I expected this to happen anyway, so it is yet to be seen if the players refuse to play the preseason games. If they do, we’ll see how the NFL responds. I just hope we have a regular season. There is a lot of talk across college campuses the virtual learning may continue this fall. If so, the NFL could negotiate with the networks to expand their NFL coverage to have a Saturday, 1, 4, and 8pm Saturday games. Why, so the NFL can recuperate some of the lost $ by no fans as that is highly likely to happen with increased television revenue. It seems like almost over saturation which is why I typically don’t watch college and pro football every week as it basically puts you in front of the tv all weekend, but I understand it. Besides, the players should be all over it as they will know any additional $ means a better cap situation in 2021. They want to protect their contracts, and the ones knowing they are looking for extensions would definitely want it. Just a theory, and probably wrong, but it is possible. You could be right, but those owners are not going to want to lose $10 bil., so unless State Governors close their states from sports, that would be the only thing stopping them. Even then, an owner could send his team to practice and play in another state.

Since this another thread about Allen bashing, I’ll just repeat Chris Mortensen’s comments the Allen bashing has become comical. These talking heads basically already have made up their minds and they cherry pick information to suit their preconceived ideas. Allen has improved from year 1 to 2, and he should improve even more in year 3. Now that he has Diggs, and Moss added to the existing tools, he probably will hit that 65% completion rate. There is some truth to earlier posts that Allen May have been overly coached to be safe, and thus a likely reason why he was axing a little like Taylor who won’t throw to a guy unless he is absolutely open, thus overthrowing to make sure he’s not picked off.

David Njoku requests trade - any interest?
machine gun kelly replied to Doc Brown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Knox is the best TE ever? I like the guy and think he can grow to maybe what you say, but that is a reach. Maybe,Imean that in a nice way, not disparaging Metzelaars. I met him when I was. Little boy that tower of a man, and he not only was a great pass catcher, but could block Sowell before this generation of TE’s. He was a stud back then and as humble as could be. im really hoping Knox, I really am he is the next gen. But he hasn’t proven it yet to be a The next Kittle. Let him prove it this year and I think you’re right he could do it. Then we can anoint him. I’m all for it. -
IB, I’m sure you’re just kidding, but people mostly have a tendency to just be a little nicer to each other as we get closer to Christmas. Considering 93% of the US consider themselves Christians, I would say that is the majority even if not everyone. I’m not turning this into a religious thing, just the point is be nice to each other. If you feel it necessary to be petty, you knew what I was saying, so we’ll agree to disagree. I will not reply again so say whatever you want.

Redskins facing severe pressure to change name.
machine gun kelly replied to Walking Tall's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I have no problem Universities and State and local Govt’s taking down confederate images as it should have happened a long time ago. What shocks me is for awhile I lived in an Eastern suburb of Tampa, called Brandon who don’t know FL that well. There is some private citizen as you exit I-4 to start south on I-75, the largest confederate flag I’ve ever seen and it’s repulsive. It’s not far from the Floridians on the board by the State Fairgrounds. I just can’t believe there is not some ordinance the city council etc. to force them to take it down. It is on a flag pole hundreds of feet high, and larger than any of the American flags in the area. Makes me sick and yes, I’m Caucasian. It is just as offensive to me as people of color. All colors. Anyone with any decency should be just as repulsed by not thinking All Lives Matter! -
Thurmon, I know you were just being sarcastic, and funny as Movin the Chains just mentioned I think two days ago, they compared all of the HOF players who became coaches and their winning record was I think 48-49%. including guys like Singletary, Flores, Dinka, and so on. It was in Reference to Ron Woodson feeling put off he’s not getting stronger consideration for a head coaching position. It’s true most of the best coaches we have seen were not superstar NFL players.

