  1. My wife never watches football with me, but she was fascinated watching that game.
  2. Was there offset language in the 5th year option that allows him to double dip? Im not sure that changes the cap charge though- just his actual cash earnings
  3. He wasn't without his faults. Too many formations, too many plays, it always seemed like the plays were getting in super late which leads to penalties. And before you blame Tyrod, he had that problem with Alex Smith and CK in SF. Dabolls units have had penalties in pre-snap but they seem to have mostly cleaned that up. The O-line has been brutal with penalties recently though.
  4. I can't believe they didn't try out Peterman. I want his redemption story!
  5. I remember Greg Roman being a popular pick in the 2015-2016 offseason. He didn't get any traction and we fired him like a week into 2016.
  6. I love him as a player - but i think its a chronic pain tolerance issue.
  7. It's a football game.. and you aren't even playing! You have no bearing on the end result of the game, nor should the end result have any bearing on your needing to fight opposing fans.
  8. I think the team will be active in free agency, but i don't think they'll spend that full 90 million, you can carry it over to next years cap and how much new money you add can affect extensions in the future.
  9. My buddy who is a jets fan was soooo elated that they won against NE - and i wrote write on his playoff bound facebook post. You're going to lose to sexy Rexy and the Bills - mark it.
  10. Just saying - they keep opening this guys feet up. It's becoming a serious problem. He has talent for sure, but he's the 3rd best option on that team at the moment. 2 games with over 100 yards this year, and 3 total TDs. On an offense that is scoring an insane number of points. I wouldn't say he's having a "good" year at all.
  11. When McD mentions the LOS in every presser I think they are both very aware. As for draft - we aren't loaded with tons of talent at any position really other than maybe LB and Safety. BPA if its a DT, DE, OT, WR - they need talent across the board. I would hate reaching for something just because we missed in free agency. It's a process right? I'd like to see a pass rusher added to the group. If the top OL is off the board and a premier DT/DE is available in the draft i say go for it.
  12. They traded for him during a playoff race when our receivers were really banged up. He ended up tearing his meniscus in like his 2nd game here and came back and continued to play sparingly. This season was supposed to be his chance to go through camp - be the number 1. He has been nothing short of worthless. We shot a shot to try and get to the playoffs (we did but he had little to do with it, maybe that TD against Indy in the snow game) - We also had a pick surplus from the Watkins, Darby, Ragland, & Dareus trades. Considering they ended up moving Tyrods last year, and Glenn as well the lost pick isn't exactly hamstringing our draft. Bryce brown was just - a bad player evaluation in the offseason. Either way, neither worked out. a 7th round pick for coleman isn't really worth anything... it was training camp and they knew our WR room was bad. Try and improve it As for Watkins - 40 for 500 and 3 isn't exactly a high level (hes a top 10 paid WR). He's also been having foot issues all season, and his cap hit triples in 2019. They can't even dump him on this deal because they guaranteed so much. The only way to lessen the cap hit would be to extend him, and no one would do that when he missed time every year with a foot soreness issue. If the foot issue continues it could be one of the worst contracts in football.
  13. I just wonder whether teams are able to criticize the officiating - like submit film from the previous game showing all the calls they missed etc. A ref who tells Allen to quit whining/crying, and another who calls Hughes a name - like... its clear they weren't interested in calling this game down the middle.
  14. If no one signs them for a contract of any value - there are no comp picks. We'll also be active in Free agency, and won't have a net loss this year. So we won't get comp picks.
  15. I think the sabres are still paying Cody Hodgson and Christian Ehrhoff
  16. Maybe the straw that broke the camels back. Maybe something more definitive was said - or late to a meeting or something. Either way, its refreshing that they were content to just move on.
  17. We've entered evaluation mode at 4-8. McCloud, Mckenzie, and foster are all trying to make an impression for 2019.
  18. Good point - the likelihood of injury for all non-punters is like 1000% higher. And QBs get hurt pretty frequently too. Blocking in the back is like... so common its stunning. If we literally did nothing except fair catch everything, we'd probably have a better punt return unit than we have had over the last few years.
  19. I would think you could use any mostly dedicated teams player/returner. Logan thomas already helped execute a fake punt - he's athletic enough to run around and buy time, and has a good arm. I guess it would take away some reps though?
  20. Shady has to chip or block most of the game because our line is so bad. I think he'll still be a useful 3rd down back in 2019 but thats just me. I do think we need to address the position a bit though.
  21. I know a &I'm was all about the 12th man, and wouldn't let anyone use it in games or on merch. But u can't stop a player from saying it
  22. They did a great job bottling up kamara and just... crushing him consistently when he cut up field. I was honestly concerned he wouldnt make it out of that game. They stopped the run really well, put them in tough down and distances all game. They also did a great job just sticking to their receivers in man, and not letting kamara and ingram hurt them in the passing game.
  23. It's tricky - Most teams don't want foster, yet he was claimed by the redskins. I understand that there's a redemption and rehabilitation factor that you cannot discount, however at the same time it's an incredibly public job and public perception can cost you as an owner/league money. Him being in the league does not make the league more money - however i do think his bad publicity could cost them money.
  24. Gase and Tannehill are just so... blah. Even when they were doing well i still think they stink. They just always look so beatable.
  25. Depends on draft too. If we get a blue Chip left tackle I could see shifting Dawkins to guard or right tackle
