I wasn’t even the one you were quoting. It’s not rocket science unless you don’t watch the Bills. Mahomes had less? 🤣 oh man. W/e you say man. Brown was equally as bad.

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/04/11/lions-trade-jeff-okudah-to-falcons-for-a-fifth-round-draft-pick/amp/ interesting. Dude is toast huh? Lions drafting Witherspoon or Gonzalez? Or wait til round 2 where there will be some solid options

Mmhmmm. Great pass protection + Josh’s mobility and size will allow decent playmakers to get open. It will give Josh more time to process the defense and make better decisions. When he has time- he’s proven to be almost unstoppable. When his first read is Spencer Brown, to see if he got beat like a rented mule (again), it throws everything off. Spencer Brown or Colin Brown? Not sure who has done our franchise worse. Colin may have been the worst player ever…. But we weren’t playing for anything. He didn’t keep us from winning a SB. Spencer could actually prevent us from winning a SB. I’ll be ill if it’s Spencer or Quess at RT all season.

And just like that, the Bills OL is gonna be trash.

I don’t think anything is clear except that we are in the market for a WR. Who’s knows which WRs will be selected when. Now everyone saying flowers might be top 20. The worthy WRs may all be drafted way before our pick, just like last year and a trade up could be too expensive. we hope it’s a WR….but it’s may not be in beanes control unless he wants to give up next years first
-
Right…. They need value. Jack Campbell is not that. MLB don’t make nearly as much as premium positions. You draft premium position so can actually get the “value” you speak of. A good WR, OT, pass rusher or CB under a rookie contract is much more valuable than a MLB on a rookie contract. Campbell will be a bills for 4-5 years then walk. That’s not what we are looking for from a 1st rd pick. The only reason we are talking about him @ pick 27 is because of need and the other MLBs are either too raw or too small.

The only people that have said they were unhappy with the OL or weapons are the fans….. but if you watch the games—— you would realize that the OL was HORRID and the WRs outside of Diggs were all jags. Analysts and professionals aren’t unhappy- because they have no reason to be unhappy. They couldn’t care less…. But they see that there are problems. Allen and Diggs aren’t saying anything because they’re professionals and the leaders of the team. if Diggs and Josh aren’t unhappy with their supporting cast, they aren’t the type of competitor that we want to pay big bucks to. Luckily for us, I’m sure they’re likely unhappy with their supporting cast, especially the OL (Spencer brown cough). Has there been another 5 year starting QB in nfl history that has only played with one 1st round pick on offense? And that guy was a bum that we cut.

Luckily, this doesn’t matter and we’ll have another one, with a different team in a couple days 😜
-
Likely bulking then shredding. Or he’s just depressed and smashing 5lb burgers
-
Consensus according to the media. Could be the nfl, but we won’t know anything for sure until the draft

15M guaranteed. Lol. There was no way Beane would ever consider that and I’m glad he didn’t. I think he’s in a good spot though. Expect a lot of change (and Lamar to be back) in the passing game. He’ll do well and see a nice share of targets if he stays healthy.
-
I think people are excited about him because this class is so bad. He’s the only big guy with elite upside. What he could be is spectacular and better than anyone in the draft. In a draft as weak as this years, he’s the perfect guy to roll the dice on. I see the problems with his hands- but everyone else is sub 6 foot, sub 166-190lbs. Size is nice to have. Coach him up. Let Diggs work with him. Gabe is a super hard worker and going into his FA year. You can bet he’ll be working his tail off even harder. Johnston would be in a great WR room. That stuff cannot be discounted in regards to an athletes maturation. I’d be pumped but my first year expectations would be tempered. I think gabe would probably start

Trading up twice will leave us 2 nothing but those 2. Trading away a pick next year is possible I suppose, but Beane hasn’t done that to date iirc. But maybe. If he’s eager to fill these holes with the best quality players. I think it’s more likely that we trade down and trade up but not sure in which order. But please…. No corners in rd 1 unless it’s Witherspoon or Gonzalez. I could see McD falling in love with Branch though too That would be great
-
Watching the most recent Sam Monsons (Pff) mock draft- Cam Smith- 🤮 They dismissed Elam. said there were no LBs or DTs worthy. Offensive line- maybe- BPAs we’re Myles murphy, Bresee, mcdonald, mayer, flowers, Forbes, mazi. Anton harrison went top 20 iirc

I really think Kincaid will be the best pass catcher on the board when we pick…. If he’s on the board. Would love him
-
It’s definitely looking like we should trade up in rd 2. Maybe some of these OL fall…. But I really don’t think they will. It’s really such a weak class, seems like everyone needs OL help, inside and tackles. There’s just a real shortage of good OL play and there look to be some solid prospects. I think the OL we hope slip to us in rd 2 are gonna be gone- same for MLB- same for WR…… We’re definitely going to draft DL and DB with our first 2 picks 🤣
-
Dam you!! I was going to trade up for him but was too lazy. should’ve known you’d take him. with the 50th pick, the LA Rams select, OT Cody Mauch, North Dakota St. Offensive line play was the reason we went from champs to chumps. We need help everywhere along the OL and are happy to get a versatile beast in Mauch. We’ll start him at tackle and see how he does. We think, at worst, he’ll be a very good guard. @TBBills Fan and the fish stank are on the clock.

I’d like to see the Bills bring back Shaq Lawson and pay him fairly.
NewEra replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m glad he’s back. I think Shaq and Phillips should’ve alternated “more than the minimum contracts”- Shaq is getting just over 2M for his 2 years- while Phillips got around 8 for his 2 years. Shaq was a much bigger contributor in 2022 and much more dependable. -
You might be right, but need for Offensive line around the league is real. I think there will be 3 MLB taken before we draft, so I don’t think they are going “that much” higher than they will irl. We shall ser

nice- never had it but I’ve seen it at Total Wine before. I like the labeling. Random

Becasue we have 2 more mocks scheduled before the draft. Drafting players that the majority of the board knows rather than having 90% players selected in rd 4-7 being unknown to the most. I don’t think anyone sees much fun in that and it’s a lot of work for virgil (moderating trades and keeping the board updated). What are you specifically drinking in the pub?
-
I hope so…. I hope he’s a Bill.
-
yeah I knew you’d go OT, but wasn’t sure which one. Anton’s run blocking has been meh. Now you have two pass blocking finesse bookend in harrison and Dillard. Which is good for most teams. Might have to have Bijan doing the heavy lifting in the run game while passing a bit more
-
sorry was eating dinner. Lol. I knew he was gonna take Harrison. Dam you alpha! We had a trade in place but @frostbitmic had no incentive to get picks that aren’t in this draft. 😢 Oh well. With the 42nd pick, the NY Jets select Matthew Bergeron, OT Syracuse. Tackle is a massive need. He’s the next best on our board. Dawand jones was an option but the Jets have learned their lesson. We won’t be drafting huge mountainous men with hopes they stay healthy anymore. @bkep32is on the board.
