  1. I really appreciate the sincere responses. If true as everyone is innocent until proven guilty, the player might be ok ok with a sincere apology. I would as long as I feel confident it won’t happen again. Not people on this board, but the macho attitude you can’t be approached inappropriately if you’re a man is wrong. He wasn’t wrong, but I can tell you with my wife, I wouldn’t tolerate it. I wouldn’t hurt her at all, but I would grab her hand and say ENOUGH. Leave me alone. Again, he didn’t do anything wrong, and maybe she was messed up. Not an excuse, but just stop it. That girls hand would hurt if it was me, if the attendants did nothing, ok. Just send a message, you won’t abuse me. The crappy thing is how many women don’t or can’t have that ability. Thanks to my friends her who didn’t make this something silly. For my Cowboys Girl, I’m sorry you had to deal with that terrible behavior. I believe 99.9% of guys on this board would be on the other side seeing it, and saying, leave her alone or you deal with me. Not a breaking law guy, but in this case, I wouldn’t have a problem defending a woman no matter the consequence, God bless guys and won’t reply again.
  2. This isn’t a joke, and if there were no other seats, he would be stuck there since you can’t walk around on a flight other than use the facilities. United isn’t responsible for her bad behavior, but if the attendants didn’t make efforts to stop it by switching seats for him or at least giving a warning to the women, then they are responsible. I have too many women that are my friends and unfortunately family who have suffered from the same type of acts. I sincerely hope this doesn’t turn into a joke thread, because there is nothing funny about it.
  3. Excellent point. Epenesa didn’t do anything wrong. Without looking up, how many posters could name off all 32 coordinators on offense and defense? Again, no googling. The video was pretty funny though.
  4. If people want to throw away $, that is their call. I take vitamins as well, but I don’t for a minute think I’m so protected from corona. If people believe that, shame on the, for their stupidity. Being healthy against corona or anything else is good, but doesn’t mean you can’t contract it. As Ron White from the Blue Collar Comedy tour said, “You Can’t Fix Stupid”. Love that comic. Not that I’m a drinker or smoker, but he is so funny with his wiseass attitude drinking scotch, and smoking a cigar on stage.
  5. I did Shady you wisenhimer, Singletary more carries, Moss, more TD’s. I know you’re kidding as I believe I know you’re sense of humor now. Funny.
  6. Tons of corporate America mandates diversity interviewing. I have said before in the medical device sales industry, which is cut throat mandates we interview diversity candidates. I’m fine with it as long as they are sharp. It’s a valuable use of my time. I’ve never been forced to hire a diversity candidate if not better than another candidate. That includes women. I’ve had someone write to me women are not a minority, but what they didn’t know is in this industry if they are in the minority in the role, they are a minority. It’s just a fact if you have 8% women in these roles, they are a minority. mandating increased interviewing, but not mandating hiring is fine with me. What I liked the most is extending to coordinators, or whatever if they did as well positions in the management development role makes a lot of sense. Again, interviewing, not hiring is reasonable.
  7. I’ve read a lot of conjecture, but the simpl3st is we trade up and if the Jets take Darnold, we take Mayfield, or the reverse. In my opinion, Mayfield is in a dysfunctional system which can contribute to him spouting off. I don’t see him doing that under McDermott. Darnold looks like he has not performed as well as Allen, but we have a top 3 defense and overhauled our offense. Again, better coaching and culture would have helped Darnold play better. Including Allen, any one these three QB’s would have a good chance for success at least in 19 and beyond.
  8. Moulds vs. Reed is like “what if Tyson fought Ali?” They we’re both great.
  9. Davis is a stud. I understand people don’t know him, but living in FL I watched most of his UCF games. He runs routes so well. He will be a good fourth WR.
  10. I’m sorry for his family he’s gone. I’m very fortunate I’m the youngest of four, and my parents had me when they were much older, but my dad (huge Bills fan) is 89. It was funny on NFLR they played the greatest NFL game if all time stated by many, the Giants and Colts. He recited to me half the game. It was the first time I listened to the play by play. Its sad when we lose these old timers. My wrestling coach was Al Bemiller, from the 60’s and what a great guy.
  11. Taking Big Ben lightly is a mistake. He’s always been stout to be polite, but he still can hang in the pocket and make the tough throws, when others would go down. They were 5th in defense and 28th in offense. With Ben back, that offense will improve. We’ll see. A lot of pride on this board and that is fine. How about we win a bunch before as Parcells said, we crown them. My phrase as I’ve said before is cautiously optimistic.
  12. MJS, I’m with you in that there is a lot of hype we win the AFC, the SB, etc., and we haven’t beaten a playoff team since 1995. Winning the AFCE is realistic to hope for as a goal, and winning a game in the playoffs. I don’t know why people think we’ll win against the Chiefs or Ravens yet. It doesn’t mean we won’t beat them, but how can anyone be that self assured. If halfway through the season we beat KC on TR night, ok, then we can get a little excited.
  13. This is more impressive because of Thielen on the field.
  14. Everything will be fine. As I said in the other thread, it’s not that he doesn’t want to be here is my speculation, and the $ is set, it has to be off setting language just like with Bosa. He and motor will be a fun tandem.
  15. I’m sure you’re kidding, but Montgomery is in AL unless there are two Montgomery counties. As far as him, he’s a moron. He has that kind of $ and can’t use Uber.
  16. TD- It’s funny you bring this up as it reminded me of a conversation this week on Movin The Cains (NFLR). Kirwan stated we’ll see now that players have an opportunity to get together in AZ or FL and shows initiative. He went as far to say not just the QB’s and WRs, but also Lineman and all of the other units. I liked how he basically challenged leaders on the teams stating we’ll see who steps up as the coaches aren’t allowed to say anything. I loved it and there are remote areas in FL like Ormond Beach away from the larger cities where there are large fields. I hope Edmunds, Hyde, Hughes, Dawkins, and others were listening. The other thing is Gyms are opening at 50% occupancy tomorrow so they can workout as well as work on their playbook. Those who are the most prepared will come out of the gates fast this year.
  17. A little before my time, but read she was fantastic and paved the way for women as sportscasters.
  18. Thanks TD. At least it’s a first step. We’ll be lucky to have training camp in July. I agree it is a gues we might have a season, but can’t believe we’ll have fans, even at 25%.
  19. Mods, can you merge these two threads. I’m sure it was an honest mistake by the OP.
  20. I liked Bennett As a player, but don’t think he should be on the wall, but then I don’t like we have 31 names up there. It should be incredibly special. I know I’ll get roasted for this opinion, but I think people on the wall should be borderline HOF.
  21. Every person I know who has visited Lucas Oil, loved it. It was cost efficient comparatively speaking, and had all the amenities people love.
  22. All kidding aside, this is a stupid rule proposal. In management, my VP used to tell us to use diversity recruiters and prove we have made every effort to seek out diverse candidates. In my industry (medical device sales) women are also considered diversity candidates as the overwhelming majority of sales reps are Caucasian males. With that said, Greg always told us as long as we made all efforts to seek out diverse candidates, we should always hire the best person. When in you’re in a cut throat sales industry, not having the right person equates to suffering sales not unlike professional sports. I agree with the Rooney rule as it stands now and it’s intent was sound.
  23. LA, exactly. The good news is next year’s draft class is rich in TE’s, although we’ll have to draft replacements for the guys getting older. I won’t bring up the draft again until next year’s off season.
  24. Singletary will get more carries, but Moss will have more TD’s as it just makes sense.
  25. My kids even older love the Princess Bride. I can recite about half the movie I’ve seen it with them so many times. Thanks for the laugh.