Zack Moss - Business Decisions
machine gun kelly replied to JGMcD2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t see Christian making it to the active roster, but maybe they place him on the practice squad again. He may know enough about the NFL after one more year learning. If he doesn’t make the active squad by 2021, they’ll release him. He’s not that young anymore at least by next year, but worth an insurance policy with the pandemic. They probably will increase that practice squad numbers. They are cheaper than increasing the active roster, and teams need bodies due to unexpected outbreaks. when NFLR was breaking down the different divisions RB crew, they were interesting inferring coaches have a tendency to repeat previous numbers for squads. Well, they think McD will keep DiMarco again, and the other three listed maintains the same 4 person Rb group from last year, just an upgrade from Gore to Moss. Gore is a great guy and been warrior, but he’s worn out. God I can’t wait for that first hit from Moss on some D Back, or even LB. my expectations he is going to hammer some people this year. -
Redskins facing severe pressure to change name.
machine gun kelly replied to Walking Tall's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Ace man, I was thinking the same thing. I’m sure most don’t even know how name came to existence. It was the original Buffalo Bills of the 1940’s, and it was a naming contest. Ralph being a student of history wanted to keep it the same when he became part of the foolish 8. For the younger folks or casual fans, the 1940’s Bills was not part of the NFL (it was from 1946-49 in the All-America Football Conference) and George Halas blocked the team from rolling into the NFL as he thought from what I’ve read not a financially viable team. He did though support the Browns, 49ers, And Baltimore Colts. In 46, they were called the Buffalo Bisons, and before this league in 1940 they had another professional league, Buffalo’s team was called, get ready was the Buffalo Tigers/Indians. The league folded with WW2. What was interesting is back then the steel and other production plants were at their peak and Buffalo was a thriving blue collar town. It is too bad as it would have been nice to have an NFL team since WW2 Like the other 3 in 1950. Anyway, the Indians thing was not an issue back then and personally I understand there are segments of society who are offended by the name Redskins. I’ve listened to American Indian chiefs like the Seminole Indians in North Florida who some say they want the name as it still means native Americans are relevant in this country. Then for every group and persons who like the significance, there are just as many people who hate the name. Bottom line is if Snyder hasn’t buckled at this point, the likelihood he will is low. It doesn’t mean he’s right, just Id be surprised he changes the name. This topic will come up for awhile, die down, and then then prop up again in a year or two. -
You guys have been funny. I could care less if it is healing to some and wonder if the networks will play it as several don’t even show the National Anthem, you know the one all 350 million people should put their hand over their heart. As I’ve said before, I don’t care if people kneel, and don’t care if they play beforehand. If that helps those who want it, no problem with me. what’s more important to me is just doing the right thing when no one is looking, meaning all of us respect each other. I won’t ever kneel for the anthem and yes, my hand is always over my heart, but if you choose not to do so, god bless and you have every right to express you’re opinion. I hate the very legitimate claims of unnecessary violence or just even prejudice by any group, and any peaceful, lawful demonstration is fine with me. Just not a fan of looting and saying it’s a protest when innocent people are hurt physically or economically (by the way a lot of African AmericanS lawful sort owners who didn’t deserve these losses) Just treat everyone fairly, and be nice. As I said weeks ago, treat everyone like it’s Christmas. Did you ever notice how most are just a little nicer during this time of year? That’s all, just be nice to each other. Give people a chance and not prejudge people. This does not require an asto-physicist degree. It’s just common sense. I promise as I’ve always done to do my part. Just be nice. If people need to heal by listening to another song, no worries. Play it every game, and television shows, play it if it helps.

Nailed it Hondo. I was thinking the same thing. It’s almost not on his own like Tyrod, but so concerned not having a pick, they probably rattled him, and then he tries to play hero ball in other ways. If the coaches believe in him, then let him do his thing and reassure him not to worry about it, and let his talent do their thing. A lot of what I saw last year was the former, and relying on him and the RB’s including McKenzie (I know he’s a WR, but he ran some end around gadget runs kind of like JB) to win games, and thus 19 pts. Per game, vs. taking some chances. If he was set loose throwing for 3300 yards maybe with an extra pick or two, but also a strong running game (a business decision - sorry I love that in Moss) will result in a very good offense. Maybe not the best, but a top 3-5 defense, and let’s say top 13-14 offense. That’s not inconceivable at all.

yeah, what MJS said. Just kidding, but you’re right on point. All of these analysts and critics don’t even watch most of our games. They will have to this year. It’s one of the reasons I refuse to watch ESPN NFL anymore. These baffoons do not even speak accurately about Allen or our team. They finally have to no with the number of prime time and 4 pm games we have and the buzz on our team. Im not saying Allen is all world, but moreso the jury is out but promising. This year should help with all of this garbage. They just don’t have anything else to talk about with this pandemic and almost no sports.

Ok guys, ever here of Google. That took a total of 3 seconds. Jax, and yes to the wiseguy, they do celebrate Thanksgiving. I have a lot of friends and former employees who worked there. I know you were just kidding, but it’s actually a nice city, good cost of living, nice beach, and nicer people. Now the head coach, a fool. Maroon. Hope they never get a game.

NFL may have fans sign a waiver to attend games

Flash, like the reference and it was stupid not even B movie, but C movie, but still liked it when I was a kid. I think the actor was in one of the Ted movies (Sam something). Besides, it had to be the only Queen movie song I can remember. They may have been quirky, but they were good. -

I know. To their defense, you have to go through a fingerprint check and they do an extensive background check, but the good news is it lasts for five years. Even if people recreationally travel a couple of times a year, it is so worth it even if just to get in the short line. Made it very easy for me to get in an out of the airports. I am so spoiled now as each year when we were going to a family reunion and Bills game, my kids would force me to get in the regular line. I know I’m a brat. -

Jimmy pay the $85 and get the expedited line so you can leave you’re shoes and belt on, and leave you’re laptop in you’re briefcase. Changed my life when I did it as I travel almost every week for work. -

