  1. It’s funny you say that as my ex, wanted to go there so years ago, I flew with her on vacation to LA. We drove up and down the PCH a number of cities in CA. Of all the places we went and all the talk about how beautiful SF was to visit, I found it older and dirtier than expected and the bums everywhere in the streets was disgusting. There were some good parts, but several other places were much more beautiful.
  2. Appreciate you sharing, but it’s history. He could’ve helped us and I believe an effective FB would help our running game. Look what it did for SF in their SB year. They had one of the best running games in football. This year was just a mess for them in injuries at critical positions. Next year they will come back. We won’t face them for another three years which is good. it’s too bad as the girl would’ve probably grown to love Buffalo. Now they live in a beautiful city, but it’s one of the highest costs of living in the country.
  3. Teams most likely don’t think Milano is just another commodity like so many here. Our team was 12-1 when he played this year. Without him we were 3-3. I can definitely see Indy paying fair market value for him and they are a team that is close. They looked very good against us minus the Josh Allen factor.
  4. If we have another excellent year and get the national spot a couple of times, I could definitely see Geico, Amazon, or one of these Uber mega rich companies (and good for them) as they’ll get lots of exposure. These large companies want to be associated with a reparable winner. They know their will be more exposure to their name. I know you guys are having fun, but a Tim Hortons, Mighty Taco (as much as I love them) will never fly. It’s going to be a multi-national company who banks on lots of advertising. Look at how many insurance or commercial products companies flood the airwaves with advertising.
  5. You know I love what Roberts did for us, and he’s a value player, but McKenzie could be that Swiss Army knife. He’s a better WR, can return, probably not as good as a 31 yr. old, and has almost looked like a RB on reverses, and even played CB in a pinch. Roberts is a couple million, and if we get a decent return and reliable back up WR, and a gadget guy, who even can back up in a pinch CB, why let that go? I truly believe of the coaches put Stills and him in the game at KC, maybe there would’ve been more openings for Allen. It’s all hindsight, but the coaches should’ve known the limitations of our guys. Maybe the same outcome, but two healthy guys out there could’ve done something. It’s not just the KC game, but an example that a guy in a pinch as Roberts isn’t that guy as seen in the Titans game. Please know I always was a proponent prior to the year for Roberts, but he is a luxury. Just my opinion, but I want versatility, and he would be cheap.
  6. The voice of wisdom. I couldn’t agree more. It’s always nice to hear need vs. boa, but the truth for almost every team is BPA at say four positions if need. So if this team has decided we need a RB, Edge Rusher, CB, LB, TE, OL, they are going to look at their board say of these positions who is the best of one of these spots.
  7. I thought similarly once I listened to the longer clip. It speaks to though the media will twist words around so he’s not a rookie. He should know to just say I could've done better, and I’m sure my teammates who I love feel the same, but comes back to me. He should know people will parse his words bending to whatever they want to purvey.
  8. H2O, one thing I like is you try and provide thoughtful threads, so thank you. You also don’t just say what if, what if that? ive read and heard the same from a variety of sources. I don’t know how real these points are as it is a stretch to see Wilson, a franchise guy who you’d assume there is some serious deadcap $ with him. He might be just wrangling or his agent to have more input on strategy. I just don’t know as it’s not normal like the GB thing with Rodgers to think he’s going anywhere. You might be onto something, but again thanks for the thread. Definitely worth hearing discussions. The other part is in a Covid cap world this year, that’s a big swallow for his contract. I think it’s around $35 mil. Per year.
  9. New Era and MPT, sounds like guys need to go to their corner. You both made very good points. The problem I’m not perfect but really try to not make it personal and just agree to disagree. I think both of you guys have good arguments. Anyway, we’re just having fun. Thank you for sharing seriously both of you.
  10. Thats Shady’s job, and he told me get off my lawn! 🤪
  11. Hap, Yep. I wrote this a month ago that be careful on SOS. We were supposed to have the 5th hardest SOS prior to the season, then several outlets evaluated at the end of the season as we knew the outcomes and turned out to be 15-16th based on outlet as you can’t predict the injuries of the 49ers, the Pats would be that bad and opt outs, the Dolphins would improve far more than expected, and so on. So will Brees be back, will the Panthers be able to make a deal for Watson, and so on, and so on. Will Brady even finally fall off. Too many variables, but pretty sure the Bucs, Chiefs, Dolphins maybe, Saints if Brees comes back, Titans, and Colts are possible battles, or not. Seeing a SOS after FA and the draft is more interesting to read, but still doesn’t tell all.
