I CAN'T WAIT til the Ravens come to Buffalo
eball replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Be prepared for a LOT of Baltimore fans at The Cap. -
Turn the Rams over, they are done. Man, these NFC Super Bowl representatives have really crashed and burned lately (Atlanta, Philly, Rams). Baltimore looks unstoppable right now.

I CAN'T WAIT til the Ravens come to Buffalo
eball replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If I have confidence in one thing with this Bills staff, it is that they will put forth a solid gameplan on defense. I love that they get a couple of extra days to get ready for this one as well. Baltimore is playing so well right now, with so much confidence, that it will take an elite effort to stay in the game. -
Serious question or trolling? The Bills have a top 5 defense and they play in the AFC. You also have a reading comprehension problem as I didn’t say the Bills would slow them down, I found it odd the announcers wouldn’t mention them when talking about teams with strong defenses in the AFC. Understand now?
-
In the 3rd quarter they started talking about who could slow down the Ravens in the AFC and put up the playoff position chart...Booger said “it’s going to take a team with strong defense” and neither one of them so much as mentioned the Bills. Fug ‘em.

Sheeeet, I'm up at 6 every morning.

Not really since Duke doesn't fill the same sort of role as Foster. I feel like Duke is going to be a guy they break out based purely upon the matchups for a given week.

Former Bills Coach Hank Bullough Passes at 85

That malapropism was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the alert that Hank had passed. -
How is your family going to handle Thanksgiving?
eball replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My wife and I are leaving Wed. a.m. to drive down to Georgia to see her dad and sister, but we are staying in an AirBNB. Thursday a.m. we will head to her sister's house, where dinner will be at around 1 p.m. (thankfully these Southerners think that is a reasonable dinner time and for once, I don't disagree). Between 3:30 and 4 we will take our leave and head back to our AirBNB where I will watch the game in blissful post-turkey splendor. I am EXCITED for football on Thanksgiving for the first time in 15 years! -

Save it for after W17 when we defeat the Jets to win the AFC East at 13-3 and earn the #1 overall seed in the AFC.- 81 replies

Josh Allen: Stats Through 11 Games (2018 vs. 2019)

Great minds... -
How did you feel waking up this morning?
eball replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I feel great. Love being two games clear of 6th place, even with the gauntlet of opponents standing in the way. Call me crazy but I think we open some eyes this Thursday. -
I don't text before 7 am unless I'm responding to the rude @ss who texted me first.

Check your propane supply before you start (there's nothing worse than running out of gas 1/2-way into a cook).

Levy, Saban, Knox have to be the first three, right?

Josh Allen: Stats Through 11 Games (2018 vs. 2019)
eball replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't need to see stats to watch Josh Allen and see a completely different QB in 2018. Last year was deep throws and wild scrambles. This year is a 10-20 yard precision passing game, controlled runs, and poise in the pocket. -
No. The Pats*** hold the common games tiebreaker with the Bills if they finish with the same W-L record (presuming the Bills beat them in Foxboro). At this point the Bills' only plausible chance at the division is for the Pats*** to lose at Houston and to KC, while the Bills win out.

I agree that we are about to learn a lot over the next five weeks. My feeling is that Josh and the offense are trending up, and the defense is very solid but not dominant. Against Dallas and Baltimore the Bills are going to need to score at least 24 points, so the timing couldn't be better for the offense to be showing signs of life.

This is a silly post from start to finish. I did NOT: -- state or imply the Bills have everything "figured out" -- state or imply they couldn't use additional weapons -- state or imply the Bills "have arrived" because they defeated Miami and Denver If you and others don't want to recognize and enjoy the offense's progress that's your business.

I wouldn't have married a woman who didn't agree to become a Bills fan. This couple we're bringing are good friends who unfortunately also happen to be Ravens fans. We've been to the last six Bills/Ravens games together -- so far the home team has won each time so I'm crossing my fingers that trend continues.

Man, some of you guys are so afraid to feel good about the Bills it's heartbreaking. Lighten up! They put up 420+ yards in consecutive weeks and literally dominated a very good Broncos defense. The Bills' offense is not bad now and only getting better. Like I said in the original post, if you're still "worried" about the offense you have my sympathies!

Week 12: Broncos at Bills Postgame Thread
eball replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You really need to discuss this analysis with @Nextmanup -- who has been noticeably absent the past couple of weeks, by the way -- as he knows for certain Allen sucks and it's only a matter of time before the rest of us wake up. -
Baltimore fans travel well...I should know, I'm bringing two of them. Bills fans just need to buck up and buy those tickets and fill the seats.
-
Hey man, you start the threads you want to start and I'll start the threads I want to start. Everyone has trashed the offense and in back to back weeks they've looked like a better-than-average NFL offense. I don't think there's anything wrong with recognizing that even when the team wasn't scoring they've been moving the ball, as evidenced by their overall yardage ranking. They just won two NFL games in a row by 17 points, which is an anomaly in this league. With so many new pieces and the limited amount of time the CBA allows for practice, it was only reasonable to suggest it would take them some time. If you want to carry on with the "yeah, but I need to see it consistently" refrain be my guest, but I see an offense that is most definitely trending up and giving opponents multiple things to worry about.
