  1. Forte is tough - the 49ers suck but hes in a bit of a time share with powell, and who knows what the game plan will be with petty in. I would be stacking the box if it were me. Cousins has been one of the best qb's in the past few weeks, and philly has been getting torn up lately.
  2. All of this makes sense - but i still go out and try and win this game. If we can take care of business the last 4 weeks, the playoffs aren't likely but are at least possible. Lose this one - and I'm open to whatever. But you may as well move on from Tyrod since you will have shattered any faith you appeared to have in the guy.
  3. Yeah - what do you say to that. He already said he didn't want to talk contract.
  4. He answered all of their questions. They just spin it because he was a dick to them and they didn't like it. He didn't wanna answer their contract related questions. Questions that should be directed at, I dunno the gm? The pegulas? Someone who might actually have the ability to make that decision. I'd have probably answered it as, I'm either here or I'm not here... that's not really up to me. And even then u can spin it as he doesn't care or something.
  5. I mean, his answers don't seem bad on here... http://buffalonews.com/2016/12/07/said-buffalo-bills-transcripts-rex-ryan-tyrod-taylor-five-others-wednesday/ Because he doesn't outright say "I need to be better" he's like their enemy. They all need to be better... he's right in that regard.
  6. When belichek refuses to answer questions it's ok, and kinda funny. on to Baltimore. Etc. but when a player doesn't wanna talk about his contract he's a baby. Guy says he's focused on Pittsburgh, and guess what we have until like march to decide what to do with his contract... i wouldn't be super focused on it either. Also, breaking news! Rodak made another click bait "article"... watching the press conference it was not a big deal, but well say the locker room is falling apart. The worst was when Sammy did a 30 minute interview with Dunn and like 15 seconds of it focused on more targets. Next day rodak writes an article, uses that quote and basically says Sammy is a selfish POS. News these days... all clicks.
  7. Sink or swim time for me. If he sucks... let him suck these last 4 games to make the decision easier.
  8. We restructured clay - there isn't a "figure out a way" to do that. His dead cap would be 13.5 mil, and its 9 million to keep him. If woods probably gets 6 per, britts going to get something like 8.
  9. 44 million in 2 years... how much do you need to lock up your financial future?
  10. He did pick up a pretty big PI penalty as well
  11. For me it wasn't about giving him a raise because we feel we have to, but it was about extending him at a modestly cheap contract before he either crashes and burns (which the out was put in for), or before he leads the team to the playoffs. You have to give him some money in year 1 or whats the incentive to sign?
  12. Yeah - not until 2019 does it become palatable.
  13. Well... we are the only team in the league using the turf we use. I've played on it - its strange and spongey. http://www.si.com/nfl/2015/10/01/nfl-stadium-turf-grass-rankings
  14. Yeah - that transition tag in general is pretty strange. You know anyone signing him is going to make it hard for you to match.
  15. All things considered, we can avoid most of the cap charges by avoiding the option bonus. The goal was to have control beyond this year, and not feel inclined to use a franchise tag. In order to get him to sign on the dotted line - we had to throw some dollars his way this year. The dead cap is only 2.8 mil if we release him before the 3rd league day.
  16. Agreed - would def be good for a solid comp pick. Him + woods + gilmore may be a couple 3s or 4s. And considering we don't have a ton of space to sign impact free agents, I'd think we'd want to get all 3 of those picks. Assuming we bottom out next year with still having no QB, limited receivers, and holes on defense, itll be nice to go into the 2018 draft with hopefully a couple of extra picks in those mid rounds. You can trade them now too, so its like having a bit of extra ammo.
  17. To be fair - the last time New Orleans made the playoffs, rob ryan was the DC. The D was ranked 4th in points and yards.
  18. We're at best a wildcard team as long as brady is starting. I say spin the wheels for a couple years.... I wouldn't bottom out yet because you could be on the bottom for like 5 or 6 years. We're more than 1 player away from being a division contender.
  19. Not quite a blake bortles windup - but it seems to take a while to get the ball out. I feel like they're bumping receivers to throw off his timing too.
  20. Not sure what it is - but he hasn't been generating much pressure. I assume if they are cutting back his snaps, then he's either making mistakes/missing assignments, or dealing with an injury or something.
  21. I think its far too late. We could've traded for him after the first 2 or 3 years, and failed to pony up the 3rd or so that they watned. He's either franchised or locked up.... either way - not our problem.
  22. So... pretty good. All things considered for them as a whole though. They dumped maxwell, murray, and bradfords contracts. Moved up to get Wentz. Got the extra pick back from the bradford deal. They're set up nicely moving forward if Wentz develops. So far - he looks fairly mediocre.
  23. Our AFC record cleans itself a bit if we win out. Our last 4 are all AFC games. Everyone else loses some AFC games as well so it evens out.
