Watch the FA recap cover1 did yesterday. Good dialog and film review. He’s better than you think and I’m confidant that the Bills will use him as more than a gadget guy Obj or jeudy- duh 😉
-
You don’t know if denver will even trade jeudy….more than a 1st for him? No thanks. “whatever it takes” to get an always broken OBj or a Jerry Jeudy that might not even be available. if Beane doesn’t do those two things- he fails. That’s really weak. That’s just it
-
Make it easier for everyone by doing what? Overpaying for jeudy (reports now saying a trade is unlikely)? Overpaying for OBj? Trade for a WR that isn’t even on the block? draft Zay Flowers? Trade up for which WR? you act like there are several 1Bs available in free agency, available in the draft or for trade. That’s simply just not the case.

Yes, Campbell. Sorry. I didn’t really watch any Pappoe til after watching him at the combine and only watched what was basically highlight reel. He looks like an impressive athlete, but like you said, not sure if he would be able to start at the mike
-
I really hope we can trade down and get one of the tackles (adding Bergeron to the list), one of the WR’s (adding Tillman to the list) and either Crawford or Simpson. Sample is intriguing, but I don’t think he’s ready to start @ mlb year 1

Fournette makes sense- not sure about 3M, I’m thinking we can get a RB for 2M
-
Anyone up for adding an edge rusher before the draft?

Sure- or Calais Campbell, Justin Houston, Leonard Floyd, -
We will definitely need a slot if your predictions of Shakir and Harty not being able to handle it are true.
-
I don’t necessarily think it’s a “missing piece” as much as it is having a “known commodity”. Shakir was drafted partly due to his RAC ability. Harty is one of the best RAC guys in the league. While it’s unknown if shakir can be a successful slot in the nfl or whether Harty can stay healthy, we have two slot WRs that specialize in RAC. So I don’t think it’s a missing piece, but more of an unknown. I was a huge shakir fan prior to drafting him and thought he was worthy of a 2/3rd rd pick. So maybe I’m biased
-
I agree. He’ll replace him next year. Harty is also going to be getting some snaps outside as well. Which is why I put the rookie down some.
-
Which could be enough if we can find a way to get better OL play, a better offensive scheme and a healthy Josh Allen arm
-
Lol. I agree. Maybe not this offseason, but at some point in the next 5 years I expect him to be a Bill again
-
I think it’ll be Diggs Davis Harty Shakir WR drafted rds 1-3. this WR class isn’t very good and the guys that we’ll be selecting will have a hard time beating out gabe. Maybe they’ll slot in over shakir, but they plan to utilize Harty. Mcdermotts reluctance to give big minutes to draft picks also factors in imo
-
I don’t see my as a fit. They have wandale robinson, parris Campbell and Hodgins. All three are best in the slot- their other WR is Sterling IRpard. Maybe Daboll loves him that much that he’ll add a 4th midget WR, but I think he can be used better on other teams
-
😉 looks like Beane isn’t very courteous. The addition of Harty was the end for him. Harty can play inside and outside and is a better return man. Their size makes them redundant imo. But you are right, Harty’s health is def a concern and an obstacle. The other obstacle being Dorsey being able to implement him into the offense
-
I agree 💯, we don’t have to model ourselves after anyone I’m just saying that our defense, which inevitably sucks in every postseason deciding game, held the KC O in check- got stops and turnover- when we we mostly healthy (but still without Hyde and Tre). just pointing out to others that defense does actually matter and the moves we made last year were very good as a combined unit- but not nearly as effective without the big dogs
-
Yeah……that’s kind of my point. He’s talking about Miller ….. but weren’t just missing Miller….they were missing their best DL all season, Daquan Jones. we hadn’t won one game without von and daquan all season, so I’m not sure why we’re talking about our record without Von. OT wasn’t just von. Daquan had been great all season and our depth at DT was depleted. Not to mention Ed being playing injured. Yeah….but they suck. And we all know this. So that’s a story for a different day and conversation. Or turn this conversation into how Brandon Beane is bad. My only stance in this thread: if it’s being said that the bengals backups handled our defensive line, it should also be mentioned that it was our backup defensive line. that isn’t too hard to comprehend. Is it?
-
Slots, slots and more slots
-
No——someone said the bengals BACKUPS handled the Bills defensive line. My point was: it’s only fair to include the bills BACKUP defensive line. but do you.
