Mario Says Dolphins D is "That Much Sweeter" for Him

With the addition of Tunsil and Bushrod all 5 OL spot look solid On Paper. Plus Gase should be a big upgrade. -
Your honest prediction for the Bills record this year
Reks Ryan replied to Spurna's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pretty fair analysis of the offense and the schedule. Although I think "us against the world" and generally getting hyped for outside motivations is overrated in the NFL. Ever team has their own reasons to prove everyone wrong. It might carry a game here or there, but ultimately the more talented better coached teams will prevail over the course of a season. With the continuity of the O and a full year experience for Tyrod. I believe he will his performance maybe a bit better than avg. top 1/2 of QBS in the league. But with so many questions on the D, he will likely need to be a top 5 QB in the AFC for the Bills to reach the playoffs. I might disagree that the Bills are more talented than the fish. The 2 franchises have been equally and similarly dysfunctional over the last 15 years. IMO Bills have the current roster edge at RB, DB, and Fish at DL other position groups are toss up depending on injuries. Really will come down to if Tannehill can improve enough under Gase compared to Tyrod and year 2 under Roman. Important b/c Bills will probably need to sweep Miami to make playoffs. I voted 7 - 9. To have a chance at 10 - 6 and playoffs, it looks like the team would need a start of 5- 2 or better before that tough 6 game stretch. -
Glen Gronkowski: "A Dream Come True"

Very cool to see the local boy make it. Let's see if he can contribute. He should get some action in Roman's offense -
All the Cuts in one place...
Reks Ryan replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A lot of guys are a surprise to see make the 53. J. Lattimore, Albright, Humber, J. Meeks. C. Anderson, R. Groy (probably the worst on our 53), N. Oleary, Gronkowski. Don't think those 8 guys would make the roster of too many other teams in the league. -
Both good calls, but I think Goodwin will hold on for the Percy Harvin roll. Quick elusive receiver who makes some plays in the first few weeks, then gets hurt and goes on IR. Robey Coleman is on the fence. Brandon Spikes is another close call
-
Yes timing doesn't make sense if it was performance based. Hard to believe that a few preseason practices override his performance last season. He is not going to take up a roster spot the first 4 games. It would not be unprecedented for the Bills to be hit with a rash of early season injuries at RB. Lets hope we're not bringing up Karlos name in week 5 or 6 looking for RB depth. Probably another incident or at least bad attitude. Disappointing, but at some point coaches and management need to make a stand.

Who helped and hurt their case tonight?
Reks Ryan replied to Big C's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was impressed with A. Washington. Actually all the rookie draft picks who suited up played well. Jones, Williams, Seymour. Maybe not a disastrous draft after all? Hawthorne came to play. Made some big hits, but also missed tackles. Spikes looked bad. Hopefully will improve once rust wears off. Most of backup LBs and DBs don't look like NFLers. Could end up with a couple of our final 53 LBs and maybe a DB that are cuts from another team -
Video Breakdown: Greg Roman's Run Concepts

In those clips Felton was extremely effective, both in choosing the right man and executing the block. Due to Roman's complicated schemes, Baby Gronk is a long shot to make the team. At the end of last I was in the camp with those wondering why Felton is on the roster. -

The Writing is On The Walls. Bye, bye Bills
Reks Ryan replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Can't we turn this into a more optimistic, Tyrod is too small.runs too much and EJ is the most inaccurate back up in the history of the NFL thread? Or Better yet, Rex defense is so complicated and our guys can't communicate debate -

Ranking ALL Buffalo Bill QB's who have started ONE Game

Interesting list. Shows you why the Bills have lost more than they've won. Bruce Matheson was pretty bad, should be below JP. Lamonica should go up several spots. -
RD 1, Pick 19: DE Shaq Lawson, Clemson University

