  1. On the field, Jim Kelly has a say... off the field? Josh has already done more positive things in 2 years to surpass the bad stuff from the Kelly era
  2. the Titans will have positive tests tomorrow... after that, I really don't know when they would move our game
  3. I don’t think we should trade for Watt but I do think with Milano hurt we should start thinking about trading one of picks next year for an impact defender for the playoff push
  4. WEEK ONE: B+ WEEK TWO: A+ WEEK THREE: B+ WEEK FOUR: A- 24/34 - 71% completion - 288 yards - 2 TDs passing - 1 TD rushing - 0 turnovers He had one bad play. That's it. So for those who want to harp on the late sack he took that got us out of field goal range, here is me recognizing that yes, it was a bad play. Now let's move on to the rest of the game... Unreal accuracy and poise shown today. The bad drops today didn't break him and cause the offense to unravel like it has done in the past. Just darts all over the field. The fastball and change up was working. Short passes. Deep passes. He had it all. The what should have been TD pass to John Brown as just amazing. The laser to Beasley was a throw not many in the league could make. There was no trickery, and broken plays needed. Josh Allen did it with his arm today. There was a moment after he got hurt where the season flashed before my eyes. If he would have broken his collarbone I honestly have no idea where we would be as a team. Perhaps that "Plan B" is something we should start thinking about as the W's pile up? This now marks 4 games in a row where we saw Josh Allen the passer. Josh Allen the franchise QB. Josh Allen the AFC offensive player of the month. Josh Allen... the potential MVP. GO BILLS!
  5. To clarify with the INT: debate the call all you want. It was a TERRIBLE throw that I have not seen him attempt since his rookie year. A cross body heave into the wilderness. For a QB on his THIRD YEAR to be in the A range, you simply do not attempt plays like that. Couple that with the others and you have a B+. Yes we won, and that is awesome. Yes he is a gamer, that is obvious by now. However, if you guys want Super Bowls? You gotta get rid of stuff like that... plain and simple.
  6. WEEK ONE: B+ WEEK TWO: A+ WEEK THREE: B+ 24/33 - 73% completion - 311 yards - 4 TDs 1 INT - 8 yards rushing - 1 rushing TD - 1 fumble Before the pitchforks come out regarding my grade let me make one thing clear: Josh had some really bad plays that could/should have lost us the game... we still won, but it does not erase those head scratching, game crippling plays. You take those away? He has another A+ game. All I ask is you don't let the flashy fantasy scores blind your assessment of his play this week. With that said, here is what I loved: - Flawless first half of football. He was in command at all times and showed franchise qualities that he is indeed the dude. - Trusting his WR's and spreading the ball all around the field - a mix of fastballs and loft change ups - his touch is unreal right now (Diggs laser in the endzone vs Ramsey was amazing) - He is our offense. 5 TD's total most importantly... - when things were bad, and we knew it was Josh Allen time, deep down I knew he would somehow pull it off. It reminded me of watching Brett Favre back in the day, or even Rodgers now. The 3rd down and long to Beez was just amazing. Then to follow it up with a game winner was must see TV! As Josh progresses and starts becoming weekly MVP talk, we need to be more critical and hopefully clean up the head scratching moments. Yes, maybe the INT should not have counted, but it did and lead to a complete snowball effect of a Rams comeback. Yes, when he avoids the blitz he sometimes makes nice throws down the field however yelling at a ref after a play and taking sacks in moments where we absolutely cannot allow it just cannot happen if we want to win playoff games. Need proof? Watch our last playoff game. Overall, Josh is playing at an incredible level and as a Bills fan I could not be happier. I invested tons of $$ in his rookie cards 3 years ago and right now those prices have absolutely sky rocketed. People are starting to believe, and I am sure networks are calling the league right now trying to get more Josh Allen on TV. B+ vs A-, who cares. We should all be celebrating as Bills fans. We have waited a LOOOONG TIME for this. GO BILLS!
  7. 2021 AFC EAST: Bills - Josh Allen Pats - Cam Newton Dolphins - Tua Jets - Trevor Lawrence
  8. WEEK ONE: B+ WEEK TWO: A+ 24/35 completion - 417 yards, 4 TDs - O INT 0 fumbles - 18 yards rushing I will keep this one simple and to the point. I am 38 years old and this is the best performance by a Bills QB that I can remember. Here are some stand out moments to me: 1) His 16 yard rush where he actually slid to protect himself. I was so happy I even texted my buddy about it. 2) The missed TD throw late to Brown, it seemed he got on the same page with him and found it a few plays later. 3) For once, our offense took on the task of winning the game for us. It was always the defense bailing us out, but perhaps we finally got to the level where we can relieve some pressure from our defense and win a shoot out. 4) "Squeaky wheel" management - I doubt our team culture has/will have an issue but I liked how he distributed the ball to our WRs: - Diggs - 8 catches 153 yards TD - Smoke - 4 catches 82 yards TD - Beez - 5 catches 70 yards My main question after this game: will the national narrative change on Josh Allen? Will he finally get the credit he deserves? GO BILLS! **fun fact: Josh Allen is the first player in Bills history with 400 passing yards, 4 TDs and 0 INTs in a game!
