Davis ranked 33rd last year in receiving yards despite his drop issues, one could argue that's the best #2 WR in the league but of course he's not as some top guys on other teams didn't rank in the top 32. Davis isn't an elite #2 but would call him above average.

We just need a more reliable target in the passing game that can help move the chains, see Beasley v 2.0 I was hoping Crowder could fill that role last season but sadly his chemistry with Josh was off (perhaps because was splitting reps with McKenzie) and then he got hurt. I'd welcome adding another low cost vet to man the middle as it were. I've mentioned Greg Dortch and Richie James as possible guys that likely be affordable options.

I remember watching him on stand up comedy shows on tv (when that was still a thing and of course appearing on Stern etc. I'm still amazed he ended up on Law & Order as he never struck me as main stream. RIP Belz man.

Wylie gave up 9 sacks last season. Ja’Waun James was a good RT at one time but been injury prone lately but could be a low cost/veteran to bring in to compete. The one UFA I'd love to sign is G Chris Lindstrom yet he could get tagged by the Falcons. David Andrews has worked under Kromer in the past.

How is a backup TE not a need?

Tough to say as they don't have a great WR core and a new OC. I fully expect them to franchise tag him and see how he does in a traditional offense. If he excels and stays healthy he gets a long term extension. If not he walks in 2024.

Woody Johnson is a Ralph Wilson type in that he meddles into things way too much. Let the football guys do football stuff and just pay them.

Drew Sanders was compared to Edmunds in the NFL.com draft writeup. As he's got the same length and experience in a 4-2-5 defense. Yet like Edmunds has boom or bust potential.

I'd like to bring a UFA LG, the name that seems to fit in because he could be had at a good price and ties to the coaching staff is David Edward from the Rams. He missed time last year because of concussion and of course worked under Kromer and the Rams.

He coached him at LSU and in Cleveland, same as Jarvis Landry....let the rumors fly.

If a QB fell that far, call a team in the early part of Round 2 that might need a QB and see if they want to trade up.

If the Jets want a choker they should sign Jimmy G toss in there's the 49ers connection with Saleh. Aka QB purgatory. Miami probably going to ride out Tua's rookie contract and then make a decision on QB most likely move on since he can't stay healthy.

Let's wait for UFA to settle before we assess our needs as usually once free agency is over we have one glaring need over others that we draft for in the 1st, see last year at CB, see previous year DE etc. etc.
