  1. Matter, thanks for sharing. I’m so happy Waller changed his life for the better. It is not an easy task to beat drug addictions, or any addiction for that matter.
  2. Everyone always likes to look at the good old days. If you want to go back before my days, there is always the ear slap by Deacon Jones that probably left guys with hearing problems, but hell it was before recorded sacks. They speculated on NFL films he had 36 sacks in one year. I’m guessing that was in a 12 or 14 game season. Bottom line to me is with the size and speed of these players, I’m happy they have changed the rules as I don’t want guys getting CTE, etc. It is a more complicated game now, and you can’t just decapitate a guy metaphorically. As much as we hated the loss Sunday, it was an exciting game, and remember when it was the Giants, 49ers, Cowgirls, Steelers, and so on. Now, you don’t know who is getting into the dance. Who thought the Seahawks, Eagles, Falcons a few years ago, can make it to the championship game. Free agency in the end was a good thing. Now it’s a matter of how well managed, scouted and coached a team can do and how they make decisions on who they keep, and who they let go. I’m happy with it.
  3. Shady, it is fun to see the Bills get this much pub. I know I’m in the minority, but I love 1 pm games on Sunday. Family and date time the weekend, church and the gym Sunday morning while the Pasta sauce is cooking. Enjoying the game with my sons, then a nice family dinner. The one upside from my perspective is temporarily I don’t have the ticket so I can stay home to watch these games. At least in FL (I know there are a few on this board), most of the state gets the Dolphins Bills game televised. (Minus Jax and the Panhandle) Anyway, I’m happy for you guys though.
  4. I don’t. Need stats as I have these unique things (eyes). They stink and it couldn’t have come sooner. I hope they Waller in misery for the next two decades.
  5. Chandman, agreed. Three years later Allen is the best QB from that class. Mayfield is progressing and Lamar has improved, but they are not on Allen’s level. Allen has proven this year he is a franchise Qb, and no one is perfect. I could care less what the talking heads say as they change like the wind.
  6. I’ve never seen a liger. 😂. But I have seen a Tigger. He bounces and bounces and is friend with a really boring horse. Oh wait, that’s.....
  7. It’s in the main page of two bills drive. It is turning out to be a promising draft. Moss isn’t the problem, the O Line in the rush is the problem. It’s almost baffling how they can do a very good job at pass pro, and nit create a seam for Moss. Davis has been awesome. We don’t know on Fromm, Bass has his sea legs now and looks worth it, and Jackson is going to be the steal of the draft. We don’t know on Hodgins. The article mentioned they may be keeping him on IR to stash him and that makes sense. Epenesa is competing with a lot of guys. I’m hopeful as we head down the stretch he gets more playing time.
  8. You’re the one. Pineapple on pizza? You’re dead to me. 😂. I get the sarcasm, and yes, we could win them all, we could lose them all, and we can go 3-3. I like Dawg’s positive attitude. The Steelers are a real test. If we beat them, I’m feeling great about a deep run in the playoffs. I can also see a version where we beat the Steelers, but lose a trap game. I sincerely hope that is simply an irrational fear.
  9. I’ll defer to the prime minister of mother Russia who has for the record the biggest cat I’ve ever seen.
  10. I don’t know Putin. They were crushed tonight with penalties, but fair. They weren’t jobbed. They are a solid team, and the Hawks had a good plan for Murray. I will agree the faster that Hail Murray goes away on NFLN, the better.
  11. So I gues you were listening to WGR the other morning with Howard, Jeremy, and Sal. They made this exact point. They then took it to the Steelers who as you point out won their three, but the other 6 teams were not very good at all. They also said they were all division opponents in Baltimore, TN, and Cleveland. Sal made the point we are much better suited to win in the playoffs as we’ve played the better teams in the league. It’s interesting how many posters on this board Act like the sky is falling when we win, because it’s convincing enough, and god forbid we actually lose to three of the toughest teams in the NFL. I specifically liked their dialogue thinking if we played the Chiefs, we would have been much more aggressive on defense, and the argument can be made the Bills worst offensive performance was against the Chiefs.
  12. The game hasn’t even started and Winston threw two pics in early early warmups. As much as I don’t like the Jets, then again all of our divisional rivals, I truly hope Darnold can rehab his career. I still contend he’d fit perfect in a system with a good team with a QB getting closer to the end. I’d love to see him in Pittsburgh. A great team, solid defense and weapons, and Big Ben will only last so long with the hits he’s received. Darnold could get his bad habits fixed in time, and possibly take over at one point. New Orleans is a good team, but I can’t see Brees making it another year. The other downside is NO is over the cap next year to approximately $81 mil.