  9. Bills 28 - Dolphins 20 Josh Allen 305 passing yards - 2 TDs - 1 INT - 0 fumbles Devin 2 TD (one passing one rushing) Moss 1 TD (goal line rush) Diggs 1 TD (off a nice pass and some YAC)
  10. Nerves have always seem to effect his game... I'm curious if no crowd has been helping him out
  11. Thanks to everyone for the positive discussion. My intention for the weekly grades it's to 1) offer the most non biased summative review on our QB performance and 2) offer a place where we can all share our opinions on what we saw. Excited for week 2! GO BILLS!
  12. Year 3 of the weekly report card. In year prior I graded him on a rookie/sophomore rubric but now this is the year and time for him to shine: WEEK ONE GRADE: B+ Bills 27 - Jets 17 33/46 - 72% completion - 312 yards - 2 TD's - 0 INT's - 14 rushes - 57 yards - 1 TD rushing - 2 fumbles lost Today we saw some incredible high's, and yet a few head scratching lows that leave me unable to give him an "A" for the week. I love how he had a nice command over the offense through the air to start the game. Confidence, precision, and accurate with his throws. Just when we think though that the franchise has arrived... fumble. And not just a fumble, but the types of fumbles that drove us crazy last year. However Josh did what he does best and bounced back to gain composure of our offense again and did a wonderful job of utilizing Diggs and Brown. However, once we are on the doorstep of putting the nail in the coffin on the Jets - fumble. He did what was needed though to put this game away and I cannot say enough with how good he looked when he was in the pocket firing lasers across the field. Also, that audible he called to Brown for the TD was just awesome to see progression wise. All in all, Josh left me feeling great as a Bills fan. A win. 300 yard game monkey off his back. Passing TD and rushing TD's. However, if he wants to make that jump to an elite QB and/or lock to be a franchise type QB, he needs to eliminate the fumbling issues and missing WIDE OPEN guys like Brown in the endzone... perhaps he needs to realize that being in the pocket can help the team more than the occasional breakout run. POSITIVE STAT OF THE DAY: 312 yards career high passing and finally breaks the 300 yard passing streak that has plagued this team NEGATIVE STAT OF THE DAY: 14 rushing attempts with 2 fumbles (his career high was 10 last year - maybe it's time to rip some of those pages out of the playbook)
  13. weather looking tough... will it affect the deep ball?
  14. I think we see it all game one: - Ed Oliver sack - Josh throw for 300+ - A deep ball to Diggs - Zack Moss goal line score We win big. I just hope we stay humble after
  15. Rotoworld already rumored us to be in the mix but I think it makes total sense: 1) A back up with starter potential - should Josh Allen ever get hurt for multiple games, Rosen has a higher ceiling that Barkley. 2) A healthy competition to push JA - Lots of the top QB's around the league have solid back ups behind them to help the starter remain accountable - Rodgers/Love, Brees/Winston, Carr/Mariota, Trubisky/Foles, Wentz/Hurns, Baker/Keenum, Prescott/Dalton I love Josh Allen and think he can be our franchise QB, but I would feel a lot safer seeing him hurdle opponents with Rosen holding the clipboard.
  16. Let Josh just spray the field with passes, then use delayed hand offs for the first half. Second half, play action and hit some deep balls. Bills 31 - Jets 10
  17. with our luck the strike will occur when we were supposed to be on Monday Night Football ?
  18. cheers to you sir! I almost just caved and paid the full $100 for me and my dads account. Wooooo! Thanks again
  19. anyone else having issues with the BACKTOSCHOOL code for the 20% college discount?
  20. That has literally never happened in his career. Like I said before, I love the dude and 100% support him, but it would be foolish to not recognize that he has ups and downs through games/series. 1 out of 5 quarters is every other game. That is where you should vote if so
  21. After 2 years, and one pandemic driven off season there is a pattern emerging... Good Josh vs Bad Josh Streaky play. 3rd and long where we see something incredible happen, and then 3rd and long where we see something awful happen. Full disclosure, I am a believer in Josh and think he can put it together... but I am also a realist. He is a streaky player. There are countless examples from almost every game he has ever played in, from being forced to play game one vs the Ravens, all the way to the heartbreaking OT loss in Houston. Here are some simple examples though... YEAR ONE: (Week to week streakiness example) - Leaps over a Viking and helps cover the greatest moneyline bet in years. Next game vs Tennessee? 82 yards passing and a INT. YEAR TWO: (first half vs second half streakiness example) - Jets opener - INT city down 16-0, helps us come back to get the W. OFF SEASON: - Reports of Josh doing very well, then the next practice not so much. My question to the group, besides in the poll, is what level of streakiness are you expecting this season? What level of streakiness is acceptable for a "franchise guy" to be? What level of streakiness can this team rebound from and still be a contender? Most importantly: GO BILLS!
