  1. I agree. I think he’ll continue to get better as a passer as he sees more defenses. His biggest problem as a passer is inconsistency imo.
  2. Awesome- do you go to a bunch of home games?
  3. I think every season is made up of 3-4 mini seasons. This season has been no different- Mini season 1- week 1 through Green Bay halftime. Dominance with one set back due to injury and luck. Injuries Mini season 2- 2nd half of Green Bay through the Vikings game. What happened to our QB? Can Dorsey handle being OC? More injuries Mini season 3- cleveland through now. Perseverance required. Perseverance, check. Building blocks for the SB run. No more Von Miller, time for other to step up. 4 games left- who knows if there will be another (or multiple) mini season(s) to end the year or if mini season 3 continues to roll along…. I can’t wait to find out!!
  4. Where do you live Grundles? Where from originally?
  5. Good post. Makes sense. It always seemed a lot easier for us to get 5 yards on 1st down throwing a quick pass to Cole than running the ball. And for w/e reason, we can’t seem to have any success on Passes to the rb unless it’s a wide open hot read I bring up 3rd down catches for 2 reasons: -It seems as if our pass catchers, in general, drop a lot of balls on 3rd down and end drives, although that could just be me remembering what hurts the most- - along the same lines- selective memory, remembering what I enjoyed most and that’s Cole catching drive extending 1st downs-
  6. Man to man coverage in a league playing 75% zone- bring on the man to man, everyone else will eat. I got a $1000 on the over
  7. I agree it gives “an advantage”. It’s just not seen as 3 points by the sports books anymore
  8. And, most importantly, he’ll be trusted by 17 to catch the ball.
  9. I don’t believe that to be the case anymore. I had a talk with one of my buddies who is bets sports for a living. He thinks that 3-3.5 has changed in the last couple years and it’s more like 1-1.5 in most cases now.
  10. Maybe a bit, but we have Milano
  11. Thanks- he doesn’t look bad Sit him vs the bears or the pats- I don’t think it’s that big of a deal Can he catch the ball on 3rd down? That’s all that matters.
  12. Agreed. i think we’ll stop the Miami run game but I also think the Miami D will stop our run game. I think Miami has one advantage in that McDaniels >>>>> Dorsey. i think we have 2 advantages: playing at home and in the cold and 17 is a tank. I see a tightly contested game, but we run away from them at the end 97-9 Bills.
  13. I’d love to get involved in a dynasty league. I’ve been running fantasy leagues since 1988 when I’d add up the scores using the USA Today box scores, but dynasty leagues seem like a lot of work- I’d rather have someone else run it. I love the thought of a rookie draft. there are not rookie drafts in any of my leagues- of the 3 I’m in, one is a standard (No keeper), one is a keeper (keep your best player regardless of round chosen, it’s lame) and the best is a keeper where you keep a player based on round drafted. The round based keeper has much more strategy. Round value is everything. It leads to some lopsided trades once teams give up but it rewards those that know how to draft and project.
  14. It was supposed to be sarcasm
  15. No one cares- but in the spirit of the thread I’m in 3 12 team leagues- 1st round bye in 2 league Clinched a playoff spot in the other, but playoffs don’t start til the following week. I have one of the best team I’ve ever assembled in one of my keepers leagues due to a trade- each team keeps one player in the rd they were drafted (rd goes up 1 each year and can be kept for max 3 years) I traded: Deandre Hopkins (6th round keeper) Jameson Williams (15th round keeper) for Davante Adam (1st rd keeper) Ja’Marr Chase (4th rd keeper) James Cook (not keeper eligible as he was dropped earlier in the season) not a fair trade you say? I traded with a team that wasn’t making the playoffs, so dude was looking to add the best keeper he could for next year. Jameson Williams as a last rd keeper is gold. Hopkins is dam good in the 6th as well (but he can only keep 1). Lineup- Qb- Josh Allen (4th round) rb- Nick Chubb (2nd rd) rb- Saquon Barkley (1st rd 12th overall) wr- Stefon Diggs (was my 3rd round keeper, initially 5th rd in 2020) wr- davante Adams (trade) TE- Njoku/Kmet (waiver fodder) flex- Ja’Marr Chase (trade) flex- choice of James Cook, Jeff Wilson, Josh Palmer. the other teams are good, but no one cares so I’ll end my fantasy LAMP post here.
  16. You said he’s shown nothing as a passer- My rebuttal: he led the league in TDs passes. Name another Terrible passer that has led the NFL in TD passes. He has most definitely “shown something as a passer”. But make stuff up to suit your agenda. put him in a heavy passing offense and he’ll fail. Of course he’d fail. He’s not a “great passer”. No one is saying he’s great. It’s 2023 - it’s not 1978- QBs run now. He just so happens to be the best running qb ever. Putting him in a pass heavy offense would be stupid because it would limit his abilities. last point- You’re arguing the fact that someone called him a “pretty good qb”- you’re arguing that…..”pretty good qb”. He’s 45-16 as a starter……but he’s not pretty good? More crack. You need it
  17. Did you really just post his YPC from 4 catches? To prove a point? Bwhahahahaha
  18. Ha. His “Josh Allen is trash” gimmick needs to stop though. Dude is all over the place- Tua sucks, Tua is god, Tua sucks, Skylar Thompson is god, skylar Thompson sucks, Tua is god, Tua sucks.
  19. Shown nothing? Leading the league in TD passes with 6 Ints isn’t “nothing”. he’s not a great passer, but he’s a pretty good QB- only the haters/delusional would disagree.
  20. I didn’t say he looked finished—- but I definitely thought his play dropped off dramatically. Maybe all this time off allowed his body to heal up and he’s got some juice. i like the pickup. It makes total sense. We’ve missed him
  21. nay Sorry. You asked.
  22. Dunno what this has to do with the Miami game……but I’m with ya. I think there’s more than a sliver of hope that he plays this year. Not likely, but more than a 25% chance. Hamlins has been an adequate backup but Hyde is superior I can digg it
  23. Interesting comp. Minus the 30 pounds, I like it. For a sub 200 lb wr, he’s strong. I think Wilson has more explosiveness/quickness - while brown more physical. But that’s before and after the catch. I really like the comparison with the ball in the air. I see Antonio Brown and Torry Holts love child. Looks special
  24. No, I don’t think they’ll replace Davis with Brown. little to no chance imo
