 start." he tried to needle us and failed.
  16. so it's happening again this Monday...remain undefeated when playing simultaneously?
  17. I recall the Law Firm (Darby-Gilmore-McKelvin) hawking balls.
  18. it's always a bizarre game when we play them. i have the Pats winning a close game with Gostkowski going 6/6. Also, I can't stress enough how much of an unsung hero Gostkowski is. He is 21/21 FG 34/34 xp. including 4/4 at 50+ yds. even when you stop them short in your end, they're guaranteed 3.
  19. My favorite are the picks or fumble recoveries we have that always seem to have a penalty attached. I can't tell you how many times I've heard "during the return" by a ref.
  20. They're basically working off the same philosophy as the 2013(?) Seahawks who had DBs who were extremely aggressive with their hands. Sometimes they would get called on illegal hands/DPI/holding, but they knew the refs were not going to throw a flag every down.
  21. I usually wouldn't entertain something like this, but sadly you're right. There will be some horrendous calls. And that's crazy that we can sit here as fans on Wednesday and know that a pivotal call will be made against us at an inopportune time and that call with either be a. phantom b. marginal or c. being done by the Pats as well and not called on them or d. a non-call on the Pats that is blatant. It's really demoralizing.
  22. Hahaha, this is probably close.
  23. It's not many times that I can go back and look at a box score and think, how did we not lose by 30 and simulteanously thinking how did we not win? Also, in retrospect, it's clear the Bellicheat threw the house at the Bills. Bizarre box score: -Bills won time of possession -Bills threw 3INTs and were sacked EIGHT!!! times -Bills 140 yards in penalties -Pats had two fumbles lost -Brady throws 59 times -Six different Pats have rushing attempts/Nine different Pats caught a pass -Only 1 punt for the Pats -Pats were 30% on 3rd downs -Bills missed an XP and TWO 2pt conversion -Maybe the winner: Brady had 3 rushes for -4 yards and his long was -1. See any others?
