Agreed. he had some success catching the ball 5 catches 50+ yards and a TD. Running the ball, he resembled the great Reggie Bush. 6 rushes -3 yards. he had no chance when he took a handoff. I would bet that some of the blame would fall on the play calling. Not just poor OL. Every game is a chess match between OCs and DCs. It’s not just players making plays. The SB window is open and we’re rolling the dice with a guy that “might” be a good OC/ play caller. No one knows if he’s good. He wasn’t last year Imo. Not saying he’s bad either. Just the jury is still out on a coaching position that is vital to teams succeeding. Especially with a defensive HC.

Dorsey didn’t even try and incorporate what he had. Going into the offseason, adding a RB with plus receiving ability and RAC was a big priority. So much so, they offered JD McKissic 2 year 7M. Word is chase Edmonds almost signed here before Miami. So Beane drafts cook. The best receiving rb in the class. We clearly wanted to build up our short game. Teams want to take away Diggs and play the shell would now pay because we could hit the short pass and take it for 6-12 yards. That’s what we all expected. great idea. too bad it was just an idea in our and Beanes head. Dorsey didn’t use the backs to the best their abilities. But you’re entitled to your opinion

If we keep Hines on that contract I’ll throw up in my mouth. I like him, but not at that price tag especially with Dorsey calling plays. I don’t know if Ken has the vision to use him properly. He clearly had no clue this year, which was really disappointing

Not full nuclear….but we had way more airtime than at team in the league. How many chiefs were on the Mcafee show this year? how many eagles? I don’t think I saw Hurts do a mid week interview all year. McD, Beane, allen, Von, Poyer, Micah, gabe, knox were all on. Not sure if I’m missing anyone else, but sheeeesh. I watch every PC the bills out out each week. I really enjoy listening to mcafee and other pods. Come mid season, I already had my fill of bills interviews.

No more podcasts. No more weekly Kyle Brandt’s basement. No more weekly Pat Mcafee. when’s the last time we saw Kermit on a National podcast? Focus on football.

UPDATED - v3.0 (FINAL) on p.13 - Gunner's 2023 Mock Draft
NewEra replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’d be very happy with this draft. When I started looking at the WRs in this years draft, I pegged Rice as the guy that makes the most sense. But as I started looking at the other prospects a little more in depth i figured there are 10 WRs I’d be happy with. Ideally one would drop to us in rd 2. Torrance then, could be the smart move if we could get someone like Tillman or Boutte to slip to us in rd 2. But we’d be at the mercy of the draft and could be left without. Rice is such a great fit. He adds much needed size and ball skills. Very good RAC. Beastly run blocker. Best outside but has the ability to move inside. And I love the idea of that on 3rd down. He could be a matchup problem vs slot corners. Could be a great compliment to Diggs. Eager to see his 40 time and his actual height/weight. I hope it’s not in the 4.3s or he might not drop, but he looks like a 4.50 guy to me. I’ve seen him listed from 6’0 to 6’3. Would be nice. -
He’s been a driving force in getting us to where we are today. The divisional round. Hopefully he and his coordinators can step up in the playoffs next year and we can take the step we thought we’d be taking the previous 2 seasons. I figured he would retain Dorsey and Frazier and the Pegulas wouldn’t force him to make any changes. He’s sticking to his guns. He’s a loyal man. Let’s hope it’s not to his detriment. His clock is officially ticking after a lame duck at home scoring 10 points and getting steamrolled.

McDermott ended the drought. Whoever’s decision is was to draft Josh Allen brought us out of futility.
-
Not saying that we should switch, but Baltimore played a 3-4 vs Cinci in the playoffs for the entire game. Any scheme will work with the proper game plan, coaching and execution. Our problem in season ending games has been a combination of all 3. I would’ve liked to make the switch IF we could’ve brought in Fangio. He’s the best defensive mind in the league imo. Now he’s the enemy. Good chance he’s going to take Dorsey to school next season. And the offense?

How the Super Bowl teams Offensive Rosters were assembled.
NewEra replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Stop this 💩 No. They are not. This. It’s going to be a loooong offseason. Dude should probably put himself on a self imposed month long TBD ban to get himself together -
lol, I get it. Makes sense. I was more or less putting a stamp of approval on your statement that Bijan is the overwhelming consensus best RB in this class.
-
Agree about AR. Agree about young too, he only had 7 real seasons due to how everything worked out. Yet Pat Mahomes has played 5 seasons as a starter.
-
On every board….No? No other back in this class is in his realm. it’s not the ranking of the player among his RB peers that will get him selected before we pick. It’s his ranking among every player in the draft. Top 5 player imo. He’s a truly great RB. His agility (especially for a guy his size) is almost unmatched from my memory. that said- trading up for a Rb….oh hell naw
-
Elway top 3 🤣 I thought Steve Young was 10X better than Elway. Not sure if Elway would be in my top 10 tbh
-
He’s an extremely patient runner. Running backs like him seem to be patient when they have good blocking and tentative when they have no holes. He looked dam good to me…..his 5 carries vs Cinci not withstanding
-
The majority of those RBs aren’t getting that kind of money. Wait til the market eats itself then pick up the scraps for pennies. If we can upgrade the OL, I’d be fine with cook and Duke tbh.
-
The feelings are mutual John. Whichever position we draft, I just hope that player turns out to be great. If it’s a RB, just hope that he can help run us to a Lombardi.
-
Of course you are! He’s a demon. I wouldn’t hate on it. It’s not my preference, but we’d be getting a top 5 player in the class with the 27th pick. That said. I REALLY doubt he slips to us. He’s a different animal than Breece Hall.
-
Well, you have Peterson AND Pederson listed. If you only listed one, I’d concede an spelling error. You listed both in your own list (not the OPs). Hence the question.
-
Who is this Peterson guy that keeps being mentioned along with the Pederson guy?
-
Pretty good list. Except- saleh and mcdaniel ahead of Daboll? Please explain. I also think Mcvay, sirianni and Taylor are a notch too high but understand why you’d place them there. also- who is Peterson? I assume you mean Pederson who you also listed? I’d also put pederson up a notch.
