  1. I only ever see tickets being sold in pairs. Really hard to find a single. About where are you sitting, if I may ask? Just curious.
  2. Oh, I feel you, believe me. This was a bitter pill to swallow. Part of it is the nature of this particular game. Looked into what a Rams ticket in October would be for comparison, and they're about a third the price. I wasn't going to do this game myself, but friends I know who have been to SoFi were telling me what a great venue it is. If you go onto Gametime, I believe you can get two tickets for maybe a little over $350, before fees, and taxes (so $400ish?). That will put you over the corner of the end zone in the top level. Basically the worst seats in the house, but... if there "aren't any bad seats..." I found an interactive map that shows about what your view would be. https://chargers.io-media.com/web/index.html# Parking though... Holy crap! I'm going to have to get creative on that. I think we might take the train in from a few miles away with our bikes. Parking at the SoFi for that game starts at $296!!!
  3. Gametime seemed to have the best prices by a little, but I actually got lucky with a couple resale tickets from Ticketmaster.
  4. Just bought tickets for myself, and my soon-to-be 12-year-old son Bruno to the Bills @ Rams game at SoFi. OK seats, I suppose-- front row of the top tier, and they weren't cheap, considering the altitude. I haven't yet been to SoFi, but I'm told "there aren't any bad seats." We'll see... The last Bills game I attended was the Chargers debacle at Stubhub center (that's a 24,000 seat venue) where Nate Peterman schatt himself in the first half. I witnessed that abomination from the fourteenth row at the twenty yard line. Fourteenth row at the twenty yard line for this game was listed at $1,850 a seat. So, I'm getting Bruno a set of binoculars for his birthday.
  5. Am I the only one that's annoyed by all this "The Bills are going to the Super Bowl!!!" talk? I'm way too superstitious, and it's pissing me off. Everyone shut up already! Let's at least play a game or two!
  6. Which it might have! That would be the most disturbing part if I were a Dolphins fan.
  7. Ya know... I'm starting to think maybe they did...? In one of those Tweets in that article, Brendan Schaefer states :"Under no circumstances can you tweet this as the actual team. In the time of year for OTA propaganda... this is a hit piece!" I'm starting to wonder if maybe he's right. Is Tua preemptively being thrown under the bus? And if there's an organization that knows hot to treat their QB like *****, it's the Miami Dolphins.
  8. WOW!!! That ball must have gone, like... 40 yards! And how'd he get that much hang-time?
  9. IMO, Hughs was part of what really should be considered a legendary defensive line-- Jerry Hughs, Marcel Darius, Kyle Williams, and Mario Williams. The year Jim Schwartz was DC, they led the league in sacks, yet had the second lowest blitz rate.
  10. I hope when he hangs it up he, and the Bills would consider signing a one day deal so he can retire a Bill.
  11. There's a lot of good segment options here for him, tho. He could do an analysis segment called "Brady's Asterisk." He could do an interview segment called "Brady's Soft Balls." He could do a call-in segment where he answers callers' questions, and then destroys his phone at the end. He could do something similar to Baldy's Breakdown, called "Brady's Spycam."
  12. idk... every time I hear him interviewed, he seems like the dullest human being on the planet, with the personality of a dish towel.
  13. Talking about the Winfield Grill in Rochester on Winton. I went there with my brother a couple years ago when I was visiting Rochester (I live in Los Angeles now, but I still have lots of family there). We used to frequent the place back in the '80s. Still open.
  14. Winfield Grill in Rochester for the original recipe of what would eventually be called "Buffalo Wings." Essentially deep fried wings with equal parts butter, and Tobacco Sauce. They're still there, but have upgraded their recipe, of course. Also, Sal's Birdland in Syracuse. The first place in the country to sell wings as its own meal. You can still buy Sal's Sassy Sauce at Wegmans. Also, my personal fave: Country Sweet Chicken and Ribs. An addiction. First opened in a tiny little store on Monroe Ave. That original place is long gone. They only had a total of three locations in Rochester at their peak. Now, they're down to one location on Mt. Hope Ave. You can still buy Country Sweet Sauce at Wegmans, and "Country Sweet" has become a common flavor at other wing venues throughout WNY.
  15. Check out the NFL's annual growth rate during Goodell's tenure, and you'll have your answer.
  16. I'm going to disagree with this. Had Saffold been specific, it would only have gotten bigger with opposing sides shouting about racism vs "cancel culture." Why would he want to lend his name to that? Why would he invite accusations of "playing the racism/victim card?" It's enough for us casual observers to know this sort of thing still goes on, and move forward from there. And if Saffold didn't see the need to escalate the situation further, I'll trust his judgement.
  17. Thanks, was just about to post this.
  18. I wonder about Moss. In 2020, he was rated as the best RB in pass protection in the NFL. That's not a small thing in the spread offense they were running. I have no idea how he graded in '21 though, and obviously he wasn't used nearly as much. I won't count him out either, and I'll never hang my hat on a rookie RB based on his college tape. Suffice to say there will be some stiff competition for the likely three RB spots on the roster (excluding Taiwan Jones).
  19. I don't know about "miracle worker," but I'd say he's a definite upgrade to Bobby Johnson.
  20. With the loss of Mongo, we really don’t have a backup center, do we? I’m not aware of any of our other IOL FA signings having that position flex. I know Boettger has snapped in practice, but beyond that, it would seem to be a pressing need, no?
  21. I don’t know that Stevenson does have Shakir on speed or quickness. I know there has been this narrative that Stevenson is lightning fast. I just don’t recall ever seeing it.
  22. He wasn’t targeted once in the regular season, only in preseason. He had one long reception vs the Lions in week one of preseason (40+yards I think?) where he got zero YAC. If you watch the replay, you’ll see the Lions defender was with him step for step. It was a great catch, but was there a catch in the preseason where he got to turn on the speed? If there is, I don’t remember it. I’m just not sure what kind of speed you see out of him, other than a 4:45 40 time stat line? (Khalil Shakir had a 4:43, btw)
  23. Hell, they should have McKenzie do it. That guy can do anything.
