  1. I think Josh Allen will be fine, but man, it would have been nice if he had been able to learn for a season behind Fitz. The first half of Josh's rookie season was pretty lost, at least until they brought DA in.
  2. Me too! Always looked for #77. RIP. My 10-year-old self says it hurt worse. I loved that 1980 team.
  3. Well, to be fair, neither are considered "deep threats" and that's the area Josh seems to be focusing on.
  4. Tremendous interview. Literally every time I hear Beane speak I thank my lucky stars he came to Buffalo. He and McD are building a monster.
  5. Josh is just a smart guy and completely dedicated to being great. His release is quick; he has still been learning how to play QB because he started playing the position relatively "late" in his young life. He has had SO much catching up to do. I really think he's going to jump off the page this season; the crowd who thought he'd never make it will be eating heaping servings of crow.
  6. Raw only counts for so long, you're right, but I certainly think he gets three full seasons before he's "all growns up."
  7. I agree we'll see a huge jump this season, but I disagree that's "all he has left." Josh was so raw coming out of college that he will continue to learn and develop over the next several years.
  8. My thinking is top-10 means a star. Top "half" means that 15-20 range that doesn't wow anyone but isn't awful.
  9. I’m curious...lots of talk about this and that. What do you predict?
  10. You don't have to agree with me. I think homefield advantage is a fun concept for fans, to believe they are part of the outcome. In my opinion, good teams are focused even more on the road and therefore the "advantage" to the home team is minimized. As some others have noted in the thread, getting too "pumped up" by your home crowd can lead to less-than-ideal performances, particularly early in games.
  11. Calm down, man. I didn't say it was "no" factor, I said it is overblown. I also suggested that it helps bad teams more than good ones. These are all OPINIONS. I believe if NFL games are played without fans the teams who will be most negatively impacted are the bad teams.
  12. Why didn't those home crowds lead to better results at home? It's an overblown "advantage."
  13. Buffalo was a better road team than home team last year.
  14. Umm, yeah, that's not going to happen. For a gazillion reasons. As to the original post -- I think homefield advantage is more of a benefit to poor teams with great fans than it is to teams who are already good/established (or teams with milquetoast fans). I don't think the Bills would be negatively impacted by the absence of fans at The Cap.
  15. We're all essentially rooting for the laundry, man...that's why we care so much.
  16. The numbers are bad and what's up with the upper left front patch, but the helmet is pretty cool and overall they're not "awful."
  17. Well, you're a Jets fan. The Bills have been a winning team over the past three seasons with two playoff appearances and enter year 4 of the current regime with the best roster, top to bottom, in the AFC East. It's really not debatable. Only the Pats*** have an edge in coaching. We'll see how it all plays out.
  18. @JetsFan20 crazy things happen but you're forgetting the Bills are no longer a "question mark" -- they are in their 4th year under McD and Beane. They're probably in the top 5-6 teams league-wide in terms of stability. Barring major injuries no reason to believe they won't start at least 3-1 with that schedule. I see 3-3 as the "worst case scenario" through 6 but more likely we're talking 4-2 or perhaps 5-1. Not being overzealous here...just looking at what the predictions will be and knowing the teams' rosters.
  19. Is this true? I don't believe everyone has gotten that promotion.
  20. And if a GM's "low point" is bringing in a once-productive WR he was familiar with to help the team in a playoff run, so be it.
  21. HALLE-FREAKING-LUJAH!!! Symptoms: - runny nose - fever - wild, incomprehensible rants - over-exaggeration of symptoms Treatment: - place television on mute
  22. Seriously. All I’m waiting for is “hear me out...”
