I have heard from someone who says that while the developer is buying the house, it is being leased to Marshawn's mother. Can't say if it's true, but it might be what added to the confusion. This person who told me this has reason to know, but I'd prefer not to out them as it could cost them their job.

You misunderstand - his annoyance carries more weight. He is a special flower. His mommy told him so. (I'd like to hear a caller ask him how someone who considers themselves to be in possession of a genius-like level of intellect could be satisfied while wasting away behind a microphone at a radio station discussing a sport he doesn't enjoy. That might make for some good radio...)

Sure, sometimes callers are ill-informed, but this knucklehead uses it as a license to be impolite in return. My all time favorite band. I didn't mention them because the OP said "rock" only and I figured he didn't want metal. But seriously, you can't tell them apart? Their styles are quite different. Adrian has the more structured solos with the wider vibrato, while Dave has the more Hendrix-y sound with less bite from using his neck pickup. (I'm a total Maiden geek. I have a tattoo, play in a tribute band, etc )

I'm not the world's biggest VH/EVH fan, but I don't know if it's possible to overrate him as a guitar player. The one think that I've always found unique about him is the way he can take a phrase which on paper should not fit, and yet when you hear it, it makes perfect sense.

Rolling Stone is a fcking joke. Kurt Cobain? Underrated? GOOD? HA! He was a terrible guitar player. Awful. I agree that Lifeson is way underrated.

But if he really turns out to be the best linebacker coming out of college in 10 years, wouldn't that be a small price to pay? (I realize pre-draft evaluations aren't worth the TP on which they are written, just playing devil's advocate).

Would you guys be ok with dealing up to get him? I'd be able to get behind dealing the 11th pick and a 2nd rounder to move up to 3rd. Although I'm not sure if KC would make that deal. We could still get a quality player with the 28th pick (OL or TE) and then draft a DE in the third I suppose.

As you can clearly see from the original post, I didn't believe it at all. The question was: have you ever heard of a stipulation like that in a contract?

Typical "friend of a friend heard from so-and-so" thing, so take it with a full sized helping of salt: Friend of a friend was speaking to the father of someone involved with the Bills. The person stated that T.O.'s contract contains a provision wherein he will receive a million dollar bonus if he gets less than 90 catches. I challenged this saying "you or this guy probably misunderstood and it's a bonus for 90 or more catches, not less" and he replied that he was certain this is what he was told. Have any of you ever seen a contract that paid a bonus if the team didn't get you enough carries, catches, snaps, etc? Sounds like total BS to me, or at least a complete misunderstanding, as I would almost expect there is a bonus for him to have 90 or more.
