I thought he had the physical ability to be the best qb ever. Best arm I had ever seen. I was right. I was scared by his wide eyed facial expressions. Because of those facial expressions, he reminded me of a huge 15 year old kid that might be not be ready to swim in the deep end. I thought he’d probably drown unless he was developed intricately. I thought he had about a 4% chance of reaching his potential if he was drafted and developed by the Bills based on the previous 20ish years.

It’s the plays that he’s leaving on the field that is the issue He’s currently 190 out of 199 in catch% @ 52%- not all his fault- but a lot falls on him He is tied for the league lead in drops with 6. He’s tied with Diggs who has over 2x the targets. He’s a solid WR and I’m glad he’ll be on the team trough his rookie contract but I don’t know if he’ll be worth his next contract. Especially if someone other than 17 is throwing him the ball. it’s ok to say that your disappointed with a players performance and still love the player. I love Gabe, but he hasn’t been what I was hoping for this season. There’s still time to turn that around

A defenseless receiver is different than a Rb carrying the ball seeing what is coming and is at greater risk. If the rb is blindsided and destroyed there’s still a chance that there’s a flag for unnecessary roughness. I give hamlin credit for making a perfectly timed and (very close to) a perfectly positioned hit.

Worth 2 void years? Void years just allow us to spread the contract out over time instead of this and next year. I have no clue if he’s “worth it” because I didn’t state a price and I have no idea how good he’ll be. If he’s as good as he was last season I suppose I’d be ok paying him 6M next season. Was initially hoping to sign him for the remainder of the year for minimal money but that’s not really an option anymore imo. It’ll be a roll of the dice no matter what.

He has been the whipping boy and there was some reason for it. Many takes were extreme exaggerations, but his level of play the last few years Wasn’t what it’s been this year. He’s improved I’m sure the improved DL has made things easier, but he just seems to be playing faster this year. His processing has improved
