  1. They also spent a 1st rounder on another QB project. TOTALLY didn't panic. This is what i see happening. We won't bottom out to the point where we can add a top dog. I'd like to see us bring someone else in, but who knows? Cardale might be good, I don't watch bills practices so I can't really say.
  2. We'd have to send some salary for next year back in the trade though
  3. He's always had the numbers and the arm, but was like a better version of cutler. Backbreaking picks and throwing for 400 yards to try and make up for mistakes and mediocre defense. That and 0 clutch ability. Now he's taking what defenses give him, including on 2 minute drills. Waiting to take his shots and trusting his eyes.
  4. I don't think we have the cap room to make this work....
  5. Division record would mean a lot in a multi team tie. But if its say just us and Balt. They get in on H2H. Beating Pitt/Oak/Cin are huge for this. So we need to win 10 and hope only 1 or 2 teams can get to that point because we basically lose a ton of tiebreakers
  6. But you aren't the GM, and you don't have absolute job security. The issue you are going to run into is that you will be fired when/if the team bottoms out.
  7. I just don't get it... you can easily NOT do this and still take him out of the play. That to me makes me think it was intentional. It's simple - if you don't eject people they will keep doing it. Eject them from the game, and take the game check. He would more than likely think twice about taking someones head off if its going to affect his pay.
  8. I'm just using the example as he's the flavor of the week this week. He's always been one of those in the conversation guys, but never took the next step to being great or a winner. Players can change and evolve - Russell wilson was downright dominant at the end of last season. This year he sucks. It's a team game and because of that you can only put so much on a single player. If a WR runs the wrong route, he may look open, but he's not where he is supposed to be. If a lineman blows his assignment, a play is blown up before it gets started. If a receiver doesn't line up correctly, you can correclty assume he doesn't know what he's doing. This costs timeouts, as well as time to get a pre-snap read. And if a QB misses a throw, that's on him. I've played enough football to know that blame goes all around.
  9. Meh - any given sunday i suppose. I don't see it, but even with my homer blinders on I thought we'd beat Miami.
  10. Same could be said of Matt Stafford not too long ago. Gaudy numbers, but wilts under pressure. Now he's a comeback kid. Players can change and evolve. But i really don't feel like arguing about it.
  11. We needed to do more to neutralize their pass rush. I'd like to see more screens and swings. We just don't have dynamic playmakers right now to capitalize on those types of plays. Edelman makes it look so easy, but you have to be a certain type of guy to have that offense run through you. Too many penalties, games are called inconsistently. Excessive celebration penalties and uniform violations. It's just... ugh.
  12. This looks like a season where NE will walk to the super bowl, and probably lose somehow to someone random. Maybe Seattle gets it together for 60 minutes and plays well or Atlanta's offense overwhelms them, I just think this is the year they dominate but don't win it.
  13. I doubt it had anything to do with rex. TT was running out of bounds on a meaningless drive to end the game and the LB pushed him out. He took offense, even though it was legal, since the only result you're going to get is an injured Tyrod. When he started shouting, Reshad Jones got in his face to kind of... rub it in I guess? They then did the same thing, actually late the 2nd time, and got flagged for it. I get wanting to hit people, but when he's a step from out of bounds and you're up 11 with 1 minute left, what's the point other than intent to injure?
  14. Blanton had a really good chance to blow him up and went low. Others in the same situation wouldn't have been so kind.
  15. Our D had played 6 plays in the half to that point...
  16. I didn't think he looked out of place at all. He wasn't missing tackles or getting pushed around at all. We really only used him on 3rd downs, and he performed fine.
  17. AJ Green would look good in a Bills Uni... Same with Patrick Peterson.
  18. What's funny is he seems to be more accurate when hes moving. The little under route to hunter was a nice little 3rd down conversion. And the first couple rollout plays seemed to work. I hate the rolling out in the red zone calls though - it never works. It CAN work, but only if there's the threat of a run there. On one he was rolling left, and it looked like o'leary was wide open but he didn't throw it. I couldn't see o'leary to see if he was maybe not looking? Or maybe he broke off his route thinking TT was going to run? I have no idea, but I can't imagine he didn't see him.
  19. I would keep him if I were GM. Releasing him means I don't have a QB, and will either have to use a ton of draft capital to get one, or will be starting Cardale. If the team bottom's out - I will get fired. I don't want to get fired, therefore I will keep him.
  20. Yeah - not having a run game means no play action, which means the bootleg plays don't work as well. Then we're left with a 4th round pick as our starter. I guess it could work - but if you're the GM... there's a fairly good chance you are fired at the end of the season. Would you hedge your career on that?
  21. I didn't think it was that bad when i looked at it on here: http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/tyrod-taylor-7899/ We paid out a bunch of the money this year to keep the guarantees lower the rest of the way. And the cap hits are pretty reasonable honestly. Solid solution for the next 2 years. Which is enough time for Rex/Whaley to see if they can break this playoff curse.
  22. I agree with this statement. Anyone saying "tannehill had a good game" clearly didn't watch the first 3 quarters. He was the reason they were losing! Every time he dropped back to pass i was happy it wasn't an ajayi run.
  23. Had a few hurries. He's a big man, so I don't expect him to be able to run down a guy like tannehill consistently
  24. Yeah true... but there are no consequences right now. U get the same fine if ur socks are too blue.
  25. Call it the way they do in college. Let the booth make the call, and have the ref toss him. He loses the game check. But the nflpa will never allow it