Would have preferred Darron Lee. Disappointed to see him go to Jets. Shaq is a good pick. Legit 1st round talent -
Stephon Gilmore: "I Know I’m an Elite Corner."
Reks Ryan replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The game clinching INT against the Titans was a great play. He peeled off his man, absolutely destroyed Wright who had beaten Roby deep and made the pick. Without that play, The Titans have 1st down near FG range and likely win. Thought it was one of best individual plays by Bills all year. -
The Bills best draft pick ever.
Reks Ryan replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thurman. Great value and he was the player that made that offense go from very good to the best in a league over a 5-year period. Always ranked as top 3 NFL offense in TT's first 5 seasons -
Are we actually considering Harvin????
Reks Ryan replied to Niagara Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The problem is not only the money, it's also a roster spot. If he signs and stays healthy through pre-season he is on the opening day roster. But once he gets hurt he will have wasted a spot that could go to a young prospect or a contributing player. Percy was terrific in the first month of the season. The Fish could absolutely not cover him on 3rd down in that early season game. But, he's just too unreliable to waste a roster spot, even at a reduced contract. I am tired of watching meaningless December games with 15 guys that weren't on the opening day roster. Why sign up for a guy that you can almost guarantee will not finish the season. -
Teams should get a cap break for re-signing their own

Just be glad we aren't in the same boat as Denver re: Von Miller, Brock Osweiller, and Peyton Manning. They could end up losing both quarterbacks and overpaying a LB that could blow a drug test and lose significant playing time I would love it if we were in Denver's boat. Buffalo would still be celebrating the Super Bowl and wouldn't be so bad to worry about losing our hall of fame QB vs. a promising young QB. -
Your a great sports fan. And have excellent taste. I am so happy not to have to listen to 2 weeks of Tom Brady love and hearing that he can eclipse Montana. Thank you Denver!

why would anyone attend next weeks game?
Reks Ryan replied to HerdMenatlity1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm in the same boat. Going to the game with my Dad and some friends who I don't see that often. Also taking my daughter. I live Out of state and will be my first chance to go to the Ralph this year. Hugely Disappointing season. Really thought they would still be alive for playoffs going in to the last 2 games. But disappointing seasons never stopped me from rooting for the Bills before. -
Well said. Disappointing, Infuriating, and frustrating that D game plan still did not adapt as the season went on.

I was at the "Just Give it to em" game. I've watched a lot of football games and don't remember seeing a PI called on a complete jump ball last second Hail Mary, before or since that game. After those 2 horrible calls on patriots* last drive, walking out of the stadium , one of my friends just kept saying, "but it's not fair that wasn't right." Must have said it 25 times in disbelief. Watching NE games in almost 20 years since then, all NFL fans have said the same thing numerous times. Don't know if it's a conspiracy, but it's definitely not right. From the tone of Gruden's voice, he knew exactly what he was saying, Remember, he was on the other end of one of the all time screw jobs in playoff history on the Brady sack fumble.

A lesson in team building... from the Bengals.
Reks Ryan replied to BrooklynBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Very good summary. The Bengals are on the path for a 5th straight playoff appearance. So far this year they are one of the top 5 teams in NFL. Who knows how it will go when they get to the playoffs. They certainly appear to have a shot to make the Super Bowl. The way the league is structured, it's unlikely for any team to be in the conference championship / Super Bowl for a 4 - 5 year stretch, Unless you're cheating. To me a "Model Franchise" is a team that puts together a nucleus of key players, including the QB, and stable coaching staff to compete for the playoffs year in and year out for a 5 - 10 year stretch. And have the top end talent to make a Super Bowl run at some point within a prolonged period of success. The Bengals have yet to make a run in the playoffs, but they have made the moves to be in position to do so. Other teams who have followed the 3 points in YOLO's post over past 5 -10 years. Packers, Giants, Ravens, Steelers, and Seahawks. Super Bowl is not guaranteed for any team. Until the Bills follow the basics of good scouting, stable system, and commitment to QB our playoff drought will continue.