  13. Hap, as always you nailed it. Bob, we might see a natural improvement with the team, because for the first time all year we might have the right combination on the line. I think they held out Mitch because of the concussions, just didn’t say it. With Dawkins, Ford, Morse, Feliciano, and Williams, we should have the right combination to open seams for Moss or Singletary. Those two have been consistently hit behind the LOS. Barry Sanders wouldn’t get a lot if yards when that happens. Much too much is made out if their lack of speed. Singletary was fine with speed last year. If we as a team fix the run game the next two games, we are a complete offense. I also see all of these CB’s getting healthy and off Covid restrictions to make a nice run on the defense.
  14. There is going to be a youth movement on the team next Year. Defensive line, and so on. We can’t spend a ton of $ on free agency given the Covid cap thing, so our draft will be eaten up with defensive lineman, cornerback, tight end etc. it’s the smart move and hopefully Epenesa responds with a good finish this year.
  15. As always, way to cut to it 3/12. He’s a steal in the 7th round. We don’t need any other retreads. After the bye, with the guys getting healthy and the others off the reserve Covid list, we’re fine. In two weeks, I hope Feliciano’s pectoral is healthy enough, he feels comfortable back at RG, so we get Morse back at center. We’ve not had Sawkins, Ford, Morse, Feliciano, and Williams all together for any significant play, and I believe would result in a solid push for the run game. These next two games can be the opportunity to get our run game in a rhythm.
  16. Ridge, I don’t know about you but,
  17. My interpretation is they want him down the stretch and I believe since college and high school, he’s had 8 concussions. An extra couple of weeks could mean a healthier center down the road.
  18. Sage, thanks bud. I wouldn’t get wrapped around the axle. At worst, we should be 4-2, but opposing teams now have tape on Tua. It will get harder on him throughout the year, and they Still have the Chiefs. When I think about all the scenarios, this comes to mind.
  19. Well, after 10 games, that’s a good sample size, he’s on pace for 4600 yards, 34 TD’s to 11 Int’s, and a 68% completion %. I’d say that’s pretty impressive in year 3. I was cautiously optimistic before the season, and he has more than exceeded expectations. I was so happy when he said after the donations, he wanted to be a Bill for life. I believe him. It’s funny if he marries his girl in Buffalo, they could end up like the Kelly’s or Thomas’s and stay after their football career. Anyway, I’m not deterred at all because of the loss on Sunday. He played well and we just lost on a fluke play in the last seconds of the game. It’s not like we were blown out. In three weeks, I can easily see us 9-3, heading into the Steelers game. This sounds silly, but I’d rather lose in a hiccup to the Broncos, as long as we win in Pittsburgh. You know even if the Ravens beat the Steelers and it ends up they are 11-1, and we are 9-3, every analyst on the planet will take the Steelers. I’m not fearful of them, just excited for the challenge. We have the offense to do it. As slow as Bug Ben has looked with his knee, I’m hopeful we blitz all day that game, especially safety blitzes. They seem to work well in the right scenario.
  20. It’s pretty cool he made the record of three 50+ in one quarter. Those were tough kicks.
  21. Exactly, and they still have to face the Chiefs. Besides, you want to have a team or even two in the division to push you. Look at the rivalry between the Ravens and Steelers.
  22. To the OP, thank you for sharing these sentiments. I’m going to bring it up on NFLR radio as what classy fans are the Cards. If nothing else, it should bring some attention to this great cause and these great fans. If anyone has the total in the morning, throw it on here as I’ll check before I call and credit them as well. At least something nice one of us can do. Maybe other fans will follow suit.
  23. Victory. I feel the same. I think they can hand with Tampa or New Orleans for the big dance. It actually would make me happy if our three losses are to the two AFCC rivals last year, and the incoming SB contender.
  24. First, I thought fans around the league once they heard what we have done for Patricia’s memory and for Dalton would contribute to a good cause. The nice thing is $17 is not to most people a big thing, and if someone is on tough times, no worries. As far Fitzy, he rented a house in my neighborhood for the Cards/Steelers SB here in Tampa. He was so classy and us dads tried to get our kids to leave him in peace that week. We asked him once if he wouldn’t mind not even autographs but maybe a pic or two for the kids that loved him. We promised no more than 3 minutes if his time. He was wonderful and we shooed our kids off as he spent $5k to be left in peace in a gated neighborhood where no one, but us knew as the family that rented their house out told us. I can’t remember meeting another football Star as classy as him.
