This entire season is preseason for 2018.

There is an entire generation that does not remember when teams feared coming to Buffalo in December because the Bills thrived in cold weather. How many games did we win just because opposing teams (esp. Miami) couldn't compete with us in Buffalo weather.

I think McBean has been all in on 2018 the whole time, and anything done to "win now" has been window dressing. The fact we are 6-6 is largely due to game preparation and (gasp) some good bounces. The Era of McBean starts in 2018.

This was my take. They are looking at 2018 and they know they don't want TT next year. Why not see of Peterman is a possibility? Regardless what they say, MCBean has been about 2018 since preseason. Now at least they know they need to draft a QB in first or second round. Peterman is definitely NOT the guy.

The Jets were pumped up and found a way to beat us: 5-man rush to collapse the pocket around TT, who takes his time getting rid of the ball. 5 sacks early on killed any momentum the O could build. McD made adjustments i.e. having TT use his running ability to roll out of the pocket and pick up running yards, by the end of the game our O had really good numbers and was a botched extension away from making a game of it in the 3rd. Was too little too late but I bet McD wont let the same thing happen ever again, unlike our previous coaches who seemed to stick with losing game plans not just for the game but for the entire season. You can bet McD spent most of the last 24 hours figuring out what he needs to fix for NO. You can bet he has his coaching staff going through the film with a fine toothed comb writing essays on what went wrong and what needs to change. Unlike Rex who probably would have gone to a Hooters after giving the team a long weekend off.

I am sure McBean ditched him because they didn't like his personality. It is the only possible reason other than medical, but he cleared the trade. Its the only thing I don't approve of McBean so far. With SW we are 4-0.

wow. just wow. I thanked Marrone when he took the money and ran, then I cursed him when I figured out who Rex really was. But if two years of Rex tanking a great D is price for getting McD - it may be worth it. Time will tell, but so far he seems to be The Guy at HC.
