  1. Thanks Mario for the update. That would be great if this happens and would kill two birds with one stone -- upgrade our pass rush even further and hurt a division rival. P.S. It is amazing the love that Kelsay gets on this board. I feel bad for the guy. While not a star, he is a decent, lunch bucket player. Yet, he and a few others are the whipping boys on this board.
  2. Anyone know how Okoye and Mario got along when they played together?
  3. He changes the whole dynamic . . . oh, never mind.
  4. Jags take Lee Evans to Metro Diner [Look at reader post at end of article.] Not exactly the Mario Williams treatment. That pick Buddy got is looking better and better
  5. That really did remind me of Paul P. I cannot comment on the kid, because I honestly do not recall ever paying attention to him to make any honest assessment. I can say, however, that it appears that the NFL has de-valued both running backs and linebackers (particular inside linebackers). Kirk Morrison commented on this last week on Sirius. The thought is that, given that the NFL is a pass happy league, those positions are not as important as they were previously unless the particular player is effective for all three downs including in passing situations. Of course, there are exceptions to every rule. In any event, I am just throwing this out there. The issue becomes, is it worthwhile taking a linebacker with the first pick in the draft unless he can rush the passer or is effective in coverage. If you had the opportunity to pick a Ray Lewis or Patrick Willis with the 10th pick, you would go ahead and pick that player. If the linebacker is a Paul P. or someone like that, there is no way I would use a 10th pick in the draft on that player. Whoever we pick at 10, it should be someone who is going to be an impact player (whether it is this kid or someone else).
  6. You and I clearly disagree.
  7. If you follow this board at all, you know that it is more than just people thinking he gets hurt etc. There appears to be a personal animosity toward the guy. All I know is that the guys plays hard and has the ability to cut as few people do. I will leave it to Buddy and Chad to decide what if anything they want to do with Roscoe. If they decide to sign him to return kicks and be a slot receiver, I will have no issue with it.
  8. I like Roscoe. He is an exciting player. He also is not afraid to run routes over the middle. There are some people on this board who always have despised for whatever reason (where he was drafted, "gadget" player, etc). I fully appreciate that he has gotten hurt in the past. Nevertheless, I would have no problem whatsoever with the Bills bringing him back at the right price. At the right price, there is little risk. There is no doubt that he has skills as both a slot receiver and punt returner. I will defer to Buddy and Chan on this. Right now, it looks like they either have little intention of signing him or are just waiting for the market to settle and sign him at the right price. Just my two cents.
  9. Yes. I prefer it as the primary helmet. I like the white one as well, but the red is better. Just my two cents.
  10. I am a Miami Hurricane fan. We hate the Gators. Having said that, there is no reason to hate Tim Tebow. The guy obviously (at least now and perhaps forever) is not someone who you would want running your offense full time. He is, however, a guy that would run through a brick wall if you asked him to. He is a hard worker and, by all accounts, a good teammate. Given that, I would have no problem if the Bills picked him up -- on the cheap -- as a developmental guy who might come into the game on some packages. If Buddy and Chan were to see a role for him, I would defer to them.
  11. I don't think that they know any more than you or I know on this subject.
  12. You need to read my posts on this subject more carefully. I do not pretend to have any inside information on Lee Evans. None of the Lee Evans sycophants have any inside information either. Same response as above.
  13. Let's just hope that they stay healthy this year.
  14. Even if Schobel just came into the game in passing situations, it would make sense -- provided he can get himself in football shape.
  15. Is that the same Ozzie that just let him go after just one year? How do Paul Miller, Jim Racalto, or Joe B know any more than you or I do. He did not seem like a good teammate to me. It always seemed to me that he sulked after his friend was cut. If he were such a good teammate, maybe he would be as brave as little Roscoe going over the middle. Just my two cents. He was ok. He just was not the saint that some on this board think he was.
  16. It is probably a combination. He got sick because he could not publish the article he wrote about how the Bills blew it in free agency.
  17. Buddy said that he got a call about the SD offer to Meachem about 11:30 at night and told them (presumably Meachem's agent) he should go ahead and take it. Buddy is a straight shooter. I am happy he is our GM.
  18. When I saw Billick last night, it sounded like sour grapes for not getting the HC job.
  19. Buddy with Florio - Luke Russert later Buddy is on now. P.S. Another day having difficulty getting work done . . . .
  20. You are correct. I keep on reading about these old wives tales like what a great guy he was etc. It always seemed to me that he was bitching and moaning behind the scenes. I admittedly do not have any inside information on this. Yet, every time I have asked for someone to give me information to the contrary, no one is able to do so. It seems that people just have their own views of him depending on what their view of him is a receiver. Having said all that, I do know what he does and does not do on the field. Unless he somehow can prove that he is willing to run the routes that Chan wants his receivers to run, he has no business playing for the Bills. TO, on the other hand, is willing to run those routes. He also is a diva and can sulk as he seemed to do when he was here. Yet, I think that we have the leaders in place to keep him in line. Plus, the guy is desperate right now.
  21. If he is in shape and wants to work, why the hell not.
  22. FWIW, Cards re-signed Levi Brown. That is one less team interested in D. Bell.
