Yours is a very shallow opinion. He was injured last season. The previous season, he was VERY good in several metrics. Top 5 WR good. No, he’s not a top 5 WR, not even close, but he can we worth the money we paid him if used properly. https://www.canalstreetchronicles.com/platform/amp/2022/2/17/22938420/deonte-harty-had-an-ultra-efficient-season

If it’s fair to talk about his 47 Pff rating in a season that saw him get 2 targets and miss most of the season to injury….I suppose it’s fair to talk about his 87 Pff rating the year prior….when he was mostly healthy and actually played a lot of snaps. You could be right about It being a waste of 5M - for one year. His real money is tied to playing and production incentives. He can play if healthy. Healthy is the only major concern….other than Dorsey’s ability to make proper use of him….and Hines and cook and shakir and knox. If Dorsey does a good job, I think we’ll be very happy with the signing. If Dorsey doesn’t do a good job, it’ll be Beanes fault Fo signing him.

Yeah, looks like it might move the midget WRs down our list. Rice, Reed, Tillman, Hutchinson, Mingo, Iosivas, wicks, Boutte, Palmer, Wilson, Perry, Nacua and Demus seem like good fits in rds 2-6. I’m feeling a trade down in rd 1 unless Johnston or addison are there. If we can’t trade out, Darnell Wright makes the most sense followed by Broderick Jones and dawand Jones. Brian Branch, Antonio Johnson, sanders, Simpson and Campbell are possible picks.

Yeah; pro bowl as a returner. I think he’s our starting slot WR and punt returner. That’s what the contract tells me. He and Shakir should be competing for snaps in the slot. I like both players and now think we’re set inside. Just need an outside guy. to compete with Gabe. Harty has the rare speed and explosion that Beane has been drooling over. Sure, it would’ve been nice if that speed were in a bigger body, but then it costs a lot more. Now it’s up to Dorsey to use the speed and get him into space. I’m more worried about Dorsey than I am paying a midget 5M

He is tiny. He’s so electric though. Not many slots have the juice to take a 5 yard slant the distance. He does. We paid him more than I thought he’d get paid but mainly because he was out of sight and mind last year as he missed the seasons with turf toe. Every time I’ve watched him play, he impressed me and left me thinking I’d like this guy on the Bills. he’s a high risk (due to size), high reward (due to speed) player who’s contract won’t hurt us going forward (if he doesn’t work out). if he hits his incentives and makes the full amount…..then he produced.

“ we need playmakers”. “We need speed”. “We need a slot WR”. “Beane neglects offense”. Bills sign a playmaking slot WR (that can also make contested catches) with blazing speed: “why’d we pay him so much?” 🤦🏻♂️

This. I want Williams but only at the right price. If he wants too much, draft one 4th round or later and sign a FA for the minimum. Duke Williams being the worst option. There are going to be several solid RBs signing for next to nothing after a few weeks -

He’s amazing. His persona is why he’s the only FA RB I want @ more than 3M- dude is infectious and a huge part of the lion turnaround…. I thought. and then the lions sign Montgomery for 6 mill a year…..makes me think Jamaal wasn’t that great, or wants way too much money. -
Me too. Love the guy….. but no

I wouldn’t put that loss on him
