  1. Maybe it's because of the rotating players. Ed Oliver played 58% of the snaps. I think that led the team. I know it's thought that keeping them fresh for the 4th quarter is smart, but maybe playing the best players at least 75% of the snaps might be a good idea. How many sacks would Bruce Smith have gotten if he only played 58% of the snaps?
  2. Jameson Williams is the best WR in the class. They should draft him and let him get healthy. Then Josh can go nuts back there.
  3. I don't think Lovie is a good choice. He was DC in St. Louis when they had a halfway decent defense to go with the Greatest Show on Turf. He moved on to mediocrity as a coach in the NFL, and a bad stint as HC at the University of Illinois. Flores should be coaching somewhere. He's a winner. Not only that, he would be immediately embraced by the black players on his team. They have to admire his standing up for principles. I don't see any improvement in the future for the Texans. I don't care, either.
  4. Have you seen the All-22 analysis of that kickoff? I just saw this. It shows that the team was sprinting toward the left side of the field, as if in anticipation of a shorter kick....and on the way 3 of our players put their hands in the air, in confusion....one of them looking at Bass as if thinking "what just happened?" It looks like the plan was to kick the ball short on the left side of the field. Hard to say who screwed it up...Bass kicking it through the endzone? Somebody not telling him where to kick it? Bass being nervous and not executing the kick? I noticed earlier in the year, whenever he would kick short his setup was a few steps short. Maybe they didn't want to give that away by having him only go back a few steps.... Any way you slice it, it was a mess.
  5. Lots of people don't get along that well with the boss. They go home and complain about it to their wife, and go back to work the next day. Daboll did a nice job here, and that's why he was hired by the Giants. I am still a little confused why they ran the ball 3 straight times in the second half after getting the ball near midfield. Blown opportunity. With Josh's arm, they should've moved right downfield and taken the lead. Ken Dorsey was named Passing Game Coordinator and given a bump because they wanted him to stay with the team until Daboll got a new gig. I'd say the passing game was pretty good. It was an execution problem. Whoever called that should be executed from his job.
  6. That $100K incentive per loss is amazing. They should lose the team.
  7. Hey, we had KC beat. Our defense is strong, but we need a mean streak. The loss of Tre was finally felt during that game. He'll be back. I kind of agree that we could use a new DC. But it's hard to argue with the achievements last year. They gave up some huge runs to Indy and Tennessee (and one big one against NE in the Wind Bowl). Focus on building a scheme that stops the run The backfield is great.
  8. OP here. I don't expect them to go undefeated, and I fully expected people to respond to the obvious nature of my post. If I were to respond, I'd probably write "duh." However, there are times when they lacked focus. They need to be 100% every week...in my opinion the Bills are the best team in the league. Josh is incredible, and our defense had the best stats in the league. Even if you factor in the lousy teams they beat, they still had a top 10 defense. They should have won more games. Which would give them home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
  9. Win every game. The loss at Jacksonville cost the team home field advantage. This was a matter of overlooking the opposition. After all the bizarre upsets this year (ours being the worst), the team must learn to be 100% focused on every single game, and not to have any letdowns. That's what they can take away from this past season.
  10. Bingo. Amazing they got nothing out of that. Mahomes threw that pick and the game turned. He was not throwing the ball well at all after that. Maybe he got hurt or something. He wasn't right. Maybe the team was in letdown mode after climbing the mountain last week.
  11. Just a point of view. Mistakes have consequences.
  12. After a few days of contemplation and abject misery, I came to the conclusion that the Bills played the dumbest 13 seconds in the history of sports. Then I started to think about the economic impact. Imagine, if you will, a home game this weekend. Ticket sales, parking, concessions, hotels, restaurants....huge loss there. Now let's think about the impact of winning the Super Bowl (you know we would have). The migration to this city from Bills fans all over the country would have been unprecedented. The parade would be the biggest in history....and the hotels would be sold out for 100 miles. Restaurants would break all records. Merchandise sales would be off the charts. I'm guessing those 13 seconds cost the city of Buffalo at least 100 million. Let's say the morale of the entire Bills community is elevated to the point of mayhem, and we all become more productive, resulting in great things. And 9 months from Super Bowl Sunday about 1 million babies, all named Josh, are born.
