Pegula sells land for $1.75 Billion, Will Bid on Bills!
yall replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Awful, just awful. You don't pump in pansy SteveStojan like that before a playoff game. Try some AC/DC instead of some crappy "woe is me, we deserve this" kind of tripe. Blech! -

Laugh if you will, I'm convinced. I want there to be an M. Night Shamalan twist to this whole thing, where Pegula buys the team, and pays Bon Jovi to play the home opener at the new stadium. -

Jesus no. Their simpy song "Better Days" ( which by the way was a rip off of "Life in a Northern Town") singlehandedly killed the Sabres. -

Retractable roof would absolutely be my preference over a dome. -

Very hopeful. I feel that with Pegula as an owner, our chances to host a Super Bowl might go up a bit, assuming a domed facility is in the plan. -
Is fan behavior really worse than it was 20 years ago?
yall replied to yall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ha! To be fair, I'm bascailly asking other people to do my research. I should have been a professor. -
So whenever the topic of fan behavior comes up, the local news (I'm thinking WGR in many cases) there is generally an assertion that its far worse than what it was in the good ol' days when we were winning. Example; Both the morning and afternoon crews often cite anecdotal evidence of increased poor fan behavior as reasons why they no longer attend games. I can't debate their personal reasons or experience, and it certainly isn't a huge leap to conclude that a poorly performing team will attract miscreants or at least people more interested in getting drunk than watching the game (personally, I do both with no problem). What I would like to know is this; beyond anecdotes, is there any fact/statistical based evidence to support this notion? Number of fan injuries reported, 911 calls, arrests, etc. Granted even some of those stats might be skewed. In 1994, how many people had a cell phone to report an incident? Have police become less lenient with pressure from the league, which in turn could impact arrest rates? It's easy to throw your hands up in frustration and exclaim that the sky is falling, but I'm not convinced. However, with some supporting data, I could be. Discuss.

Obama Missing Out On Good Publicity, Could Do What's Right

In that CNN article there is a petition for the White House. Sign it. They still need ~16K signatures. -
I realize it's early, and he doesn't have defenders bearing down on him looking to take his head off, but these early reports regarding EJ's throws are giving me hope. I think the season rides on his success. edit: And while I realize that statement is fairly obvious, it's been my biggest fear for the season - Will EJ actually show some measurable improvement?

It seems like half the complaints are about the poor food and beverage options, which has almost no relation to the structure itself. If they address the problems with the concourses being too narrow, update/upgrade the restrooms, and have DNC get their head out of their ass and put out a quality product, I think the renovated Ralph could be viable for many years to come.

I caught a little bit of it. Had no clue the Bills were previously known as the Bisons. Very nice job!

Thanks for the recap!

Awful. It's never easy. My condolences.

Still begs the question of why the store busted him. -

70,000 fans would have been happy to buy the kid crab legs, weed, or hookers. It's not about money, he's a thief. -

I'm annoyed by the whole thig to be honest. Granted this act is on a somewhat larger scale, but it's not like Boko Haram is new. I mean, this very administration fought amongst itself about whether or not to even include them on the terror watch list. They've been murdering, oppressing, kidnapping, and blowing sh1t up for years. Now all of the sudden it's the cause de rigueur for celebs on twitter.

Why do YOU think the Bills will finish below .500?
yall replied to ThurmasThoman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Considering that we were pacing the Broncos for the better part of the season as the only two teams putting up 20 or more every game, with very few points from the D and special teams (field goals notwithstanding), I'd say he did alright. Also don't forget, he was doing that with two injured RB's and a carousel of injured and inexperienced QB's. I'm not saying it couldn't have been better, but all things being equal, he did at least an average job. Far from being in over his head IMHO. -
I'm not always good with this stuff, but something shirt, easy to remember, and conveys the basic premise seems to be the most effect way. Maybe something like #JK4Madden2014. I'm sure there are better ones but something along those lines might be good. Oh and make sure to get the Bills Mafia on it, if they aren't already.

You need to make a good hashtag for it.

I think Holder is a racist douche, but this comment is misleading. Segregation didn't end 150 years ago. Plenty of people that are still alive today experienced it, and to say that it didn't have long lasting negative consequences is shortsighted. I agree that we need to address root causes and stop with the racially motivated band-aids. But there has to be an equal push from within these affected communities.

Report: agreement forbids sale to an owner who would relocate
yall replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Note "long term status". Someone could move the team after the lease expires. Maybe someone buys the team with the intent of keeping them here, but in 2025 decides "screw it, I can make more in LA". That's a simplistic take, but I think that's what's meant by long term, at least in this specific inrpretation. -

Speaking of lawyers, I love how all of the sudden everyone on TBD seems to have earned their juris doctorate over the winter, and are now fully versed in the interpretation and execution of legal contracts. Also, if you believe Tim G and the minority of posters are being wet blankets (and to be fair a few are going out of their way to be as negative as possible, but I suppose that is not an uncommon mentality for Bills fans) then just ignore them. If you feel their opinions are without merit, don't give them any attention. When the team is sold to a local owner, they are just going to find something else to try and aggrivate you. -
My thought is that most of them probably have real jobs and did this for fun/exposure/etc. You wanna make real money dancing? Go work at 24K...
