  1. I didn’t say he was an unknown…… i don’t think it’s cherry picking, rather you are putting words in my mouth. I stand by my original. Diggs wasn’t a superstar until he got Josh. He had it in him. He was an elite player…..but his QB and offense didn’t allow him to accumulate the stats that comes along with being a superstar.
  2. I didn’t say he wasn’t a stud. I said he wasn’t regarded as a superstar. He wasn’t on anyone top 5. He wasn’t all pro. He didn’t even make ONE pro bowl prior to Josh Allen. And that was with a good QB in Kirk Cousins. This conversation is discussing the jets QBs for the last couple years. Bums look at any websites stating their top 5 WRs after the 2017, 2018 or 2019 seasons. You won’t find him anywhere. Now……he’s on everyone’s top 5 list. you’re proving my point for me btw. Diggs was always a stud….but he wasn’t a super star until he had the qb and the offense that allowed it to come to fruition.
  3. Based on what they’ve done with the QBs they were gifted with, you’re right, there is no world where berrios and Mims are as good as gabe. I said “every WR on the jets MIGHT be as good as gabe”. I didn’t say they were as good or better. With an actual QB…..they’ll have an opportunity. Bijan Robinson isn’t as good as Latavious Murray based on what he’s done in the NFL. But we know he’s much better…he just hasn’t proved it yet. a Wr can only be as good as his QB and offense allows him. Ask Diggs, who wasn’t a superstar until he was paired with Josh. MVS is one of the worst WRs I’ve ever seen. Yet one of the best GMs gave him 10M a year because he played with Aaron Rodgers. My point was….the jets have good to great playmakers. Right…..because of Josh…..and Diggs being bracketed all game. I left him out because Diggs cancels him in my interpretation
  4. i think you’re confused. The jets are loaded with playmakers. They just haven’t had a qb that can utilize them properly. Diggs is better than every wr on the jets- every other WR on the jets might be better than Gabe. WR- davis, moore, berrios and Mims. The only reason davis is a more popular commodity is because he plays with Josh. TE- We have a higher paid TE, but uzomah, Conklin and Reichert is a very solid TE unit. RB- I’ll take ours with Breece out. But I’ll take the Jets with a healthy Hall. The jets playmakers are absolutely on the Bills level, if not better. Diggs is the outlier…..but Wilson looks like he’s going to ascend to elite status for the next 10 years plus.
  5. That’s what I was thinking. Building a stadium in time for the game Sunday might be a bit much, but building some sort of dome over the current stadium should be possible, no? if every household donated their Saran Wrap, I bet they could McGyver a dome out of it and keep the elements out
  6. Then just line up Diggs on the right side or in the slot. Sauce doesn’t travel.
  7. Yeah could be….. I hope so. He’s got some exciting rac in him
  8. Yeah, I don’t get it. Has to be one of two things, or a combination of both. -he makes mental errors that aren’t obvious to fans. -McD and Dorsey love and believe in Dirty. He’s put in his time and has flashed the playmaking we’re looking for. Maybe they believe he can be consistent.
  9. You think he comes off the bench? I think he’ll be starting. Last game he played 61% of the snaps Rousseau 63% Basham 39% Epenesa 37%
  10. I really do hope so. Maximize their potential and win a title or maximize their guaranteed money. That is the question. Yup. Those guys taking less to stay year after year would cement them in history if we were to win a SB with them. Maybe we could put them on the wall of fame as Shaq Phillips
  11. I was going to start a Shaq appreciation thread this morning. Glad this was bumped. His 1 year 1.1M contract turned out to be the best value signing of the offseason. I thought of him as a 5th DL that would only be active due to injury. Turns out he’s been our 3rd best DE and should get 55%+ of the snaps for the remainder of the season. He’s made a handful of huge plays for us this season. With neither AJ or Boogie showing vast improvement (yet), I would hope we look to bring him back again next season. The question is, at what price? I doubt 1 for 1.1M is going to cut it again. I envision both he and Jordan leaving for “greener” pastures next year as it’ll be their last time to try and cash in on anything other than 1 year deals. but I hope we can retain both.
  12. Unfortunately, neither of them are on 2 year deals- 2 big holes for next year.
  13. Talking to two of my jets friends, Knight might as well be the second coming of Curtis Martin and just as good as Breece Hall
  14. Ask questions that have a chance of being answered…… that’s what reporters should do you want them to ask questions that everyone knows WON’T be answered….. just so they can do their job and waste time during a short PC. On todays episode of the Karen Couch Reporter: Karen: “how long will Jordan Phillips be out coach?” Coach: ”we’ll take it one day at a time” Karen: “thanks for the detailed explanation coach. Next episode we’ll ask about tactics so you can not say anything. Again”
  15. Then you guys should apply. If not one of them is doing their job, they’ll be fired. Replace them, ask the questions that won’t be answered and leave this gibberish off the board. how about you guys make a thread dedicated to reporters. Or maybe build a website where all the Karen couch reporters can cry about how every team reporter sucks because they don’t ask tactical questions that the coach won’t ask…..wasting 1 of the 4 minutes reporters have to ask questions.
  16. The purpose of a PC isn’t to talk about anything tactically. That would be STUPID. The opponents can listen too….. this is getting ridiculous. Take some meds No, you’re the guy who cries, just about everyday, about the reporters not asking tactical questions that the coach will never answer because he’s not an idiot, like some. you ask the same question every day and every day, people answer your stupid question with the correct answer. Somehow, it’s yet to sink in. this is not rocket science.
  17. Lol. You’re insufferable. They don’t ask, because they know the answer. Just like every bills fan on earth knows the answer. Except you. “We’ll take it one day at a time”.
  18. That will up to John Brown. If Brown stays healthy and shows he can still play, I doubt we see him until OTA’s 2023.
  19. Milano? Poyer? edmunds? Tre’Davious? Taron? and yes, Rousseau and Oliver. To me, the key is Rousseau taking the next step. He was good last year and has been dominant at times this year. He looked great vs the pats after coming back from a high ankle sprain. He is better than Jerry was last year. Our DTs are much better than last year. Edmunds is much better than last year. Milano was good, but now he’s the best in the business. Poyer is doing Poyer things. Tredavious is back after a year. Losing Hyde is big, but when comparing this years d to last users D, I think this years is better. Even without Von. Our O just has to continue to develop and hit stride come the playoffs like last year.
  20. Expect to see more Shaq than epenesa imo.
  21. When you have the worst pass blocking line in the league, you can most definitely put PART of the blame on his protection. If Tua played the season without Teron Armstead we wouldn’t be talking about him being MVP. Trust
