Minshew an option as backup QB?

he can grow a way better mustache than Josh... that kind of stuff will slowly create a toxic room of jealousy... as someone who can't grow a good mustache: trust me -

a match made in heaven -
If we beat the Steelers it will be the biggest win... but then... If we beat the Broncos on saturday and get to the #2 seeed it will be the biggest win... but then... If we beat the Pats on MNF to sweep them for the first time in forever it will be the biggest win... but then... If we beat Miami week 17 to get us to the #1 seed and/or knock them out and/or win the division it will be the biggest win... but then... Playoffs Basically every win here on out will be special and HUGE

National Attention: You Got It, Now Pressure Is On Us

Josh Allen has a chance to enter the MVP convo with a solid month, or give us hours of "I told you so" commentary from sports media... the best part is that it's all up to him and this team -
If we are dealing with a knee injury a lot can happen in the next 48 hours to determine his availability for the upcoming weeks... I wouldn't put too much into him finishing the game out like he did... as Rick James would say "adrenaline is a helluva drug"

I am so glad we can finally stop hearing about the Dolphins and Tua being the next big thing... YES - they are a franchise who are getting better and have tons of assets YES - Tua is showing promise but... 1) They are still in the process of the rebuild 2) Tua is a rookie and will need time to figure out the NFL game/speed Regardless, we gotta take care of business and lock this division up. 6-0 against our division this year would speak volumes.

Why didn't McDermott challenge the Davis TD?
rayray808 replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was first and goal on the 1. My guess is to rush to the line and get the quick score yields higher results than a challenge and potential free time out for Seattle. Hindsight is 20/20 and I have no problem admitting that I would have never even thought of challenging it until Mike Pereira said it was a TD. -
Josh Allen - week NINE report card
rayray808 replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Consider it a compliment that I graded him so tough. If Mahomes or Rodgers didn’t score a single TD against the Jets those fan bases would think the sky is falling. It’s a single game grade and even he would tell you the same. Today is the example of why we can now hold Josh to a higher standard - the dude is a gamer and our franchise QB - no doubt about it! -
WEEK ONE: B+ WEEK TWO: A+ WEEK THREE: B+ WEEK FOUR: A- WEEK FIVE: B- WEEK SIX: D WEEK SEVEN: D+ WEEK EIGHT: A WEEK NINE: A+ (Best game of his career: Valedictorian) 31/38 - 82% completion - 415 yards - 3 TD - 14 yards rushing - 1 rushing TD Simply put: Josh Allen delivered. First month Josh is back. Huge game, huge moments, huge win. THE GOOD: Never wavered as the pressure of this big game mounted. The thing I am most proud of, is he made every perceived bad play, actually his good play - for example. The sacks he took were because nobody was open. Every time he was in the huddle his confidence oozed through the TV screen and I knew he would get our offense rolling regardless of the injuries to our O-line. THE BAD: Sure that 1st and goal and coming away with only 3 points was brutal however the play calls didn't help. There honestly wasn't one moment today where I was like "cmon Josh!". THE UGLY: The worst part of today is that the national narrative will still continue to bring up "good Josh" vs "bad Josh" and not give this dude credit for playing with a heavy heart today after the passing of his grandmother, and beating out the league MVP favorite in what even Vegas predicted as a shoot out. However, maybe that narrative is what makes him and this team special. Perhaps never being crowned as "the next team in the AFC" or "the franchise QB of the AFC East" is what keeps this squad humble and hungry. The more I reflect on it, I don't think I need Steven A Smith to tell us how good we are. I would rather see it on the field. Sure there will be some ups and downs, however as long as our trajectory is heading up... that's all we can ask for. GO BILLS!

Josh Allen - week EIGHT report card
rayray808 replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Last week my thread got taken down for the low grade... I think I am only allow to give good grades now cause this one stayed up -
WEEK ONE: B+ WEEK TWO: A+ WEEK THREE: B+ WEEK FOUR: A- WEEK FIVE: B- WEEK SIX: D WEEK SEVEN: D+ WEEK EIGHT: A 11/18 - 61% completion - 154 yards - 1 INT - 23 yards rushing - 1 TD The good: We beat the Pats and Josh Allen was the reason. We ran the ball well today but that is because the Patriots had to respect the pass and the arm of our franchise QB. His audible play call to John Brown for that quick pass was awesome next level stuff! The bad: The INT was a miscommunication with Diggs, and Stefon was event seen on the sideline telling Josh "my bad". That game swung the momentum and brought the Pats back in it, but again it was not Josh Allens fault at all so it shouldn't count. The ugly: Gabe Davis not being able to catch what should have been the game winning TD. Josh threw is right on target but Davis couldn't catch it. Maybe the wind caught it towards the end but I will just chalk it up as a rookie mistake that he will learn from. Glass half full: We beat the Pats. We are 4-0 in the division and sitting pretty nice in the standings. I am guessing NE goes to Stidham next week and honestly I think the Dolphins are better with Fitz so let's see how they take the rest of the season. The division is ours for the taking. Let's just get better each week as we head into the playoffs. Glass half empty: Schedule gets tough from here. Real tough. Can we make it out while improving in the games we lose? GO BILLS!