It’s funny you say that as I left the gym this morning, and all employees have to wear masks as it is FL, and in every other indoor place we finally have to wear masks. Now in our gym they require the six feet and because of the size don’t have to wear masks. Kind of dumb. I’ve said this before, but they threatened us to lose our membership if we don’t clean and post machine. I see everyday, almost always a young person completely disregarding these guidelines and shocker, people sweat a lot more ina gym than in a grocery store. My point is the govt. is trying to save us from ourselves as so many people are just blowing off things that keep us safe. If I knew everyone, and I mean everyone had to wear a mask and gloves and maintained six feet apart which is physically impossible in the ramps, bathrooms, concessions, I wouldn’t care if others wanted to go to the stadium. That still doesn’t protect everyone and this poster makes a good point, it’s not you waiving you’re ability to sue, it’s what you take home and infect others. Its crazy to put any large group together like a football stadium, even at 30% attendance or whatever. We are finally opening up movie theaters, but only at 30% at the end of the month strictly every other seat and every other row, no $, only debt or credit cards, and severe limitations on concessions. We have to watch a movie in a mask, and that seems like it could work to give people some outlet from their home. I would imagine it’s the same in Buffalo or other cities, but the seats for theaters are all recliners and farther away from each other and with every other seat and row, and I guess they are spacing out shows for additional cleaning time. I think AMC is just trying desperately not to file for bankruptcy as they are losing $ hand over fist. Guys, this new normal sucks, but it’s not just about yourself, but everyone else you can infect. That’s not conspiracy syndrome, it’s reality and just look to my state (FL) that opened too quickly and the skyrocketed cases especially 25-34 ages. As I’ve said before, no waiver trumps a State Governor. They will make the call no matter how much anyone complains. It may suck, but NYS has shown a rapid decline in cases as they were more strict than many states like mine. I was listening to Fauci this morning on NFLR, and he doesn’t even know, but speculates cases will rise in the fall. Working in medicine, I expected the heat would help, but it’s not. Most viruses die off that are airborne in heat, but not this one. I’m actually giving blood this week just to find out if I tested positive and have the antibodies, will give me peace of mind, not to mention, people need blood for those that are sick. I want to help those in need. -
PTR, I live in FL and you’re right. I get so annoyed with especially young people down here that are not respecting the social distancing protocols. I’m actually glad our Governor instituted masks mandatory in any building (except my gym as the space is so vast they don’t require it, only employees which doesn’t make sense to me), and irritated by some people just ignoring things that keep you protected. I know it’s a letdown not having fans in the stadiums, but it’s a way to stop this thing from spreading even worse. If they do open, people can do what they want, but I won’t be there if the tickets were given to me. I value my health too much. The sad thing is J&J and other companies are in phase 3 trials, but that will take another 8-10 weeks, then 6 weeks for submission to the FDA, then because it’s a PMA (new product filing) it will even with a rapid review take 6-9 months. Bottom line is even if they hit a solid vaccine, they won’t have it commercially available until 2021 Spring, and then any company would need to produce upwards of 350,000,000 doses which no matter how big the company will take a long time. Sadly, we’ll be lucky to have fans in the 2021 season. That’s depressing, and there will be some who do not inoculate for various reasons.

Cowherds top 10 AFC qb’s. Allen at #5.
machine gun kelly replied to Stank_Nasty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Guys (real Bills fans), I mentioned the other day a person going to another teams website with the posts he is constructing is simply to get a rise out of others. Not worth addressing his messages so if you want him to go away, just ignore these posts. Im happy Cowherd rated Allen and McD high, but somewhat surprising as he usually has some off the wall takes. I do appreciate the Op for posting the clip so thanks. -
GB, I’m normally with you, but I still see KC -1, Baltimore -2, us -3, Pittsburgh - 4. People have been guessing Cleveland to be a top team For two years and haven’t done it. I can see Indy winning their division, and Denver and NE possibly making the other two Wildcard teams now that their are 3 this year.

Who is the starting QB in NE and more poll
machine gun kelly replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Of his 9 years in the NFL (granted last year was only 2 games) he’s only been above 60% completion twice. The rest has been in the low to high 50% range. He’s really banged up, and I’m guessing someone will give him a hard tackle and he’ll be sidelined again. I don’t have anything against Cam, and never wish for a player to get injured, just that it is likely. He’s taken so many shots over the years. He’d have to change his style like a Brady and have an ultra quick release to avoid the hits. I just don’t see him making such a sweeping change. I hope I’m wrong and he makes it the whole season as long as we sweep them. Said the other day on NFLR, I’m betting we end up 5-1 in the division. The Jets and Dolphins are in a perpetual reload. A couple of years down the road, our rival will most likely be the Fins as Tuaif healthy is going to be tough.
