  1. I don’t disagree. C. Polian is 46, Dave Caldwell is 48, Tom Telesco is 48, an Daboll is 45. They all went to St. Francis, and a couple of them played for John Carroll. They must run in the same circles. Daboll probably feels really comfortable with Telesco, and they have lots of talent both on offense and defense, most importantly Herbert. Thus is a great call for Herbert, the Chargers, and Daboll. I’m happy for him if it happens. Not to be cliche, but I trust the process with McBeane. If anyone doesn’t trust them by now after four years of excellent decisions, then I just don’t know what you need to trust their judgement whether it’s Dorsey, or someone else. They will figure out who is the best fit for the organization, and the Pegulas are not meddling owners unlike others. I was a little concerned for Daboll going to Houston due to their dysfunction, but it never came to pass. I think Daboll could’ve done it and probably turned Watson around, but this one is so much better for him. Think about it, he has a QB, an estimated $23 mil. In cap space, and the likes of Bosa, Allen, Hayward, Joseph, Williams, Ekelar, and James. With a full draft of 9 picks, he is set up for a turnaround. I like the Chargers when not playing us. Good news for us is we just played so unless we end up in the same position, we won’t face them for three years. We know at least next year we won’t have them to face.
  2. Guys, Allen played at Wyoming. He’s not exactly foreign to 32 degrees and 15-20 mph winds. Lamar’s never seen it. You can use the argument the offensive player has the advantage in snow or rain, but that means they play man, and we have Wr’s who can beat man without a hiccup. Allen has one of the top 3 strongest arms in the NFL (Mahomes, and Rodgers). That doesn’t mean their aren’t other great QB’s like Wilson, Brady still, Watson, and so on, but the ability to cut the wind and flick it is reserved to those three. weather won’t be a cause for a win or loss. Those DB’s are going to have a problem with Brown and Diggs, and Davis has a huge radius for even an off throw. Beasley and Singletary will be excellent dump offs. Just look at what a team looking very similar to us did to the Ravens (Chiefs). Kelsey is basically a big WR. The Ravens did what they do best. They played man, and blitzed a bunch. I never would’ve compared the two team until recently. 2020’s body of work indicates a very similar type of team. What I wonder is with a man coverage and an athletic QB, Allen might run several times. Zone contains Allen’s runs. Man coverage dictates don’t be surprised to see Allen running at least 5-6 times tonight. As long as he remains strict with sliding like he’s done most of the year, he should be ok. I just wonder will motor, Yeldon, and maybe Williams be a factor. They have almost no tape on Williams. It’s funny as Williams looks like the bruiser, but Yeldon is 11lbs. based on roster stats, heavier. Is it 8:15pm yet? I slept like a baby last night, but amped as much as I was young with games and matches when I played and wrestled. I think I’m hitting the gym a second time today to burn off energy, before I relax with otc Xanax (ie. Guinness and Harps mixed).
  3. Chevy, couldn’t agree more. It is very difficult for me to slam the Pegulas for anything given what they did for Buffalo and I haven’t lived there for half of my life. I love the city I grew up in through college, and they singlehandedly along with Ralph.
  4. We’ll be going to KC. It really makes a statement the Browns didn’t have 7 players and their coach, and they still beat a pathetic Steelers team. I don’t see the Chiefs losing, but would be great for you guys up there to attend the first championship game in a very long time. Tonight, we win DEFIANTLY! I placed us at 75%, only because fluky things can happen like the Hail Mary in AZ. We should’ve won that game. So outside if something stupid happening, we win.
  5. Someone that lovely lady a bucket of wings, mighties, and my favorite, Blasdell pizza for the game tonight. We’ll make a Buffalonians out of her yet.
  6. I love GMFB just because of him (and Kay Adams of course). That was fantastic! Thanks OP.
  7. Allowing this trade which won’t happen is equivalent to a potential or new head coach saying, by. He is the reason anyone of any talent comes. He’s gone, the coach is gone. They are already not set at the cap or the draft pics. A coach c9me because if a top QB. He’s not there, by by by.
  8. Allen running makes me think it was partially to create a second take from Indy as they haven’t employed in forever, but even moreso, will make Harbaugh think twice. I love it in retrospect. Make them blink.
  9. Best damn bills backers bar anywhere. I love when Christie comes by with his family. Good to hear from you T&C. Fleez, what part of Tampa. Grew up in Buffalo, but know Tampa like the back of my hand. Helps when in sales as you have to drive everywhere.
  10. Understood. If you change you’re mind, Jax is a fun town. The Crowne Plaza across the bridge is fun and walking distance.
