  1. It will be interesting to see what kind of year he has with the Chargers. Oh well . . . .
  2. I totally agree with the both of you -- about both the movie and Julie Delpy, of course. I like her in a number of movies, but one that you guys may like is Killing Zoe. I agree with you as well - both with respect to the series and Lady Mary. Unfortunately, I got into it just after season 2 was shown on PBS. Season 2 has a very long wait on Netflix. I may have to break down and buy it.
  3. I would prefer it if the collar wrapped all the way around . . . . Nevertheless, I will certainly take these over the abominations we previously had.
  4. Yes, it probably would be.
  5. Somewhat D. Bell related: Karl Malone's other son verbally commits to LSU He also is an offensive lineman. I wonder if Malone treated this son better than Demetrius.
  6. Thank you.
  7. I am worried that this may inflate D. Bell's price.
  8. I am not in a position to say whether we should take him with the 10th pick as opposed to others based on any extensive personal knowledge. The few times I saw him play, he looked pretty good. I do think that -- presuming he is a top 10 talent -- it will indeed come down to how Buddy and the Bills view his character. I also cannot evaluate that issue based on the few things I have read. Nevertheless, I have noticed that, since Buddy took over, the Bills seem to put a premium on character. If they are not satisfied that he has overcome whatever "character issue" he may have had, I do not see them picking him with the 10th pick in the draft. On the other hand, if they are satisfied that he has resolved whatever issue it is, it will come down to how they evaluate his talent. P.S. I have a high regard for Mike Mayock. I know that there are people on this board who like to bash him and will cite to this guy or that guy. Yet, the "professionals" often get it wrong. Just go back and look at the players who were taken in the first round over the course of history. It is eye opening to look at that in retrospect.
  9. When I wrote "not a lot of people . . ." I was thinking of you as one of the few.
  10. You and I think alike. I had the same feeling of disappointment when we picked him. He turned out to be ok and not as bad a player as some thought, but there is no way he should have been picked in the first round let where we picked him. I wonder who Buddy would have picked at that spot. I presume Ngata or perhaps Cutler. Except for Kyle Williams, that draft was a waste for us.
  11. My thoughts exactly. I remember swearing at the TV when the Niners picked him just ahead of us -- just as I did when the Steelers picked Big Ben.
  12. Not a lot of people have mentioned Tommy Streeter, but I would like to see the Bills take him if he is available later in the draft. I love watching football - any kind including high school football. As many know, the high school football in South Florida is among the best in the country. A few years back, Northwestern High School had one of the better teams in the country. At the time, every one of the recruiting analysts was raving about one of their wide receivers by the name of Aldarius Johnson. I wanted to check him out (as well as some of the other players that UM was recruiting). I watched four of their games including the state championship game that Northwestern was in. In each game, the guy who impressed me the most was Tommy Streeter. The kid had size, speed, and very good hands. He also fit the description of what Buddy has characterized as someone who is open when he is not open. In any event, Streeter ended up going to Miami. He was a red shirt his freshman year and hardly played the next couple years until Al Golden and his staff came in and had a very good year this past year in Jedd Fisch's offense even though Jacory Harris was an average college QB at best. I am not saying that we should pick him in the first or second round given that he really only had one year when he played a lot albeit very well. Nevertheless, the kid seems to have all of the tools. He also ran a 4.4 at the combine. He is just under 6'5", 219 pounds, and benched 225 pounds 17 times. By comparison, Floyd (who a lot of people here like) is 6'3", 220 pounds, ran a 4.47, and benched 225 pounds 16 times. I am not saying that the Bills should take Streeter in the first round (as some people have them taking Floyd with the 10th pick) or second round. All I am saying that, if the Bills address other needs early and do not get someone like Blackmon or Floyd in the first round, there certainly is value (such as Streeter) later in the draft. Streeter had 46 receptions, a 17.6 average, and 8 TDs this past year. Depending on how Buddy and Chan evaluate him, he could be a good pick in the fourth round or thereabouts. He is raw and will have to improve the precision of his routes, but has upside especially given where he is likely to be taken in the draft. Just my two cents.
  13. Isn't this where people also start with the Howard has not been funny since . . . . I like both Rome and Howard (except when he has what I refer to as the circus acts on the show) to the extent that I have a chance to listen to either. As others have said, Rome does seem to like Buffalo.
  14. Totally agree. The only football I would follow would be of the college and rest of the world variety.
  15. Where did you get the video for each one of his games? That is probably something I would do at night after everyone goes to bed.
  16. That was a fun game. As others have said, I do not know which round he should go, but I do know that he can play. I would have no problem with the Bills picking him up to develop him.
  17. You are not the only one. There is no question that ND has a huge fan base around the country. I think that, in part because of that, ND players tend to be overrated just because they went to ND. Floyd might end up being great, but it has seemed for a very long time (as others have mentioned), that ND players get an ND bump.
  18. There is that.
  19. It looks like I really have to go to that Tempo restaurant the next time I am in Buffalo. People sure seem to like it.
  20. Shawn Merriman has a sense of humor about this Shawn Merriman's take on this.
  21. Also, the Titans were going after Manning and could not be in play for Mario at that time and would have gone after him hard otherwise.
  22. I will not say it, but I feel like I am in a dream. Speaking of dreams . . . Sofia . . . .
  23. Peyton and Williams are both pompous asses. I do not feel sorry for them at all.
