  1. Under this new rule, is it?
  2. Idk about that. I think it’s 💯 on him. Seems to me, that he still wants his full pay day and teams won’t trade for him and pay him that. If he wants to play for a contender, he needs to take less money. If not, suffer in Az. He’s trying to have his cake and eat it too. Doesn’t seem like there are any teams willing. Yet
  3. Or I was giphy blacklisted? 🤣
  4. Oh sorry, I didn’t realize this turned into another bash Beane conversation. Have fun
  5. For sure. That OL was great. And then free agency happened in 1993. Some teams can pull it off, but, by and large, it’s extremely hard to keep these OLs together for more than 2-3 years. Add the shallow pool of OL to choose from nowadays and it’s even harder. gotta hope that you draft well and hit some diamonds in the rough and have control for 4-5 years
  6. It doesn’t happen often at all obv, but the nfl doesn’t care about adding one player to the active roster. They want to add one QB to make sure teams don’t put mccaffery out there at QB. I see their point.
  7. Again…….why “in reality” do we need to temper expectations? Why? You made the comment. Please explain why we NEED to do this? it’s a message board and I’m clearly just having fun drinking all the koolaid about this Kincaid kid. On record saying that I hope he was our pick prior to drafting him. I didn’t think we had a chance to get him. I had him as a top 10 player in this draft. We got him. I’m pumped. And you’re just being a trolling sap per usual. Saying stupid things like we need to temper expectations….. when no, actually we don’t have to. You just feel compelled to show me love every time you read my posts.
  8. Do you think teams would use that extra spot for a QB? I don’t and I think that’s why they did it this way. They want to avoid RBs forced to playing QB….. especially in the playoffs
  9. I’m concerned that he’ll only be 70% of what he was 3 years ago. I didn’t think he played like an all pro or even pro bowler in his last healthy season. He was just pretty good imo. I think his ceiling might now be, pretty good. But very susceptible vs the special athletes. We’ll be playing special atheltes in the playoffs. I don’t think he’ll play to the level of being a 17m cornerback ever again. I surely hope I’m wrong, because Tre is a special human and one of my favorite characters in Bills history.
  10. That’s really all that it is….sounds simple but thousands and thousands of reps over their playing career doing it one way is one of the reasons these guys are so good at what they do. Mirroring it to the other side is a different memory for the muscles. Some players adapt well. Some can’t adapt. I think it really just depends on how hard they want to work at it.
  11. Dawkins and Morse are respectable returners; he feels McGovern could be respectable; Torrance was viewed as the top OG in the draft, which could be seen as respectable. Bates was respectable down the stretch. Brown was putrid. You find it hard to believe that a guy would define our OL as respectable after upgrading both OGs and returning 2 other respectable starters? 4 out of 5 decent starters is exactly that imo. Not many teams have more than 4 respectable starters and those that do are considered good and great. Not respectable. jmo- I think our OL will be respectable. It’ll be pretty good if Brown is average
  12. I promise you, there will be no consequence if Kincaid doesn’t reach my expectations. The stuff you speak of has an impact on message board talk and social media. I don’t believe it has any impact on anything related to the play on the field and decision made by Pegula, Beane and McDermott. “In reality”, that’s all that matters.
  13. I hope that it’s option 2 by seasons end. I think Torrance will start but Bates wasn’t terrible to end the season. Some rookies acclimate to the rigors of NFL life quicker than others. I could see a situation where bates starts the season and Torrance takes over after a few weeks. But it would be so nice if he just came in week 1 and showed everyone why he was touted as a first rd pick by many, took the job and ran with it. I like that torrance just came off of a year where he transferred and played at a very high level vs a huge uptick in talent. if Torrance and Brown turn out to be a formidable right side of the line, watch out.
  14. “We” don’t have to do anything. Our expectations will have zero impact on reality. I see an advanced skill set that should thrive playing with Josh Allen. Our franchises history of rookie TE performances has nothing to do with Dalton Kincaid or his future. When was the last time I TE was drafted to become our Wr2/3? This is different. Since 1975 we’ve drafted 2 tight ends in the first 2 rounds (Lonnie Johnson and Tony Hunter). It’s been the position we’ve neglected more than any other. Now, we drafted one to become our slot receiver. 75> of the time and tight end 25%. I don’t think he’ll reach his potential this year but his talent will be flashing every week and the entire fan base will be giddy about his future. again…. My expectations and predictions are just that. Mine. And I can do what I please with them while being assured that they w won’t have any impact on reality. Sherfield has to be in there. He was the #1 rated run blocker out of WRs last year iirc