  13. There are several plays that could've altered the outcome of the game. The holding call that gave them first and goal. Running Singleton 3 straight times near midfield that put us in punt formation, right after we stopped them inside the 10. The Chiefs inability to cover Davis.
  14. I just watched Costas on CNN (wife had it tuned in) and he was making a point that the OT rule is the "dumbest rule in sports." The host, Don Lemon, accused him of being a Bills fan. Costas pointed out he has no horse in this race, but who wouldn't want to see these two QB's battle it out till somebody wins? Then he asked the host what if baseball had the same stupid rule......in the World Series, extra innings, and a team scores a run in the top of the 10th. Do you just call it a game, or do you let the home team get a chance to do something? Great analogy. They also discussed soccer for a moment. I think that's pretty lame, too. Teams play for 135 minutes and then guys line up and try to score on a goalie. That's b.s. too.
  15. I would let Addison and Butler go. Obada stays. Maybe dump Klein. Bates must stay, as the OL was very good at the end of the year. Star should go. There's a chance Davis from Georgia is still there when we draft. Try and keep Trubisky. He is a good backup, but he may sign on wherever Daboll goes. We have a couple guys that could replace Beasley. I have no idea. It'll be good to get Tradavious White back.
  16. Amazing game. If Josh got the ball at the 25, like Mahomes, he would've gotten the Bills in field goal position. Blame the defense if you want. I'm sure they're blaming themselves. Mahomes is great. Josh is great. Get up, knock off the dirt, and move on.
  17. What a game. I was watching with the Bills Backers here in St. Louis, and immediately after the game this Chiefs fan stepped into our room, stuck his phone in my face and said, for his videography, "What do you say now?" I said, "Great game. Congratulations. When there were 13 seconds left I was scared shitless. Your guy is great. So is ours." Pretty classless of the dude to stick that in my face. He's lucky I am a good sport. Half the dudes in my crew would've knocked him out.
  18. I think this week's game is a better matchup than anything remaining in the playoffs, including the Super Bowl. My original post was a reminder, maybe more to us than them. In the post game interview Josh seemed to already have the right mindset....this game is over, and now we have to get to work on the next game......whoever it is. He is the leader of this team, and I believe he will help move the Pats game into the rearview, and push toward this week's game. Nobody is going to crown us for beating the Chiefs. It's not the Super Bowl. But in 1980 the USA Men's Hockey Team beat the Russians, and that's what we all remember and celebrate. That was not for the Gold. They had another game to play, against Finland. Which they won, but nobody remembers that game. Here I am making too big a deal over one game.
  19. That was my hope; they will see this as just winning a wild card game. It was probably a bigger game, emotionally, for the fans than the team. Next!!
  20. When the Bills beat the Raiders 51-3, they were on top of the world. They were cocky and had perhaps too much swagger. They only had a week to prepare for the Super Bowl, and they allegedly took a lot of that time having fun and going to parties. We know what happened. I'm confident that the Bills have already moved past the Patriots game....as great as that was, that means very little when it comes to the next opponent. They will have to work their tails off and be humble. They played a perfect game, just like the Oakland AFC Championship game, but they need to be careful not to get wrapped up in reading how great they were last Saturday. Right now that game means nothing. Of course, in the history of the franchise, it was as sweet as it gets. Get ready, boys.
  21. They believed in Cody Ford. Other teams have missed on 2nd rounders. Hell, that guy San Diego drafted a year earlier....what's his name....uh, give me a minute.....we had him in camp.....Forrest Lamp. Nobody's going nuts on him. It's an imprecise thing, this draft. Spencer Brown went in the 3rd. I'm glad we took him.
  22. I don't know about that, but I do know they had everybody healthy and ready to rock. The games they lost earlier in the year could be blamed on not having the right pieces in place on the OL. They also seemed to make an attitude adjustment somewhere along the line and started playing with a lot more passion. Maybe they realized that "on any given Sunday" has some merit. Teams need to be ready to play each week, regardless of the opposition.
  23. Love it. Kyle is great at this. So passionate. Sending him a case of Red Bull.