  11. RPO sack. Then two more hurries and a punt. Return for a 8 minute drive to TD. As *NSYNC sang, BYE, BYE, BYE.
  12. New Era, I’m not that adept, but I would definitely watch matchup on espn tomorrow morning as I know they have a couple of slots early. I’m betting they focus on this point as one of their discussion points. funny as I can’t stand espn, but this show is excellent at his exact question. They also don’t predict, but just give watch outs.
  13. First mistake, watching ESPN (except MNF and Matchup)
  14. He’d better load up on NFL assistants. He does cultivate good programs, but he’s kind of like the Parcells of college ball. He builds a program up and then takes off, ie. Pats, Jets, Fins as a GM, and Dallas. I didn’t include the Giants as he hung around there for quite sometime. Not that this is a good reason to hire someone, but he is God in that area. Not because of his Ohio days, but FL. That’s Gator country. He’ll have a nice QB to develop, and there are some talented players on that team, not a lot, so he will have to build this up over a couple of years like McD did here. One thing I haven’t seen posted yet (may have missed it) is we play them in Jax next year. The vaccine thing should be close to done by September so you could enjoy three FL games if you like to travel for the games (Tampa, Jax, and Miami).
  15. Exactly Hap. Although nickel is their go to in most games which is very good against the pass and outside throws, Lamar is just not adept at outside throws. It’s a little out of context for this unit, base defense could help and clogging up the interior lanes. Milano has to have a good game against the TE’s. They don’t play as much 13 personnel this year, but a lot of 12. These are big ifs, but if we clog up the middle from the pass and play contain, Lamar is not going to have a good day.
  16. It’s what happens when the memory fades over 40 years. Fond innocent memories. Go Goggles.
  17. This is Richard trying to be on a SB team again before he retires. He’s a smart guy, but very outspoken. Not a bad thing. He would if he could actually play even 80% of what he used to do as a solid zone corner. He’d have to sell out for a ring, as he’s not worth top $.
  18. Donuts, I’m a little disappointed you didn’t take a guess. It was the alter ego of Fred Flinstone who was a car racer in that cartooning the 60’s. Used to watch as a boy on CBC when I was little as reruns. As you know Fred was built like a brick shirt house, aka, Star. Lovin the creativity though.
  19. Donuts, you’re into something, but I’m going with Google Gispoceles for his name (I’ll give you a quarter if you figure that one out). You’ll know it as soon as I mention it. BTW, you can’t google as doesn’t show up. 🤔
  20. Doc, funny you say that as I’ve always respected Harbaugh, and a team that came out strong since the beginning. Incidentally, I forgot Deion was there. I just get sick of the melodrama with Ray Lewis. He was positive the other day about the Bills on Inside the NFL, but he is over the top. It’s like he is still trying to overcompensate for that mess in Atlanta over 20 years ago. After watching the show, I was even more emboldened how much I hope we bury them Saturday night.
  21. So my answer is hell no to fire ants. Bad memories. Don, I’ll pm you a funny true story about my stupidity with those things when I moved here.
  22. Michael, that is correct. Art Modell (the owner who championed MNF and several other league advancements as well as championed more African Americans drafted in the 50’s and 60’s before it became common, ie. Jim Brown and others) tried negotiating with Ohio and Cleveland for a new stadium as the old one was falling apart. The city and state continued to stall, and Baltimore ponied up. Baltimore if you remember had the Colts there forever until they moved out in. The middle of the night in 1984. MD was willing to pay a substantial amt. of $ for the new stadium. Modell supposedly warned Ohio he would have to move if they didn’t find the $. The Ravens came to fruition in 1996 (when Ray Lewis was drafted). Incidentally, I knew people from Cleveland would probably not be happy about the whole situation, but when I went there fir a couple of business trips, I heard first hand the vitriol for Modell. It’s understandable if we lost our Bills. There is a lot more, but it was a crazy time during the 80’s and 90’s with teams moving, expansion, etc. it’s understandable especially if you’re younger (just a guess, but could be wrong) to not have all the movement down. The historians probably could do a better job then me if this is a serious inquiry.
  23. OP, 1975 corrected you’re post. We play the other AFC divisions every three years and every 6 at home which is what we assume you are referring to and that is not abnormal. That is how the NFL works. The other years, it depends on where you finish the year before. this has been the case forever. Not you, but am baffled I continue to hear this fro people who say “why this Ir that”. There is nothing mysterious about it. Just like we play every NFC division every 4 years, and at home every 8 years. I hope that helps, but nothing fluky or mysterious about it.
