  1. Volin had tweeted about Jones' attitude and got called to the Principal's office. I'm sure they wanted that out, and I'm sure they then wanted to wallpaper it because they want to save the 1st round pick. As far as future, I won't be surprised if he tries to get the job handed off to his kid. That would be an even more absurd trainwreck.
  2. That may be the biggest sign that the Patriots were already done with Jones before training camp even opened. It looks like a great way to tank, put two coaches with no OC experience in the QB room and let the fun begin. I think Mac is way too arrogant coming from the Tide and acting like he's already won MVP's most of the time, Belichick would hate that, especially if there's even a hint that he's not putting in the work. Maybe the tank got derailed having to start Zappe against two incompetent teams, but last night's switcheroo is sure to unsettle everything.
  3. If they do it would put a lot of people in a bind who traveled to that game specifically because 1pm would fit their schedules.
  4. Clowns just love overpaying for Brady rub-off guys.
  5. Do you pay state taxes? I guess your money should just go to support all the fun times in the Boros.
  6. That's nice, because you had to scroll down like 7 pages to find anything other than the 6-0 Eagles on ESPN's worthless page.
  7. The league wants no part of him anymore. His opinions are pretty toxic to the waves of culture moving through the world, so they aren't going to get some of the benefits they got in the past from being a darling.
  8. This hands issue really isn't new for McKenzie though. If you look at PFRef he fumbled the ball 6 times in 11 games for Denver in 2017. It's almost certainly the reason he was released by the Broncos. Clearly he had gotten it squared away for the first few seasons in Buffalo, but I think it's worth considering that the helmet hit he took a few weeks ago may be causing him to be anticipating contact and distract him from the task at hand. Yeah I don't think it's that he's not dialed in. Much more likely that the hit he took is lingering in his mind and causing him to struggle when he senses a defender trained on him.
  9. Nashville Metro - 2.0MM people Western NY - 2.8MM people That's not even counting the Canadian side. And the Bills have had to all but pull teeth to get funding for their 50 yr old replacement stadium. NYC can go suck it.
  10. Maybe Bailey can play Detroit and Cleveland the rest of his career. The Bills just beat the Chiefs, why can't YOU just be happy? It's not like he condemned or insulted you or anyone.
  11. Well initially he can't go block that guy or it's ineligible man downfield. He probably assumed the guy was there to spy and not rush Allen, and went to help Dawkins. But yeah, lucky that he stayed home as long as he did.
  12. He was probably most upset because he juggled a sideline ball that would have put them in very close to FG range. Might also have something to do with his head coach, who is way too used to a guy named Tom turning nearly any playcall he makes into gold. Instead of getting the yard or two to keep the drive alive, the plays called forced Carr to try to exploit deeper coverage which are always tougher to get right when players are grabbing hard at the end of the game knowing the officials will rarely bite.
  13. He wasn't separating Epenesa. He touched him on the back, yeah it's not like he kidney punched him or anything, but in that situation everyone's in a froth. It would be understandable that Epenesa, in not seeing Hussey, would assume it was a Steeler looking to stir up more trouble in a game where they're getting destroyed. Hussey's just a terrible official who routinely loses control in his games. And this stuff fuels it more, it creates bad blood with players and gives him guys he can have a chip on his shoulder towards. Epenesa was being 5X the situation control specialist that Hussey was. AJ was pushing away his own teammate from the scrum. Just another older high-earner running his side gig trying to show off on camera for the boys back at the clubhouse.
  14. Hate to take something away from this play, but pretty sure that's his man. He's biting down assuming Lamar's gonna try to hit his fav quick target Andrews. Of course if Duvernay's not open, Lamar doesn't throw it there & maybe tosses the incompletion out of the end zone to cut the losses. In theory, it would be interesting to know if Lamar had considered any of the secondary or tertiary effects of chancing an INT and giving up 18 yards of field position vs. accepting the failed 4th incompletion knowing the Bills would have to work off the goal line.
  15. How can you accurately judge how quickly the clock operator starts the game or play clock at the right moment? How can you accurately judge where the ball is when a QB dives into a pile on the sneak? How accurately does the headset shut off to the QB at the 15 second mark (or whatever it's supposed to be)? How do you know that the game ball is pumped to the right air pressure? How do you...........................................
  16. There's always one receiver that everyone sees as the next Hall-of-Famer-if-only-he-got-off-the-Practice-Squad.
  17. Apologies for being like "Man your post sucks to high hell lemme go to town debasing you." Oh wait, it didn't. Sorry for being respectful in offering an alternative viewpoint. I'll make sure not to quote respond to you again. Thanks.
  18. A pitcher can throw his fast ball every time at 103mph. They will start timing it. You need a change-up. The argument is that quick aerial is a suitable change-up, and I would argue that Allen's consistency at that, while good, is not quite consistent enough to be completely effective (heck, see the McKenzie underthrow and one on 3rd & short vs TEN as two examples). Competent rushing would be helpful.
  19. The coaching staff is what they are, it's tough to see them changing now after 5 years. Could have replaced Frazier this offseason but stuck with him. They have to find a way to get on the right side of the results when the margins are thin.
  20. Save yourself money and hire away Miami's trainer. Then Bates is out of concussion protocol at least.
  21. Yeah he's in some murky water right now. I feel like he completely has ownership's goodwill and all, but I think his fan approval rating keeps sliding if the perception grows that he's strategically losing them games. He's definitely adapted over the years, probably out of survival instinct as much as anything (thinking 4th down calls mostly). but he's still out to lunch on many challenge scenarios, and there isn't much confidence you can gain between 13 seconds and the way the final plays were executed yesterday. I'm willing to chalk some of the final drive yesterday up to exhaustion, but he's gotta be more than a cheerleader.
  22. Maybe it's time to go watch professional chess or something. Yeah, injuries. Aside from the absolutely worst case scenario (major JA17 injury), I don't think the situation will be worse than it was yesterday. Benford was out and they still should have won with a pair of rocket WR's facing them. Could Lamar go off? For sure. Is Mahomes difficult? Yeah. But you still have a chance as long as QB1 is active. It's quite likely that the only reason Miami won was because it was 100+°F out there & nothing works quite as well for you (skeletal, mental, pulmonary, etc) when you aren't conditioned to that type of climate. There may be a dozen moments in that game that all go wrong for Buffalo because of that.
  23. Ken Dorsey learned an awful lot in plays that closed the 1st and 2nd halves. There's a good reason teams run outs on the sidelines with little time left. He got cute and he forgot in his cozy little coaches box that his players were completely spent. It wasn't his best day, and he knew it (as documented by the footage).
