Cinci’s elite players are on rookie contracts. “Going forward” they have a lot of work to do to keep their level of talent. Just like us. Burrow, chase and Higgins count under 24M against the cap this year. In 2 years, they’ll be making over 100M between the 3. Maybe 110-120M.

We added Kincaid. It doesn’t matter if that weapon is WR2 or slot imo. As long as we have a reliable target in the middle of the field, we’ll be fine. Maybe I’m biased as Kincaid was my #1 target in the draft, but I think we have something much more than a reliable target in the middle of the field now. Just keep him healthy.

@Billl care to elaborate on the eye roll? as if missing elite players doesn’t have an impact on games. How many elite players did KC miss last year? I clearly remember KC getting trounced by tampa bay in the Super Bowl. Why did they get embarrassed that game? Think it might have had to do with injuries along the OL? Or was it Mahomes not playing well enough to beat them?

Cinci walked down on a D filled with injured players and backups along the DL and secondary. They had a better game plan that day. True that the Cinci OL was banged up- but with no one to take advantage of them, the advantage was NIL, KC was healthy and had the talent to take advantage and did the chiefs didn’t walk down the field on us IN KC in the 4th quarter. Their 4th quarter possessions ended as such: - Von Miller tackle on Mahomes forced a fg. - Von Miller sack- punt - Von Miller hurry- interception. so what gap is there to close with KC? We beat them in KC without Hyde and Tre. They stayed healthy. We were decimated. Health and coaching game plans- the roster is fine. And now we have Dalton Kincaid 🤣

I don’t think there was a “gap” when healthy. I think the roster was right on par with both teams. We just suffered major injuries. KC doesn’t win the SB without Chris Jones last year….just like we weren’t going to win the SB without Von Miller last year. He changed our defense. A true difference maker. A closer. Without him, we were working on borrowed time. The bengals OL was broken and KC had the healthy horses to make them pay. We didn’t due to injury. We’ve upgraded this offseason. I think the chiefs will be upgraded by off-seasons end. I don’t think the bengals will be better, but more of the same great team. They lost heart of their secondary but upgraded the OL, pass rush and corner. The jags and chargers will be improved. The jets and fins improved. Same with the Ravens and Broncos. stay healthy. The teams that do that will have the best chance imo. Lots of luck involved in winning a title. We’ll need some.

Beane also backtracked slightly yesterday on being Milanos backup. I forgot what he said to the word, but it was along the lines of: we’ll start him outside for now, but we’ll see what happens. You never know. I could be totally off but I saw it as if he was trying to temper expectations for the kid this year by saying he’s Milanos backup in the first PC. Like he was protecting him from ridicule when he isn’t the starter this year. Then the social media outrage ensued for picking another ST in rd 3S. So he decided to open the door for him at Mike this year (even if it’s a backup). IF they drafted him to play outside (and keep Milano outside too) It’s a terrible pick imo. I just don’t believe that was the plan. I think they drafted him to compete to alongside Milano, but probably not in 2023. according to my couch evaluations, Williams was a reach and too small to play Mike. According to many others that aren’t on the couch- Williams has a shot to play the Mike- he just needs to put on some weight and hit the books. he’s a sub 4.5 with long limbs and very good tackling ability. With McD calling the plays I think we’ll see a much greater variety of sub packages. Rapp, Bernard, Williams, Spector, Klein, Dodson. Different skill sets for different situations. I think it’ll be mostly nickel, but not 85-100% every game like under Frazier.

They’ll regret it more when Stroud turns out to be average and they end up with a top 2 pick again with Caleb Williams and Drake Maye on the board. Maybe they’ll be able to trade for Kyler after the cards take Caleb.

You might be right. You might be wrong. He’s just as fast as Jack Campbell. Williams also gets bullied in the run game and his Mike instincts aren’t nearly as good as To’oTo’o.

As you continue to put words in my mouth. All I did was state that there are others (that actually get paid for their opinion) that view him as potentially elite. I never said that that was MY opinion. But continue to make things up.

I’ve been messing around the house so I’m now 💯 sure, but I think it started with trading down with Washington. I think we traded that the Cody ford pick for a later 5th and a 6th. We then traded that 6th to Houston for another 6th and a 6th in 2024. We then traded that pick to the rams for another 6th in 2024 and (I think) a 7th this year. So I think Beane basically turned Cody Ford into a 5th and 2 6ths next year….. but I could be wrong.

Receiving 2 6th round picks in next years draft is amazing- even more amazing- we traded down with the Texans and the rams- both likely to be picking at the top of the round, almost 5th rd picks

Thanks for informing me of this first hand information. He played tackle in college. He has the ability to play tackle. Our current tackle has been terrible and our 2 backups are even worse like I said- I HOPE- that it’s Edwards- IF BROWN DOESN’T IMPROVE. Brown- if he improves.
