  1. you know btw you guys are talking we were the Packers getting torched 38-3. Way to be with you’re team. We had a bad game. doom and gloom threads galore and some are just enjoying it. If you ever played sports at a competitive level, haven’t you ever lost a game you thought you should win. You get in quick sand and you keep fighting, but everything goes wrong. Winners come out of it.
  2. Still thinking about who is just frustrated as we expected so much and fell short which is the majority, and who couldn’t wait to see weakness and just poke holes. Lots of néw faces on the board saying they’ve been here for years, yet shockingly they have 24 posts. im sure the majority are just frustrated. Just remember vets how many Jets fans were passive aggressive last year creating multiple accounts etc. what helps me is the new guys who are frustrated when we beat Miami (if we do) by 21 will find strengths in our team, or will poke holes in the LS, a dropped pass by a sure handed guy, ignore three excellent runs for the one bad one. it’s why I don’t respond to a lot of the new guys. I’ll wait til we have say three wins and are they truly fair balanced, or at least pats fan in NH are honest they are a pats fan. That, zero, and so. On love their teams, not apologetic, but recognize when we do things well. Love you guys and provide balance. my opinion is we had a very good defensive performance which is generally recognized by many pundits, but we can always be better. Our offense is why we lost this game. A characteristic, but happened.
  3. Thanks Hap, as I always like hearing what Simms has to say. It did look like they were clogging up lane from 15-25 yards. Either Allen had to be more crisp on the deep ball like he was last year, or what they did with shirt throws, but they could’ve stuck with the run when Allen figured out there tendencies dropping 8. Miami plays predominantly man, and doesn’t have the horse up front as the Steelers. Their secondary is better. I can see more running this game, and McD without saying anything is going to make a change in the line, as well as I’ll bet he’ll override Daboll a couple of times. We just won’t know it.
  4. The only fraud and loser in this one is Bart Scott. So in three weeks we are 3-1, will he have stubborn takes we are still frauds. IDC. If it’s a little bulletin board stuff for the guys in the locker room, great.
  5. Week 1 Rams- won week 2 Bucs
  6. I was surprised Ramsa Allen didn’t go to him more and have more snaps. It was a mistake I don’t think McD will do again. On the main page is a Jerry Sullivan article, and I can’t believe I’m saying it, but it was very well written. One of his points was this on Davis. He was also relatively positive and balanced. Give it a read.
  7. Looked perfectly legal to me outside of how far he drove him out of bounds. That could’ve been a personal foul, but I’m guessing the judges eyes were on the ball and didn’t see it. It’s football.
  8. This isn’t the only forum where vacc. Is mandatory. I choose to work on the sales side of medicine, which means I’m in hospitals, surgery centers, and doctors offices. A condition of employment is vaccination, and I can choose which one. If you feel strongly about not getting vacc., it’s you’re prerogative, but you can’t go to the game. As someone else wrote if you have tix, you have two days to request a refund. As more of these vacc. Become fully approved and they eventually fully approve booster shots, it will be more common for private sector companies to require. I’m not saying it’s right or wrong (although I do believe in it for me), but it will continue to grow especially with this variant increasing. I won’t be heading up there this year so have fun guys and cheer for our team. Let’s hope they have a get right game this week.
  9. It will probably end up somewhere in the middle where the County and State chip x $ and the Pegulas pay the rest.
  10. So you’re expecting the insert team that won to go 17-0. Cmon bud. It’s a long season and you have not I any idea we could go on a run. We lost to the Titans last year with a banged up team, but beat them the previous two years. What if we were 8-2 at 10 games. It’s not implausible. Not you per se, but too much overreaction to a week 1 loss.
  11. Gesicki will be tough to cover, but I want to believe we will beat them. I watched the game and I didn’t see Miami looking great. Then again, we looked terrible offensively. I’m hopeful this was an aberration and they will come back to form in Miami. I still think we can come out of the first quarter of the season 3-1.
  12. I don’t see our defense as crumbling or anything descriptive with only 16 offensive pts. By Pittsburgh. It’s as simple as offensive plays, play calling, and a terrible line performance against on of the best defensive lines in football. Allen and company blew it. The Bills offense didn’t execute. Our defense looked better than the first half of last year. We avg. 31 pts a game last year. 16 is never going to cut it.
  13. Can’t you catch a fly by now with you’re chopsticks? Loser San. I think we’ll survive brother.
  14. Miami should be fun. How about 7-0 Allen. No one rooting for you so no reason to get amped.
  15. Uncle Hulka said it best with his big toe. I know it’s silly.
  16. I know. I was making a point. 30 years ago and they should be running gassers. I know they won’t but that’s how I was coached and even if I had a good game, it really instills on you team game.
  17. I disagree. There was pressure often. Using Sal’s metaphor, arrow up on Oliver, Addison, and GROOT. The other guys had just an avg. game. They were better than last year on average. The Steelers only scored one TD, 16 offensive points, and didn’t run on us. It was our offense that sucked yesterday. Bad coaching, bad line, and a bad QB play. No freaking out, but I’m hoping has a practice this morning whether the players like it or not.
  18. I would’ve liked a series in each of the PS games, but I’m not going to blame it on that one. Hopefully these guys read their press clippings, and now are back to earth and take it out on Miami. If Miami drops 7, run. Then when they move up, big chunk throws.
  19. Thurm, well said. We should’ve ran 11 a lot more especially with Gilliam as the designated TE, but really a FB. If you want the Steelers to adjust and get more in the box, then the pass works. They also either tried too hard to get to Sanders, or maybe because they blanketed no one was open. They should’ve tried to get to Davis a lot more. 10 personnel can work, but not against this opponent.
  20. GB, agreed in the first half, but my point to expand is they were dropping back 7 and as McD said in his post game presser, 8 at times. In those circumstances we should’ve ran more. We became incredibly predictable. When they are dropping that much, we should use Gilliam as a blocker and punch forward. 4.5 yards per carry would’ve been great and we just kept throwing when Josh was having a bad day.
  21. As always, thanks Virg. The running game was working and we didn’t expand on it. Whether it was Josh making a poor throw or the drops from the WR’s, they waited way too long before they used the run game more effectively. Coaching was terrible, and Daboll if you’re going to out in a heavy set, RUN THE DAMN BALL. We were winning that game although sloppily until 10:38 in the 4th quarter. Virg, thanks for the write up and I believe we can improve in Miami, but as you said, no more stubborn ball. Now I haven’t nor any of us seen the all 22, so only the guys at the game would know when we were throwing it to Sanders, was anyone else open, or was he the only one open. You can’t tell from the tv in most situations.
  22. Maybe it’s just nicks to Moss, but I can see a game specific having Motor or Moss and Breida as the first two are somewhat alike. Breida adds in jet sweeps and intermediate pass drop off options. That’s a good plan.
  23. In the old days Karlos, they had the at the McKinley, but that closed down if I remember. That was perfect back then as so close to the stadium. They really should have them at a hotel for stuff like this and other things.
