  1. Agree on all points minus Allens slump. I hope so, but I think part of his slump has to do with Dorsey and the OL.
  2. It surely didn’t last season. Prior to last season, Beane had drafted 1 CB, Dane Jackson in last round. They showed they were ok starting corners that possessed zone experience and attributes over physical attributes. they had shown that CB was not a position they preferred. Yet drafted a one in rd 1.
  3. Meanwhile we’ve never drafted a S before rd 6 since he’s been here. it wasn’t ignored. It wasn’t filled how you (or I) wanted it to be filled. Crowder, Mckenzie and Shakir were added. Cook was supposed to add more help. They took the value route @WR so they could fix the defense that got destroyed 2 seasons in a row to end each season. If the D ever gets healthy, we’ll find out if they made the right choice. Our d is suffering because of injury. Not talent.
  4. No….but they mean everything RIGHT NOW…… while we’re having the conversation about the current team…… which is what we’re talking about….. I said we have to fix our offense…..so this conversation will hopefully mean in january
  5. We played the Lions- the worst scoring D in the league. The Browns - the 3rd worst scoring D in the league. And Packers- tied for the 10th worst scoring D in the league (and gave up almost 400 yards of rushing O last night). do you watch the games? Do you think our offense looks good? See above No….but they mean everything RIGHT NOW…… while we’re having the conversation about the current team…… which is what we’re talking about….. I said we have to fix our offense…..so this can mean nothing in January.
  6. Good post- I agree. I don’t spend time worrying about losing. When I read the board and I see posters stating that it’s laughable to think about missing the playoffs, I disagree and sparked a discussion…..on a message board. We have a tough schedule. We have a lot of injuries. We just lost an elite defensive player (which leaves us with one good DE, who has been hurt too). Our QB doesn’t look nearly as good as he did prior to the Bye. We have concerns and missing the playoffs isn’t out of the realm of possibility.
  7. Thanks for the info. How about break down the last 4 games instead? Weeks 1 and 2 mean nothing right now. What have you done for me lately @Gugny? Our offense has been sputtering if you haven’t noticed. The steelers were 11-0 in 2020. The cardinals were 7-0 in 2021. Meant nothing because they sucked down the stretch.
  8. What’s our record again? How many games has Jesse Bates missed? Von Bell? Trey Hendrickson? Pratt? Hilton? Micah parsons? Trevon Diggs? Demarcus Lawrence? Vander esche? WHO has been injured is a big part of why we’ve lost the games we’ve lost. Especially when you look at the specific plays that won and lost each game.
  9. Poyer missed the Miami L and Jets L and Vikings L. In 2 of the losses (Miami and Minny), his replacement was torched for a game changing play that he likely would’ve prevented. Milano missing the jets game broke our defense. Bernard got destroyed. the quality of players missed = everything I’d venture to say that if Milano and Poyer hadn’t missed any games, we’d be undefeated. that said…..our offense needs to fix itself or we won’t win the SB
  10. Best opportunity to play with an elite qb- not the best opportunity to get paid
  11. i still think you have no clue McDuffie made no sense for this team. He didn’t make much sense for the chiefs either. Now they have 2 possibly great slot corners and zero potentially great outside corners. Both he and Sneed are best suited inside.
  12. Let’s pretend that every human on earth is equal.
  13. i understand. I don’t think it’s likely, but injuries and the current state of our O leaves the door open for some upsets.
  14. I had a 97% chance to win a fantasy matchup tonight- then I went against Josh Jacobs and Christian Watson. Lost by 3. we will most likely make the playoffs. I don’t think it would take much to really screw us up. Say dawkins has a high ankle sprain and he’s out the next 3 games- Rousseau misses the next 2- von is out for the next 3- No Von, Dawkins and Rousseau we could conceivably lose the next 3 games and be 0-5 in the division. Unlikely….. but I wouldn’t be shocked. All 3 teams are solid.
  15. I just wouldn’t assume that 10-7 gets us in- could be tie breakers- look at the pats and chargers schedules both teams have 4 possible wins. Don’t get me wrong- I think we’ll get in, but I just don’t think a playoff bid is guaranteed. There’s always a chance for more injuries and referees blowing games for us. Our offense needs to show they can get back to business
  16. My nominee for post of the month!
  17. Do you really think there’s zero% chance we miss the playoffs if Von Miller is out for the regular season? our schedule isn’t easy, we have major players injured, including our all world QB and our OC doesn’t have our offense firing on all cylinders. Dawkins might miss a game or few.
  18. Imagine how bad we would regress if Diggs missed the rest of the year and got suspended for peds the first half of next year? We’d probably trade our first rd pick for Hollywood brown. Losing Hopkins was devastating. Other massive contributing factors- Kyler just doesn’t have the mentality to be an elite qb- jmo from my couch. kingsbury is out of his league. bleh OL- bleh D
  19. And the lack of development from AJ and Boogie has us in a spot where Jerry would be a major addition. Shaq has been better than both by a wide margin according to my eye the last 8 weeks
  20. Doesn’t have much to do with AJ being bad. He’s our 3rd DE - 37% of the snaps will be going up with von out and maybe Rousseau bother week or 2. He’ll be on the field for several important plays. He’s smack talk relevant imo.
  21. Meanwhile we’re starting boogie and Shaq @DE. we need a pass rusher badly if von is out for the regular season
  22. Same as usual. 1 of 1 Texans getting pressure And always has been.
