  1. Some here and elsewhere have speculated about the reasons why the Bills traded up to pick TJ Graham. Mike Mularkey was on Sirius NFL radio Wednesday. Among the things he was asked was why the Jaguars picked the punter in the third round. Mularkey basically stated that the Jaguars were going to pick someone else who was picked just before them so they went with the punter out of Cal who was high on their board. He did not say specifically that it was pick immediately before their pick, but it certainly could have been. In any event, I thought that this was interesting and certainly adds credence to why the Bills traded the extra seventh round pick to move ahead of the Jaguars. It also adds credence to the thought that other teams had Graham rated as highly as we did. I thought that some of you may be interested in the above.
  2. Chan is probably best able to determine who fits his offense.
  3. All I want to know is whether they plan on taking him to Tempo after the workout?
  4. After reading this 16 page thread, I guess we are all in agreement then . . . .
  5. I sent you a PM. I have season tickets and will not be able to go to various games this year (I live in Miami). My tickets are around the 45 yard line on the visitor's side in the lower bowl.
  6. I think that pretty much everyone in the world knows that he is being brought in to back up Fitz. I think that the amount of any contract they may offer him and his agent will amply demonstrate that - especially in comparison to the amount of money the Bills are paying Fitz.
  7. I do. I have forgiven him.
  8. Let's see, he was undrafted in 2003. He played for the Sioux City Bandits (albeit not Victoria's Secrets) from 2004-2005. He then played for the Rhein Fire for a year in the WLAF. My guess is that, while the competition was not Adriana Lima, it also was not the NFL. Thus, my comment about Fred having fewer "miles" than he would have otherwise. Just my two cents.
  9. As I said in another thread, even though he is a Gator, I would not mind if the Bills brought him in to see what he has left. He is around 6'1"/6'2" and has been productive in recent years -- even with the Redskins.
  10. You think it is the same?!?
  11. That is a good point. If I recall correctly, Brad's wife is a Ph.D. Brad married well. Do you remember how he ran against the Bills?
  12. Did we bring him in?
  13. I love Fred. I want him to end his career with the Bills. The only issue that he has is his age and the market for running backs in this day and age. On the flip side, he has a lot fewer miles on him and is a high character guy and team leader.
  14. I think that you are correct. I also think that the owner wanted him as well.
  15. Thanks for the story about Stevie in HS. 80 yard QB draw. Very cool.
  16. Harbaugh now has "clarified" his comments. Harbaugh - Patriots and Saints earned SBs
  17. I don't think that bringing in Vince Young means we have to cut Brad Smith. By the way, Stephon Gilmore also was a QB in high school. Delta Sonic? By the way, the next time I am in Buffalo, I really have to check out Tempo.
  18. Whether we take him to Tempo will tell us what the Bills think of him.
  19. The guy has had his issues. Yet, keep in mind that he is not being brought in to start. He single-handedly beat USC in the National Championship game. He was rookie of the year. He can run. As I said earlier, he has skills that Chan certainly can maximize in our offense. As far as the locker room is concerned, I think we have a darn good locker room (Buddy and Chan seem to intentionally go after high character, intelligent guys). I am sure that the locker room can handle Vince Young. I also think that our locker room and atmosphere would be good for Vince Young. In the end, there is absolutely nothing to lose.
  20. The guy no doubt has some skills. I also think that Chan would be able to maximize those skills.
  21. I think that we should definitely bring her in for a look see.
  22. Buddy said a long time ago that they would address this before training camp.
  23. Jabar Gaffney was apparently released by the Redskins. He has been fairly productive and is 6'1" or 6'2". Although he is a Gator, I would not mind if the Bills at least brought him in to see if he still has anything that could help us.
  24. I wonder if Mrs. Favre asked the judge to force Brett to testify.
  25. Yes, someone else did point this out. I am presuming that a producer put together the clips. I would be surprised if Mayock does his own video editing. It was a mistake, but I presume that his evaluation was not based on that one single play from the senior bowl practice. Whether he was right or wrong, Mayock is still very, very good at what he does. He also thinks that Glenn is a hell of a player. Evaluating potential draftees - in the NFL, NHL, MLB etc. -- is a tricky business. There are hits and misses. It is eye opening to look back at previous drafts of the first round in every sport in see names of guys in the first round that never amounted to anything or you barely remember and then think back to how people thought how great some of these guys would be. Back to the original point - Mayock will make mistakes (just like the guys that are paid a whole bunch of money to evaluate talent for teams). Nevertheless, it is obvious he puts in a lot of work and his opinion is credible. Whether we have a left tackle or a guard, we seem to have a very good player in Glenn. I trust Buddy and his team. It is now up to Glenn (and the coaches) to prove what kind of player he is and what position he will play.