  12. I try and be a glass half full so from that perspective, our football acted almost a month later, and was great. I had misgivings too after the SB as it’s a long off season. I can enjoy other sports, but it’s nothing like the NFL.
  13. I was with a buddy Dave, had moved to Tampa a couple of days prior to Bills/Giants SB so I had been in Tampa two years and had made a bunch of friends. Hadn’t met my wife yet (that was a a year and a half later), so was heavily into the single deal to that point. There was a sports bar called the Fraternity House. They had all their waitresses in these little cheerleader outfits, amd management only hired incredibly hot girls. Dave, who was from Buffalo as well were getting frustrated the whole game. He asked me should we leave. I told him let’s see what happens in the 3rd quarter, but there is probably no way they come back. The it happened. We were high fiving so much by the end and after several pitchers of beer, Dave yelled, THATS IT WERE DRIVING TO PITTSBURGH! We were so excited we considered it, and then the hangover kicked in, amd we tried really hard to find tickets but couldn’t. We thought that place was good luck so we went back all the way to the SB. If we could’ve found tickets, we’re dead set we would drive 18 hrs. Up and back from Friday night through Sunday night.
  14. I hope he is ok. I don’t wish injuries on anyone. At least he has the whole off season to get healthy.
  15. Cheekitowaga Don. Replaced by Favre. Hey Ice, nice to hear from you bud. Happy you’re guy won MVP. Our guy will get there and has a lot of time to get it. I really thought the Packs were going to beat the Bucs, and I live here now. Too bad we didn’t have a Packs - Bills SB. Coudve been what should’ve happened in the first SB, but before my time. Anyway, nice to hear from you. Don’t be a stranger.
  16. Don you mailed it, priced right.
  17. Tubster, yes down here in Tampa it was non stop about whether to trade him. I was in the camp Tamp would benefit from him learning from Gronk and Brady. It became moot as he was hurt early in the year. He’s definitely an upgrade, but it’s one year on his rookie deal and then have to pay him.
  18. Going for broke on FA splashes is what brought us to a 17 year drought. It’s more important to have a strategy and stick to that long term strategy.
  19. Oh, those troopers gave it to him alright. Liked the Barry Sanders/Dave Meggett spin move though. It was funny and incredibly stupid as you know he’s not getting off that charge.
  20. Thanks for a measured position. I appreciate when people can acknowledge a weakness early, lots injuries to key players early, and improvement throughout the second half of the year. We absolutely need a pass rusher, and will need to replenish what we may lose in FA, or what we jettison.
  21. As to Howard, he has one year left on his contract at $6 mil. so would have to be a trade. He’s good for 500 yards a season, but it was believed he would take a good step this year before his injury. You have to ask, do you want to give up a pack for that price and is he worth it. He’s good as I’ve watched for several years, but us he worth this year a draft pick. As to Gronk, he’s never leaving Brady, and he is still impactful, but how many years does he really have left? He also costs more to bring on board. McBeane would never do it.
  22. I read both and I’m close. If you have to get one FA upgrade, and you look at the positions we could use an add it’s RB (no we need a young explosive one, I.e. Harris in the draft), an edge rusher (way too expensive in FA), CB (a nice add, but we have some talent in the 2nd sitting next to Hyde, Poyer, and White), and TE. Whether it’s Henry, injury issues, but maybe, or if there is another that’s a game changer, this position group is less in the tight end market. The only problem is it eats up $ even if constructed well for any of the needed extensions. We’re not as far off as has been stated so it’s like what Beane said, no big splashes. I’d love a TE in FA, I just know if Beane can accomplish everything. The next two years we have the AFCS/NFCS, then the AFCN/NFCN. This upcoming year could be another good one. Some competition, but this past year was very competitive.
  23. As he was in July of 2020. The Bucs were smart pick him up in two to three days this summer. I was hoping, but didn’t predict nor did just about anyone about Moss and Singletary.
  24. It was a lot of things. Bucs pressure with 4-5 Bucs ability to run when needed Solid O Line
