  1. Keep in mind that Bill Parcell's draft board grades guys on talent and then has a red flag for various issues including character. The board that was posted did not show the red flags that, believe me, were on the board for various players that were on the ESPN show .
  2. In his interview, he mentioned covering AJ and Julio Jones. How did he do against them?
  3. Welcome, and thank you for your insights.
  4. You might want to listen to his interview on bb.com.
  5. I also was looking at that and enjoyed the ESPN show with both Bills.
  6. I agree. Our coverage will be a lot better now that we have a pass rush. They go hand and hand. We also upgraded our defensive backfield.
  7. I agree. I am not saying that Floyd is a bad player, but ND players always seem to have an inflated value (not to mention his red flags).
  8. Billy B. is better at coaching and strategizing than drafting -- although he always seems to have a lot of picks (presumably to improve the odds).
  9. One thing that seems to be a constant is that the Bills (under Buddy) try to take high character guys -- especially with the higher picks. Having now read a lot about Gilmore since just after 9:00 p.m. , the pick does not surprise me at all. He was a good pick . The only other guy I had a conviction on was Kalil, and he was long gone. I also could have seen Kuechly as a possibility, but he obviously also was gone. There was no need to reach for OT. There was no need to take a wr with question marks at 10 when this, by most accounts, is a deep wr draft. Just my two cents.
  10. Nervous/shy/serious. Not unhappy.
  11. Didn't we already have a guy like that who now plays for the Jaguars?
  12. I do not know if someone else has posted this, but in addition to creating a market for themselves, I wonder if the Bills may be baiting the Cowpokes or someone else to actually trade above them to take Barron so that some other player falls to the Bills. I love the draft and all the strategy that goes on. Who knows what they want or what is going to happen. I cannot wait for Thursday night.
  13. I enjoyed it - as I usually do with Buddy. Don't forget though that Buddy has said that it is not a sin to lie at draft time.
  14. I watched Russell Wilson on Gruden's QB Camp show last night. I had already been impressed with him. I am even more impressed with him. He is very intelligent. He is a leader. He is a player. He had to learn the Wisconsin offense -- which is completely different from the NC State offense -- in about a month. Gruden tested him on all of that and the kid just impressed. He also was dealing with the death of his father all at the same time. I do not know where he should be picked -- I will leave that to Buddy. Nevertheless, I would be excited if the Bills had the opportunity to draft him and groom him under Fitz. I would recommend anyone who is interested to watch the Gruden QB Camp with RW.
  15. I am undecided about drafting Floyd. Nevertheless, how do we know that the Bills did not already interview him at the combine or pro day? I am sure they are doing their homework or have done their homework. Perhaps, because they already have done their homework, they have him rated highly or he is completely off their board. Who knows. As I have said in another post, however, the Bills (under Nix) appear to make it a point to draft/sign character guys. If they have questions about his character (and I am not saying they do), it would not surprise me if they have taken him off their board. We will have a significant investement in whomever we draft at 10.
  16. Jason Peter's getting hurt screwed this whole thing up for us. We would have had much more flexiblity in the draft if we had been able to re-sign him. I would love to know what the Bills actually offered him (rather than conjecture). Where is Nevergiveup?
  17. Um, let's see . . . which of the three is presently a member of a team . . . .
  18. The only problem would be that he might have some of the girls wear the goofy sweaters he likes to wear.
  19. No, as far as I know, he does not. His company may owe money, but that is why you incorporate.
  20. Roscoe gave it his all. Because of his size, he always was an underdog. I always thought that being from Buffalo meant having a soft spot in your heart for underdogs. The guy was exciting and, unlike one former Bill's receiver who continues to be unsigned, has no problem going over the middle. I never understood the hate for Roscoe by some on this board. I know that people love to mention that he has been hurt a lot. Yet, given his stature and the way he plays the game without fear, I give him a lot of credit. Just because Eric Wood has had issues getting hurt, does that mean I should treat him as some have treated Roscoe here. I wish Roscoe nothing but the best - except when he plays the Bills.
  21. The sad thing is that, if Peters had not gotten hurt, we probably would have been able to re-sign him and for a lot less. It sucks that a healthy Jason Peters or D. Bell is not our left tackle right now. Instead, we will need to address this critical position yet again -- while serving as the freaking Eagles' minor league team for developing left tackles.
  22. He was an exciting player when he played and fearless across the middle.
