  1. The whole shebang was pretty laughable. Or at least it would have been had it not illustrated how badly informed many of the attendee's really were. My favorites were: "No taxation without representation". You have representation douchebag. Unless you are under 18 or live in DC, please don't say that. It makes you seem incredibly stupid. "Obama is a fascist!!!". Please get a dictionary and a few books on history. Lock yourself in a room until you have not only read them, but taken the extra time to comprehend them as well. "Blah blah some invocation of Abraham Lincoln blah blah taxes." Since you are out hollering about taxes, you certainly are aware Lincoln enacted the first federal income tax and basically founded the IRS. "I can't go to Disney world because of the Obama tax increases". I don't know where to even start on this. Wait, yes I do. If you are the person that feels this way, you posses the intellect of a rock. Not even a special rock, but a particularly dumb rock. Probably sedimentary. First, and I can't stress this enough "THERE HAVE BEEN NO TAX INCREASES YET". Second, I sincerely doubt anyone attending these rally's would actually fall into the category of people who are going to feel any tax increase. Most people will have a net tax decrease, at least at the federal level. I would wager that about 95% of the people protesting had no idea why they were protesting, but simply trying to express some frustration, which is understandable. I think we would all like to have our rep's in the house and senate actually read and understand these stimulus bills. We should want accountability and a trail of where this money goes. But if that was the focus of those tea parties, you'd be hard pressed to find it amongst the din of idiocy.
  2. Also, be careful with whom you do business if you are renting an RV. There is one in the town of Sheridan (Fredonia area) that is a convicted felon (fraud) and has several judgements against him.
  3. Most of the people that posted on his facebook page had positive messages from what I saw.
  4. Of what, spelling and grammar?
  5. Don't feel too bad Chef. I have a set of V-Drums, but I'm a lousy drummer, so they collect dust until my drummer buddies come over to record with me. As far as having an expensive ax I say go for it. Sometimes knowing you paid top dollar for almost any toy will guilt you into practicing a little more. Some might argue that sort of defeats the purpose if you only want to have fun, but nothing is more fun than improving and being able to tackle new material.
  6. Shhh! Don't let Chef Jim hear you say that!
  7. I would really like to get one. There are a number of things I still would like to get. This is #1 on my list right now: http://www.jacksonguitars.com/products/pro...duct=2803051876 I loves me my Jacksons and Charvels.
  8. I have a few: Charvel 475 Special Jackson Rhodes Flying V Jackson PC-1 Ibanez J Series Ibanez SZR720 ESP Custom (Strat Style - previously owned by George Lynch) ESP LTD Les Paul Knock-Off BC Rich Warlock Conn Classical Acoustic Washburn Bantam Bass Peavey Acoustic Ovation Celebrity Acoustic/Electric Optek Fretlight (Strat Style) Which means I need another to break away from unlucky #13
  9. Yeah, and I like to put them in my mouth. (Just had to chime in: I want to be on page 6 of one of the best TBD threads evaaaaaarrrr.)
  10. You git yer facts and take 'em somewheres else, Mr. Seriously though, thanks for the clarification.
  11. I vote for this one.
  12. Most likely BS. Where did you hear this rumor?
  13. I play several instruments, although I'm primarily a guitar player, and have been for over 20 years. I agree nothing really compares, but if this makes people interesting in music I'm all for it. You just go on being you! This part I wholeheartedly disagree with (the exception being music programs being canceled). I don't think the art of creating music is being lost at all, we are just finding new ways to do it. Although I don't like the fact that everyone seems to be faking it with pro-tools.
  14. I'm certain that's been happening since people first started buying instruments and isn't anything particularly new.
  15. Translation: "I'm coming to sh*t all over your thread!" I mean seriously, why bother coming into a thread about a video game to piss and moan about video games? You might be interested to know that plenty of musicians find this game entertaining. And as for your point about people being lazy do a little bit of research. Music industry experts are stating that they believe after a few years of flat sales, guitar sales increased largely due to the popularity of these types of games. Or you could post BS and whine all day on the internet.
  16. "Get off my lawn!"
  17. So what if it was? I didn't say I invented the joke. It was still funny as hell and she fell for it.
  18. I told my wife last year that a guy named Mr. Lyons had called with an urgent message about her bank account. Then I gave her the number to the Buffalo zoo.
  19. I just looked at my phone and I was called right at 11:00 PM, and my friend who called me said he had heard it minutes earlier via text message. I wonder if it had anything to do with him visiting the hospital earlier in the day?
  20. I was freaking out. My buddy called me right after the Sabres game last night and told me about the rumor. I called my wife, had her check this very site, and while she was doing that I called WGR, and they quickly dispelled it as nothing more than a vulgar rumor. Certainly made me think.
  21. I'm already planning on starting the day with a celebratory brunch at BW's. Then, I'm going to tailgate, followed by a party at the Ralph. I'm so pathetic...
  22. +1 For Caps and Punctuation. Usually these posts are hard to look at - this one is just hard to believe.
