I'm hoping that the sloppy play last night was due to them being unfocused after closing camp.

I don't think anyone played well last night (save for a few 2nd and 3rd stringers). A few times the line held well though, and TE couldn't get rid of the ball. If he is gonna continue to make short passes, he may as well do them in under 3 seconds.

I recorded it while I was at the game so I could review this morning. I watched each of the plays from the first 3 drives of each team and was concentrating on the O-Line. No doubt Walker could have been called for holding on at least 2 plays. After focusing more intently on his play I noticed the following: He seems to stop the second the play moves away from him. Might be half-a$$ing it in the preseason. Let's hope that's the case (although it might get TE decapitated). He gets turned around too easily If he gets good position on initial contact he seems to be able to get good push. The o-line overall was sharper than last week, and they appear to be well disciplined, as I would expect far more holding and false start penalties given their lack of experience and the no-huddle being employed.

Believe me, a large percentage of us wanted you to be right. But at the same time, the frequency and (perceived) veracity of the rumors made it too hard to ignore. Case in point: One of my best friends (stood up in each others weddings) works directly with the Bills organization. He called me around 4-ish to state that his business contact at OBD called him from SJF to let him know Vick was in town. I realize to you, or any other poster, this may seem like simple hearsay, but given that this individual and I trust each other implicitly, I had no reason to question the validity of this claim. Furthermore (assuming my friend was telling the truth) I cannot fathom why a rep. from the Bills would say such a thing if it were not true. (Then again - I also can't imagine that a Bills rep would make any such call under any circumstances ) When I take that into account and add it to the tidal wave of rumors, you can only imagine that I (and perhaps others who heard similar claims from those who claim to be 'in the know') would have to assume there were some legs to this. That being said, I certainly do appreciate your efforts in debunking this tripe.

OK - I just got a call from someone with connections to the Bills who says that Vick is at OBD. Cheese and Rice this had better not be true.

This is a non-story being kept alive by idiots tweeting and "professional" journalists not giving a rats a$$ about what they put out there, in hopes to be the guy that gets the scoop.

WGR just reported that the Bills commented to the station that OBD still stands by Brandon's statement from 2 weeks ago.

I still consider myself a conservative, although over the years I've found myself drifting toward the center, realizing that both groups have valid viewpoints and many of us tend to abandon reason in favor of towing party lines or adhering to talking points without careful consideration of the issues at hand. That being said, she and her troop of wing-nuts are giving conservatism a bad name.

I'm thinking that is very possible, but I worry about the peter principle in his case. To concur with some earlier points, I'd like someone who has a proven track record as a head coach.
