  1. Will there be many TBD'ers there tonight? I live pretty much in walking distance, so if so I will stop down to meet some of you.
  2. Man that was funny!
  3. We purchased an in-ground last summer and are very happy with it. Your 30K figure is spot on when factoring in concrete and landscaping. Figure on spending about $400 per summer on chemicals. Get a heater - it's well worth it and uses far less natural gas than you would imagine. Also - get a Loop-Loc cover. I can't stress that enough. Very durable and very safe. Lastly, I can't recommend Colley's Pools enough. They were great from start to finish. Make sure you give them a call.
  4. Or let it go, and don't be the guy who disrespects the national anthem by talking during it. It actually makes you the bigger a-hole, because you are being disruptive, where as the other guy is just wearing a goddam hat. It's akin to hitting a child for hitting someone else.
  5. This is what I should have done in each of the Bills Superbowl appearances. Bet $500.00 against them every time. After all, who wouldn't pay 5 hundo to see the Bills win it all? The alternative is making a bunch of dough. Win-Win!
  6. Q: You know what's more annoying than people who don't take their hats off to show respect for the national anthem? A: People who talk during the national anthem and say things like "Take off your hat".
  7. 20 bucks says those expressing teh moast outrage have eaten french fries or german potato salad on the 4th of July from a plate with an American flag, and then wiped their mouths with a napkin displaying old glory.
  8. LOL I suppose you pick and choose which parts of the constitution to respect as well?
  9. Actually, taking the entire 16 game season into account I would say Walker actually played the best overall. But of course, being best on a line that had such stand-outs like Duke Preston, Melvin Fowler, and Derrick Dockery is like coming in 1st in the Special Olympics.
  10. Kids don't belong in bars. Not only for the sake of the patrons, but for their own.
  11. I meant McNally. But at any rate, I didn't say 'he' sucked, but rather "the line".
  12. And yet while he was here our line still sucked.
  13. Exactly. The offense has been boring enough over the last few years that when combined with copious amounts of alcohol it's more likely to induce sleep than riots.
  14. Throwing downfield is the "final solution" to the Bills offensive woes.
  15. I'm pretty sure his reinstatement in the NFL had some conditions regarding alcohol and drugs. It could also be a violation of his parole.
  16. I agree they shouldn't be unfocused, but they certainly appeared that way.
  17. I'm hoping that the sloppy play last night was due to them being unfocused after closing camp.
  18. I don't think anyone played well last night (save for a few 2nd and 3rd stringers). A few times the line held well though, and TE couldn't get rid of the ball. If he is gonna continue to make short passes, he may as well do them in under 3 seconds.
  19. Too bad the O-Line rookies weren't the ones who kept holding onto the ball too long...
  20. The more Mitchell tweets, the more I think he was in the 10-15 Wonderlic range. Also: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/...troduce-maybin/
  21. Sgt. Peppers taught the band to play?
  22. Also - could we get a topic or two about Mike Vick?
  23. Obviously you didn't see Ellis Lanksters...
  24. Records of teams that player in the HoF game going back to the 2000 season: 2000: New England Patriots (5-11, NP) San Fransisco 49'ers (6-10, NP) 2001: St. Louis Rams (12-4, P) Miami Dolphins (11-5, P) 2002: New York Giants (10-6, P) Houston Texans (4-12, NP) 2003: Kansas City Chiefs (13-3, P) Green Bay Packers (10-6, P) 2004: Washington Redskins (6-10, NP) Denver Broncos (10-6, NP) 2005: Chicago Bears (11-5, P) Miami Dolphins (9-7, NP) 2006: Oakland Raiders (2-14, NP) Philadelphia Eagles (10-6, P) 2007: Pittsburgh Steelers (10-6, P) New Orleans Saints (7-9, NP) 2008: Washington Redskins (8-8, NP) Indianapolis Colts (12-4, P) Not too much you can derive from that, but if someone were inclined, you could dig deeper and see how those teams started out relative to their division opponents perhaps. My guess though, is that the extra game is a small factor in the success or failure of a franchise in any given season.