  15. the chiefs crushed the 2021 and 2022 drafts. Prior to that- the 3 previous drafts (Beanes first 3 years) they added 1 (sneed) good core player. Gay and Danna are ok, but I don’t think they’ll resign them to a 2nd contract. 132Clyde Edwards-HelaireRBLSU 263Willie Gay Jr.LBMississippi State 396Lucas NiangOTTCU 4138L'Jarius SneedSLouisiana Tech 5177Michael DannaEDGEMichigan 7237Bopete KeyesCBTulane 2019 256Mecole HardmanWRGeorgia 263Juan ThornhillSVirginia 384Khalen SaundersDTWestern Illinois 6201Rashad FentonCBSouth Carolina 6214Darwin ThompsonRBUtah State 7216Nick AllegrettiGIllinois 2018 246Breeland SpeaksDTMississippi 375Derrick NnadiDTFlorida State 3100Dorian O'DanielOLBClemson 4124Armani WattsSTexas A&M 6196Tremon SmithCBCentral Arkansas 6198Reginald McKenzieOGTen I think jury is still out on Beanes last 3 draft classes. They’re a chance last years class break out- elam and cook especially. shakir, Bernard, Spector and Benford all have a chance to become contributors. Rousseau is still improving. Spencer Brown and Basham could turn things around. 2020. We didn’t hit as many home runs as KC did, but not many teams did? Credit to them. But let’s not act like every other GM just hits home run after home run. We had the best team in the league last year until injuries decimated our defense. We lost Tremaine and added several upgrades across the board. Sure, there may be other teams that are better set up for the future, but being a top 5-10 is all you can ask for. SB windows are usually 3-5 years. I think our window will be closer to 10
  16. 👍🏻 I don’t consider anything prior to this offseason as part of this conversation. The conversation (that we’re having in the wrong thread) was comparing last years WR and RB units to this years. I understand not liking the Harty contract. It’s a 1.3M dead cap if he doesn’t perform or stay healthy. But the guy has something that no other WR in this FA class has, minus Hardman: world class speed. Maybe Hardman would’ve been a better addition considering the contract. I just don’t see much of a difference in the player. I like Harty, the WR more than I like Hardman the WR. But the injury thing is the kicker with Harty. Big risk. I’m a big fan of Harty, so I don’t see much of a difference between signing hardman and Harty. I agree about OT not being addressed properly. But they told us from the start. They believe in Brown and he’s our RT. MLB- I’ve come around to really like the Williams pick. I always liked the player but was extremely irked in Beanes first PC stating that he would be playing outside for now. He changed his tune of that and I think we may have gotten a decent replacement. We’ll find out in time. My problem with the position goes back to the drafting of Bernard, but that’s besides the point.
  17. Maybe you missed the last game of the year? Healthy offense. Monstrosity of a stinker game.
  18. I agree with this- but I think Sherfield will 💯 make the team
  19. I get it. 👍🏻 What would you have done to improve WR and RB? WR, there was trade for Hopkins and his 19M cap hit that he seems intent on keeping. Pay obj 14M+? 🤮 Trade for Jeudy or Sutton? Wasn’t happening. Signing Dj Chark was about the only possible upgrade from my POV. I’m not sure he’s much of an upgrade over Davis either if at all. all the top WRs in the draft we’re gone and none worthy of our pick but we landed the best pass catcher in the draft imo. the way I saw this WR offseason crop- you can’t suck blood from a stone. The upgrade options were far and few in between. I’m glad that we didn’t break the bank or trade any picks. I’m glad we kept our 2nd and drafted Torrance rather than using it on Hopkins. 5 year rookie contract for a guy that looks to be a consistent force in the middle while avoiding that 19M hit and the future cap pain it brings with it.
  20. Cmon man. That’s what we do on message boards. We’re projecting. It’s the only thing we can do. We see what Kincaid looked like in college with Cam Rising throwing him the ball. Now he has Josh Allen throwing him the ball. You’re right, we don’t know how good he’s going to be….we don’t know how much shakir, cook and Spencer brown will inprove. They could all regress, but for the sake of discussion, this is what we do. We project what we think they’ll do and how good they’ll be. I agree with most of what you’ve said on this board throughout the years. I trust your opinion a great deal and I’m not hating on this take because of the take itself, rather I’m hating on it because of the premise. “We can’t get ahead of ourselves” when discussing our 1st rd TE/WR/Slot. Yes we can. That’s all we can do in the offseason. No one KNOWS anything at this point. If we can’t get ahead of ourselves regarding Kincaid, we can’t get ahead of ourselves regarding anything…. Which would lead to no discussion and a very boring forum. this kid is going to be a stud. Many time pro bowl- multiple time all pro- future HoFer. You heard it here 😉
  21. Adding crowder to the mix is the only way to even the scale. joe Marino discusses this topic right here. In his estimation: We’ve definitely improved at WR. We’ve definitely improved at RB. We’ve definitely improved at TE We’ve definitely improved at OL I agree with Joe in this case.
  22. Agreed. I think WR is definitely improved. Our slot WR went from a dirty lil midgeee to Dalton fricken Kincaid. People may call him a TE, but I think he’s a huge WR (with beastly RB potential for a slot). I understand those saying that Harty and Sherfield aren’t great upgrades over dirty and Kumerow. Statistically, there’s an argument. But I think if Harty and Sherfield were on the bills last year, they’d have had better seasons. The eye test on Harty says he’s much better than dirty imo. His problem is injury. Big problem to have. I think Sherfield is superior to Kumerow in every way. It’s not really a debate. regarding the RB- I think motor is better than Harris….. but I think Harris is a better compliment to cook. He gives us something we need. Some power up the middle other than JA. Player to player it may not be an upgrade- but considering the fit, I think Harris is better for our team. And Murray is a very good option as RB4. I think our playmakers have been improved a great deal. Maybe not the splash some we’re hoping for, but combined with the IOL improvements, I think we’re in for a treat. Did I mention DK86 for HoF this post? There you go
  23. poor kids. some people aren’t meant for social media.
  24. I agree. Good D . Great person and seems to be beloved by his players. Failed miserably in 3 straight season ending losses. time will tell if we’re better off without him… but I think staying the course with him calling plays would’ve led us to the similar results. Close but no cigar
  25. Since when is May 20th in the month of March? Or maybe I’m missing something?
