Quick, one word that reminds you of Leslie Frazier as a play caller: passive comes to my mind. Quite the difference- between how Ron Rivera characterizes McD. Yet we have Carolina fans brainwashing our mafia brethren into thinking that Leslie Frazier was running the defense exactly the same as McD would’ve run it. Too funny.

I hear ya. I’m not a fan of taking a slot only either but I like the player and I think he could really help our offense by getting open. He makes contested catches too. His change of direction and footwork looks elite to me. That’s what wins in the slot. He gets open and we can really use that. watching more and more Harty this week has me believing that he’s going to play quite a bit on the outside. Playing him opposite Diggs puts a lot of pressure on the D if they want to double Diggs- either Harty will be 1 on 1 or the underneath will be wide open for a free 1st down. We weren’t able make teams pay for doubling Diggs as much as we should have. again- I’m not advocating for drafting him, but I think he’s a helluva player

I was pretty anti Josh downs due to him being slot only in many eyes but he looked dam good in his pro day today. He’ll be getting open. Is there a chance that we play Harty mainly outside? Diggs Harty outside with Downs in the slot. No size but those guys can present problems for coverage. That said…. I doubt we draft Downs, but he impressed me today

Yeah, the ST coach was fired for his mistake. Once that had happened, we still had 13 seconds to stop them from getting into FG range. It’s not THAT difficult of a task…. Kelce knew exactly what was coming and he made us pay. That’s on the DC You don’t say “well Farwell screwed up first, so if he didn’t screw up in the first place, Frazier never would’ve have had chance to screw up”. That’s just the most idiotic thing I’ve ever heard. They both screwed. Then Frazier found a way to do it again just 6 games later. I didn’t think he’d be fired but I thought it was in our best interests to move on.

Some may disagree, but these are the holes that I see. this is my assessment- Lacks explosiveness. Lacks speed to run with RBs and many TEs. Has major struggles getting off blocks. I like the player and would love him in rd 2. I think he’d be a solid yet unspectacular starter for several seasons, but will just be another Poz- solid player but not good enough to pay. Hopefully he’d be good enough to not be the reason we lose in the playoffs. I’d go with the upside of Simpson but he’s a bigger risk as a Mike. Hopefully we don’t have to worry about taking either player @ 27 because Beane will have traded down.

They aren’t tweet or articles. They were conversations with friends. 2 of which are professional sports bettors and really understand all of the nuances of the game. Recalling from memory- more aggressive and less predictable, more cover 3-4-6 (as opposed to mostly tampa 2), more disguised coverages and variations of coverages.
